  • Microneedling is a non-surgical treatment utilizing a pen-like tool consisting of tiny pinpoint needles to create temporary wounds to the skin. The healing process of these microscopic injuries is what stimulates collagen and enhances overall health and texture of the skin.
    Benefits of Microneedling:
    -Builds collagen + elastin
    -Diminishes fine lines + wrinkles
    -Smooths appearance of scars (including acne scarring)
    -Improves texture
    -Can also tighten skin
    Microneedling can treat many areas of the body, including full face, spot treatment for scars, hands, neck and chest. Downtime consists of a few days of red/pink skin tone appearance and skin tightness, similar to a sun burn.
    Expert Nurse Injector, Michele Bailey, demonstrates this treatment on the hands of a patient in her mid-40's who desired a more youthful appearance of her hands.

    I do it but beware. When I do it, my hands get very red and swollen. The next day they look young BUT it only lasts 2 days at the most. So I think you need to do this every week regularly. I have not been doing it as often as I should but I will try now and see if the results last longer. You can buy the device in line for under $100 and do it yourself. I also apply Hyaluronic acid before doing it and after.

      Me too. They look great for 2 days then back to normal. :(. I also apply Hyaluronic acid during the treatment and after a lot. I have the device too.

    This is so exciting! I thought I would have to do Botox and filler in my hands. I think when I was a little girl I got extremely dry skin from moving to Kansas City from California. During the winter I didn’t protect my skin and I had really bad damage. I didn’t realize it but I think that’s why my hands are extremely rough looking as an adult. No amount of lotion has helped. I think micro needling might help aid in healing my hands and giving me smooth feminine hands. Thanks for the video!

      @@greenytaddict Yes I have been doing this at home and it has made a significant difference. I have only done it 2x though. Over time I’ll see better results. At night I’d rub the leftover product on my hands that I use for my face routine all over my hands

      Did you find out which depth?

    • @blissfulnovember
      @blissfulnovember Před 3 dny

      @@unbalancedattempt 5 years later and with experience built up over those years, I can now say that the depth will depend on the thickness of the skin. I usually start with 0.5mm to 1.5mm.
      36pin will also be less painful to the client but I find 12 pin to be more effective with some more visible lines/wrinkles.
      I hope this helps!

    The depth depends on the patient, you should be able to start low and increase for erythema, the tale tale sign of good microneedling.
