Can reviewers start mentioning how car prices are getting out of hand. The fact that 28k is considered "affordable" these days should say something. To normal people, a 28k car is expensive.
Unfortunately $28K is in the low side nowadays. My college grad daughter bought her first new car, 2023 Toyota Cross for $25K and that’s all she could afford but on the upside the newer Corolla Cross comes with many modern safety features weren’t available just a few years back. Toyota safety sense, wireless Apple CarPlay great mileage etc $25-28k is good value.

Yes it had more modern things, but that was always the case with cars. Toyot safety sense had been around for a few years now. Has it gotten better yes but still all cars are over priced.

If it’s your first car u better get a used 03 Camry or something. Mine was an 08 Kia rondo. I liked that car a lot n it taught me a lot about maintenance. Once I learned then I got a brand new car

You obviously haven’t been car shopping recently. Used car are almost the same price as new cars. Of course people are going to buy new and be the first owner when prices are similar between new and used.

$13,000 for a new car was reasonable in my day. New V6 Mustangs were in the very early $20,000’s and the V8’s were under 30k back these new!
