Bazil Grimstride HAL puts in Easter Eggs to themselves in the Kirby games all the time. The Dreamhatcher logo is found in both Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot. The Halberd, Halcandra, and Haltmann are all named after HAL.
When Magolor was in Halcranda before he crashed, he heard about a sacred crown and other treasures guarded by a dragon. He heard the crown granted unimaginable power, and the dragon wore it. He knew he needed the crown. So he snuck into the cave, and he saw a starship. The Lor Starcutter. He thought about using it as his getaway vehicle. So he rode it, and as soon as he got into it, the dragon awoke. So he fled. Just as the ship hit warp speed, it exploded. So the energy spheres and parts flew off. He thought he would never return to his life again. Then, four explorers entered his ship. He asked for their help, and they obliged. He got the parts back to his ship. He thanked them. Then he got an idea, a rotten idea. He offered to show them his home. When they landed, he told them the dragon was evil and it needed to be removed from its crown. As soon as that was done, he picked up the crown he did it. He got the power. But something wasn't right. He could not control the words he was saying, the things he was doing. He was trapped in the power of the crown. So he watched as he fought Kirby and his buddies. Then when it was all over, he escaped from the dimension he was in. He returned to his home and stayed there. Then Kirby visited again, and he wanted to show him one last thing- the challenge rooms that weren't in the Lor. They had fun, even raced a bit. In the end, Kirby knew and forgave.
Remember when this was the pinnacle of epic Kirby music along with Zero Two's theme? Now basically every kirby game since has had tracks be just as good or even surpass these. God Damn HAL, why are you so good at making amazing music?
+Jared Eskridge I sort of agree with you. Maybe not all, using now should go to hell, but you are so right of music like this being underrated. I would LOVE to see an orchestra version of this song
+Daniel Tobon well this is kind of all ready a orchestra version because of it is like a orchestra version remix of the main theme of Kirby returns to dreamland

One of my favorite details about this fight is Magolor's Screen Flip thing. It just goes to show that he's become so powerful, he can essentially break the 4th wall and affect the player themself.
in all honesty magalor is mostly likely a combo of various other villans from the franchise. the eye is from zero, the hands are from nightmare, the manipulation and wings are from marx, the "head with floating" hands design is from necrodeus, and the paint like flesh is from drawica, and those are just the ones i can name off the top of my head!
This song is beautiful. I get chills every single time I listen to this. Growing up playing Kirby games and now listening to this 20 years later I just can't believe it. Specifically at 1:50 it's just a reminder that this is still a Kirby song.. Nintendo, never change.
Also, this boss theme made me cry for two reasons. A. When you put the first letters of every area in the game together, you get CROWNED. B. IT'S LITERALLY A REMIXED, ORCHESTRATED VERSION OF THE TITLE THEME. This battle represents fighting the ultimate evil. This is what the adventure had come to. This is what I need EVERY FINAL BOSS TO MAKE ME FEEL. I want to FEEL my achievements push me forward, I want MORE BATTLES that are so hard you feel as if you're running on willpower alone.
Welp, they did the same thing with Kirby Planet Robobot. Put the first letters of each world in the name. (Spoilers, I so sorry if you haven't played it) Patched Plains Resolution Road Overload Ocean Gigabyte Grounds Rhythm Road Access Ark Mind in the Program And it spells PROGRAM, which is the music of the 3rd phase of Star Dream's battle. (Spoilers again, sorreh.) It's literally the title theme as well!
So there is a debate on FLOWER vs. CROWNED. CROWNED is very final boss worthy and feels very dramatic and epic. FLOWER is very mystical in comparison and feels like an upbeat version of a song that would bring an apocalypse. I like both for what they are for. HAL is good at making Kirby music. that is all.
Can't tell you that because I haven't completed Kirby Triple Deluxe (I don't even have a 3DS...). I listened to that final theme because my friend told me to.
Now, don't get your mind in a car crash when I tell you this. Malgolor's original form and the soul yes is creepy ( just like any other Kirby boss) but there's a reason for these crazy bosses. Think about the environment of these crazy and creepy bosses and think about the theme of the game itself and think about the character AND the place the character lives. Here, let me give you the facts. Kirby is part of Dream Land, a place where dreams happen. Lets stop there. Where DREAMS happen. Nightmares are corrupted versions of dreams. This is proven further in NIGHTMARE in Dreamland. You are Kirby who has to stop the dreams from ending. That story line includes the star rod (Brain) that controls the fountain of dreams (the place in your brain that produces dreams) that gets corrupted by an evil (the evil thought that controls what your dreaming) that you have to stop (or you to control). The figures of Dreamland are all cute because they are other dreams. The "abilities" you take are just you taking the forms of other dreams. The Nightmare-ish final bosses are just you conquring your Nightmare. Therefore, Kirby wasn't Just an idea, it is a was to put a game for conquoring the Nightmare inside of you. WOW, IIIIIIII, sound like MatPat.
Yes, think about it this way... You are Kirby fighting all these things that corrupt your mind. These are you good dreams/memories that are revolving around that bad dream/memory. So that's why when you usually start Kirby, you start with the easy to kill dreams like getting fresh air from the forest to clear your mind to a frightening, no enemy, Straight-towards-a-threat boss with nothing for help. There is no good dreams in bad nightmares in that last stage. Also Kirby is you in the subconcince area.
That would explain why I slept easier after beating Nightmare in Dreamland before going to bed. Either that or it was some kind of accidental placebo effect.
me: (shows this to a friend) me: this is from a Kirby game friend: no way, Kirby games only have bright and cheerful music. theres no way this is from a kirby game me: (facepalm)
Does anyone else notice that the light blueish aura in magolor soul looks like magolor trying to escape... or the fact that he says KIRRRRRRRBBBBBYYYY when he dies...
LpsDreamer01 How does it look like Magalor? is there a certain shape to it or...? Cause when you actually play the game, the blue aura moves around. I don't exactly understand what you're saying. Could you please describe what you mean, like where exactly on the body it is, what the shape looks like, ect. I'm really curious and want to know now!
I just thought of something... And be warned, this might be a bit of a stretch, so bear with me. But what if Magolor Soul is a mixture of several of Kirby's past enemies? We have the eye of 0². We have the cape of Marx. We have the hands of Nightmare. ... Feel free to add to this, because that's the lot of Kirby's foes who I really know that I see here.
Jose Villalobos We have the mouth of Drawcia's soul. We have the horns of Necrodious. We have the armor(?) of Dark Mind. We have the aura of Dark Zero (squeak squad).
This Final Boss Theme fits it's surroundings like Peanut Butter and Jelly Color Palette, the Popstar Portal, always-moving ground, the water ripples from the island in the middle, the ascending stars from the horizon in the background, the ground being literal fire that doesn't hurt you (that's some very good movie or book shit) and Magolor Soul himself fit right into this interdimensional battlefield with its own laws of physics (Another Dimension shenanigans) This is literally the perfect boss in all of Video Game History and the Music is a big reinforcing factor, because it sounds so out of the world (you are literally out of the world)
My favorite Kirby track, it gives u the feeling that the fate of the universe is in your hands and you're fighting one if the strongest beings in existence. Not to mention it has a very epic and hopeless feel to it and the fact that its orchestrated makes it 10x better already.
What is it with kirby and final bosses seriously it's like the people who make these games get tired of the the cutesy kirby and throw any dark, depressing, or morbid thing they can think of at the final boss.
That's just kinda what the Kirby series does, man. And after the impact Zero left on us as the first creepy final boss, it makes sense they would continue the tradition.
***** An interesting theory. But I think you're reading a little too much into it. Nightmare in Dreamland was literally referring to the main antagonist, Nightmare haunting dreamland, not kirby. I will concede that I felt like the bad guy in several of his games (namely Super Star Ultra during Revenge of the King and Meta Knight's Revenge). However, Marx, Magolor, Nightmare, all of them were genuine threats to the universe that had to be stopped. I do feel a little bad for the waddle dees, but I think Kirby does the mass murdering for the greater good :)
the perfect scenario for this theme: you have the most powerful weapon you ever seen, you fight your greatest rival who has an equal amount of power, your on a collision course for the sun, this music plays in the background. The best boss scenario EVER!!!
Kirby has defeated many enemies along the way. King DeDeDe, Dark Matter, Zero, Zero Two, Marx, Magolor, Queen Sectonia, Nightmare, Daroach, and so on. Extremely strong enemies, some able to destroy the entire universe easily, and Kirby beats them.He may have gotten help from friends, but he beats them. And he's just a baby, too. Imagine if he becomes a full-grown adult.
Suppose that Magolor Soul is not using his two white eyes up top. He may look like he's smiling, but if the eye in his mouth is the eye he's really using... It looks SUPER pissed. For instance, put your finger over the two white eyes, then see what his expression REALLY looks like.
I have a thoeory abouut the Master Crown. i belive that apon being defeated, the master crown would absorb all forms of evil, including the enemys that kirby has defeated over the years. When maglor first put on the master crown, unknowing of the evils inside, lost control over his power, attacking out of only pure evil. this explains why in EX mode, maglor souls description mentions maglor as a "hollow shell" during that very last battle. just think about it for a moment.
And don't forget the other great final boss themes from other Kirby games My favorites between these are Moonstruck Blossom, the queen Sectonia one and phase 1 and 3 of Star Dream
(Magolor Soul) (Distorted scream) In darkness, conciousness confined I'm unaware of space and time Am I imprisoned in my mind? Is this the crown's true aim? I feel the calling of the void My body numb, my soul destroyed A puppet now, merely a toy Now nothing feels the same In my greed I lost what made me...me Once I was blind to sin But now I can see Is this power truly under my control, Or does it have me hung by strings? There's dark matter closing in around my soul Oh, what was the price I had paid just to be crowned a king? In hubris, I had wished to be Sole ruler of the galaxy I thought I'd make them bow to me Now I bow to the crown I thought the thing that I craved was power My lust has left my devoured You must stop me in the final hour Before the clock runs down I was a fool To think you a tool for my plan Now, hear my plea Stop me And return to Dream Land Where the breeze Of friendship blows across the world And the light of hope Brings love to every soul And if I make it out, I want you to know I am so very sorry I only hope You'll find some love in your heart To spare and forgive a fool like me
I love Kirby final boss music but I got one question for you! White Wafers Happy Hallway Aurora Area Time Twister Airplane Airway Raisin Ruins Egg Engines Tick Tock High Highlands Onion Ocean Scrambled Starway Enteral Eating ?
Kirby. The easist game series ever. With the best music. EVER. and also werid bosses. From bloody eyeballs(Zero and Zero Two), Creepy Souls(Drawica and Magolor), Wackos(Marx), Puffy Clouds with eyes(Kracko) and LIVING SPHERES(The Doomers) it is by far the second best Nintendo series, only beaten by Pokemon. I love Kirby. Rest my case.
don't forget about a living paint brush (Paintra), beings from mirrors (Dark Mind and Dark Meta Knight), a sombrero wearing yarn wizard (Yin-Yarn), a fat penguin with an electric hammer (Masked Dedede) and a Bee fused with a flower (Sectonia) one thing I find funny is that Kirby himself has a very simple design, yet most of his final bosses look like masterpieces of art
BUT... I did express sheer distress at the fight with him. I will never be disgraced like that ever again. Because... I have friends. Watch your nonexistent back, Magolor. Me and my fork-nosed friends will be back to destroy you. AHUE HUE HUE HUE HUE- [glitches]
I personally don't like that. I prefer when boss music has it's own identity entirely. I get annoyed when I start hearing the motif from another track most of the time.
I saw the title on the related videos side bar, and my monitor was narrow enough to split the title between two lines of text. The C and the R were cut off, so instead of "C-R-O-W-N-E-D," my eyes landed on "O-W-N-E-D."
***** No, because Nightmare is already an Assist Trophy. See what I did there...Cause he's nightmare fuel...and there's an Assist trophy...It's called Nightmare... I'll let myself out.
Pomocny11 its becoming something very similar in nature to Zero/Dark Matter, perhaps in Kirby's universe, negativity has a sort of effect that makes beings turn into things like this.
My simple reaction to this boss as a kid from Another Dimension to his final battle. Finally! Landia is gone and Magalor's home world is saved! Time to roll some awesome credi- oh, hey Magalor, what are you doing here? What, Magalor, no, NO, NOOOOO! YOU SON OF A SHRIMP! NO! GET OVER HERE! I WILL END YOU! *after defeating Magalor phase 1* Finally! He's gone! Wait... OH YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SHRIMPING ME!
Personally I believe both C-R-O-W-N-E-D and F-L-O-W-E-R are both amazing final boss themes but it is not only unfair but also wrong to compare the two. Each theme is meant to define that final boss and putting one over the other is based solely on preference and preference alone(when it comes to the internet people just don't understand that). Crowned represents a greed for power which ultimately corrupts those who seek it while Flower represents an obsession with beauty and those who become obsessed eventually get consumed by their obsession*SPOILER* that is seen in the fight against Sectonia when she ends up being defeated by a rainbow hypernova kirby. Kirby bosses are indeed strange yet they can represent the adversities that many face in the real world. Kirby: a consumer of nightmares to preserve the dreams
I find it amazing how this song has sections of two themes that are usually very bubbly and upbeat (Green Greens and Cookie Country) and manages to make them sound eerie and serious.
Cephadrome Perhaps it's because I have listened to CROWNED so much, but PROGRAM is a song I just keep coming back to listen to. I don't know why, something about it just feels so epic.
Interestingly enough, a lot of evidence shows that the Master Crown probably contained the soul of a Dark Matter and possessed Magolor. For one, in the game Kirby Dream Collection, Magolor is a lot nicer, and seems to regret what he did. Second, there's an eye in his mouth resembling a Dark Matter or even Zero, which is also reminiscent of King Dedede in Kirby's Dream Land 3, where when he was possessed he had an eye on his stomach. More evidence leaning toward possession is the fact that the claw scratches at Magalor's head and seemingly has a mind of its own. On an unrelated topic, in one quote, Magolor mentions that he knows someone who Kirby knows quite well, and also mentions "clockwork stars" that make dreams come true, showing he might know Marx. Magolor is definitely an interesting character.
Actually the person Kirby might know was said in extra mode. He was talking about Galacta Knight who was in the True Arena in KSSU. Well that's what I think -_-
Actually if you look closely, Magolor's red eye is not the same as 02's. Magolor here has a white sclera, red iris, and black pupil. 02 has a red sclera, black iris, and white pupil.
Now, I made a comment a year ago...kinda embarrassing. qnq Anyway, the best part of this song is the INSTRUMENTS. I can't stop headbopping to this. As a violin player, I need to learn how to play this song.
The scenery in this fight was BRUTAL, especially for a Wii game. How Magolor 2/Magolor Soul absolutely TEARS reality apart for like 80% of his attacks as you're fighting him in a mystical place in space with Popstar in the background really resonated with lil me who's never owned a higher gen console.
At this point I realize a possible metaphor that HAL is giving through the Soul bosses... Each of these bosses carry a distinctive trait (ie the red eye) from Dark Matter. Dark matter is an astronomical mystery. Its something you cannot see. If Dark Matter is evil, then what Kirby games are probably saying is: evil and darkness lingers for a long time, probably forever. It manifests itself in different forms, different people, and carries on racking up on victims. Each boss represents a form of evil nature (Magolor= lust for power, O2= revenge, etc.) What we have to realize is, that it is all around us, always there. Evil never stops. Society as we know it is dark and evil.
Kirby is that little spark of hope. A young warrior facing the evils of this universe. One could take it as a metaphor for entrusting hope in the younger generation...
If you think about it, this game was sort of a celebration for the Kirby series. So, naturally, they'd have to bring in a few iconic things from the most famous kirby games, like; - A fake final boss (Various, for Landia) - A traitor (Kirby Super Star, Magalor) - A sidescrolling shooting section (Kirby Super Star, Riding the Landia heads) - Dark matter (Various, Magalor's mouth-eye) - A Final Boss with two forms (Various, Magalor) Listen to this song. It's an orchestral remix of both the Kirby's Return to Dreamland and Green Greens (Nintendo have practicaly coined it as Kirby's main theme, or the "must-have" theme for any kirby game). They know that their giving everyone a nostalgic throwback, and they love it. XD
Magolor:HAHA I WILL DESTROY YOU! kirby:im way to young to deal with this fricken shoite just kill meh do it i dont carrre anymore im sooo tired i cant even eat cake without somethin comin out of nowhere destroyin stuff!!!! Magolor:Hey uh... you mind.... kirby:HEY SHUT UP YOU DONT KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO SAVE THE WORLD ALMOST 30 TIMES BOUT TO BE 31 AFTER IM DONE WITH YOU! magolor:eh... Kirby:I HAVE DEAL WITH DIS SHOITE EVERY FREAKING DAY IM DIEIN HERE I CANT EVEN SLEEP ANYMORE CUZ I HAVE TO SAVE THE GOD FORSAKEN WORLD Magolor:woah woah whoa...what do you mean by y- kirby:WHAT DO I MEAN I WILL TELL U WHAT I MEAN MEGALORE I MEAN I CANT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT SOMETHING GOING WRONG! magolor:its ...magolor... kirby:I WILL CALL YOU WHAT EVER I WANT TO CALL YOU anyways lets get this over with so i can lay down im feelin lightheaded... magolor:...
I don't cry. Didn't even flinch at the Titanic musame. This song has me biting my lip to withstand the tears. Especially with how much I know about this storyline... I like to study the Dark Matter stuff, and well, just look at Magolor Soul. DAT EYE.
King Dedede- Most nostalgic battles Meta/Galactic/Dark Knight: Franchise's equivalent of the right of passage into manhood Anything Dark Matter/Nightmare/02 related: *"tHIS IS N O T E FOR EVERYONE"* Marx: COOLEST battle Canvas/Rainbow Curse/Epic Yarn/Mass Attack: Most unique battles/mechanics The Squeak Squad: Franchise's equivalent of that one cool gang of older kids you really wanna join Magolor: Most beautifully composed Sectonia: Secretly imbedded deep themes about betrayal and madness ... Just imho
This music really captures the feel of what you're going up against. A corrupted god with the power and intent to destroy your home and you are the only one who can stop him. AND JESUS CHRIST DOES THE HYPE FLOW.
He tricked kirby and everyone else to fix his ship and beat the dragon so he could get the crown. Sounds pretty evil, Or at the very least selfish as all hell
I heard a theory that zero 2 got turned into a crown and now is using magolor as his puppet, that would explain why he didn't give up after the super ability segment, the description of magolor's soul saying "an empty shell overwhelmed by the master crown", and why there is a creepy third eye in his mouth. The eye in magolor's soul even ressembles zero 2's eye in kirby 64
***** I think he was power hungry, and he was completely in control while he was in his first phase. The flavor text for his phase 2 fight says he's nothing but an empty shell under the crown's control, so it's safe to say he was prooobably a bit more evil at that point. I like to think he was Dark Matter from the start, though. The fact that he concealed his mouth this whole time because it was actually a giant eye is just a really cool idea to play with...
Valorie Velasco Nope, Return to Dreamland takes place between Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2. Magolor becomes Zero, Another Dimension becomes Dark Star, and the Doomers under his influence become the Dark Matter.
I've seen so much kirby games until now, but i still think this was, and still is, the best kirby theme and boss that exists. Even.. If it was easy. Its the first boss that litterally uses you're super abilitys against you, being so.. Dark in appearance, and.. The another dimension part with the landia's were the greatest part i think.
C-R-O-W-N-E-D, though a good theme, is completely over rated. I can think of many themes that are better but are overshadowed by C-R-O-W-N-E-D's popularity, including: Dark Meta Knight's theme in TD, Sullied Grace, Masked DeDeDe in TD, Under My Control, Moonstruck Blossom, etc. Just so you know, Under My Control is Magolor's first form's theme. It's kinda suffering from the same thing Miracle Matter's theme did, what with the actual final boss' theme completely overshadowing it.
***** Yeah, but unfortunately, they made it bland, because they reused the type of thing in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but it made less sense, and C-R-O-W-N-E-D I think should've been a 1-hit wonder, not totally overused.
This track always says to me that you are fighting a being with unlimited power with very little chance to survive, if at all. If you lose, the universe is doomed. It also really seems to give off that feeling of "This is all your fault".
EK H. That's not how I feel with this. When I hear this song it's like *holy shit there's a fucking monster with unlimited power flying all over the place* but rather than the whole "this is your fault" thing, it's that the only way you can stop him from fucking destroying you is with sheer force of will, because no matter how tough it gets, you gotta keep going
I did not notice until now that this boss has a... Creepy child-like behaviour shown in some of its animations. For example when he starts to juggle random enemies and when using his knockoff Monster Flame It kinda looks like a kid happily playing with his toys... A kid who happens to be an Eldritch Abomination!
HAL: Bad music? Never heard of that word.
Day Dreaming Davey
HAL: Bad music? Sorry, this is not on my vocabulary ^_^
HAL is a Corperation in Robot Kirby XD is the evil badguys Who did not Realize that?!

what do you call a mix of a dentist and an eye doctor?

HYDESDM Not an Eye DenTOR?!
that works too
The mouth is ALWAYS an eye!
If a Final boss of Kirby does not have an eye or it's a circle, then it's not a Kirby Final boss

Yup I believe it's true
This is a pretty cool back story :)
But Kirby is a cold hearted bitch.
Jewel Life He saved the planet about 12 times.

Remember when this was the pinnacle of epic Kirby music along with Zero Two's theme? Now basically every kirby game since has had tracks be just as good or even surpass these. God Damn HAL, why are you so good at making amazing music?
To hell with your rap and hip-hop today, kids should start downloading these unto phones-Magolor will beat the shit out of Drake quite literally!
+Jared Eskridge I sort of agree with you. Maybe not all, using now should go to hell, but you are so right of music like this being underrated. I would LOVE to see an orchestra version of this song

I've still yet to hear a Kirby song as good as this.
Did anyone notice (other then the levels spelling out CROWNED) that the levels all have something in common?
COOKIE Country
RAISIN Ruins
ONION Ocean
White WAFERS
NUTTY Noon
EGG Engines
Dangerous DINNER
Well, Kirby was hungry in this game. He ate a lot of food. A lot.
true story.
when is Kirby not hungry?
Well, he DID kill innocent creatures for a piece of cake :p
xD
It actually happens in most of games (see Kirby: Nightmare in dreamland (GBA))
Did you seriously not notice this somehow? It's like his most dominate feature.

It is... I think.
i think it IS an eye. but if it really is an eye..... this boss might of got a whole lot darker.
You're not the only one
I only noticed now…
I listened while pooping, and I felt like I was deciding the fate of all that exists
Best comment to ever exist
Bro that's just something God would do by just pooping and listening to this
Why this theme wasn't selected for Smash Bros.... I have no idea.
Now they need Moonstruck Blossom, and it'll be complete!
There is some rumours of bandana waddle dee and a cookie country stage coming to ssb4 so u guess what that means
Aidan Miles I would love for Bandana Waddle Dee to be in Smash Bros, but I think the Smash Bros Ballot is the only hope for him. (HINT HINT VOTE NOT SO SUBTLE HINT.)

First, it was C-R-O-W-N-E-D
Then, F-L-O-W-E-R comes
If you add "Eternal Dreamland" it turns out F-L-O-W-E-R-E-D
And then came P-R-O-G-R-A-M.
Will Star Allies be F-R-I-E-N-D-S?

Also, this boss theme made me cry for two reasons.
A. When you put the first letters of every area in the game together, you get CROWNED.

How about magolor vs queen sectonia
Can't tell you that because I haven't completed Kirby Triple Deluxe (I don't even have a 3DS...). I listened to that final theme because my friend told me to.
FLOWER is from KTD, CROWNED is from KRTD.
Aine Hasumi

Thats actually something to think about SonicEarthchannal.
Yeah.... Too bad no one knows that the game displays you (Kirby) are defeating the final boss (Nightmare).
Its probably because of how many people that are making memes about kirby murdering innocent creatures
me: (shows this to a friend)
me: this is from a Kirby game
friend: no way, Kirby games only have bright and cheerful music. theres no way this is from a kirby game
me: (facepalm)
Own him in each dark plot!
+Aurora Jama show your friend 02, that theme is depressing as hell
+El todo poderoso Arceus don't forget zeros death animation
CAPTENTURTLE 1 Exactly
LOL
I just realized that is not a mouth, its an eye, it looks suspiciously like zero, and the crown reminds me of Nightmare's headdress
U can say there's still the influence of dark matter anywhere
Cannot unsee.
Also, Zero/Dark Matter is essentially the main antagonist of every Kirby game. He pretty much possesses every Kirby villain.
Pedro Henry not every, maybe 1/4, 1/3?
Gotta love them violins~
And violas, cellos, and basses.
Does anyone else notice that the light blueish aura in magolor soul looks like magolor trying to escape... or the fact that he says KIRRRRRRRBBBBBYYYY when he dies...
What do you mean light bluish aura? Like his round body or...?
Vëx the mist like thing in his body
LpsDreamer01 How does it look like Magalor? is there a certain shape to it or...? Cause when you actually play the game, the blue aura moves around. I don't exactly understand what you're saying. Could you please describe what you mean, like where exactly on the body it is, what the shape looks like, ect. I'm really curious and want to know now!
Vëx In the center of magolor soul. I'm saying that in this certain picture it looks like Magolor to me. I guess people look at it differently...
I see it!
1:47 Everyone’s favorite part
Green Greens leitmotif go brrr
Jose Villalobos I'm just imagining marx in a superman cape
kirby dude is awesome Way to make the final boss of SSU's Arena not scary. ^_^
+Jose Villalobos (Tree Ninja) Lol all the time I thought Marx's cape were his wings.
Cretium They are wings, I think he's just confused.
This Final Boss Theme fits it's surroundings like Peanut Butter and Jelly
Color Palette, the Popstar Portal, always-moving ground, the water ripples from the island in the middle, the ascending stars from the horizon in the background, the ground being literal fire that doesn't hurt you (that's some very good movie or book shit) and Magolor Soul himself fit right into this interdimensional battlefield with its own laws of physics (Another Dimension shenanigans)
This is literally the perfect boss in all of Video Game History and the Music is a big reinforcing factor, because it sounds so out of the world (you are literally out of the world)
My favorite Kirby track, it gives u the feeling that the fate of the universe is in your hands and you're fighting one if the strongest beings in existence. Not to mention it has a very epic and hopeless feel to it and the fact that its orchestrated makes it 10x better already.
What is it with kirby and final bosses seriously it's like the people who make these games get tired of the the cutesy kirby and throw any dark, depressing, or morbid thing they can think of at the final boss.
just think of what Kirby does to get power. It's the darkest thing ever imagined
they're meant to embody nightmares, so yea
That's just kinda what the Kirby series does, man.
And after the impact Zero left on us as the first creepy final boss, it makes sense they would continue the tradition.
*****
An interesting theory.
Kirby lives in DREAMland so it only makes sense that his enemies are NIGHTMARES doesn't it?
the perfect scenario for this theme: you have the most powerful weapon you ever seen, you fight your greatest rival who has an equal amount of power, your on a collision course for the sun, this music plays in the background.

Imagine if he becomes a full-grown adult.
maybe he will 2 hit ko them
yoyoyo151000 That will take 300 years
yoyoyo151000 Kirby actually is not a baby, just so you know.
EnderQuartzMC In the cartoon it is said he is a baby
The Original Super Saiyan FYI: I believe the cartoon is not canon.
Clean your ears dislikers cause this song is gold.
This theme is probably one of the, if not, THE BEST Nintendo song, a perfect mix of orchestra and nostalgia for die-hard Kirby fans. PURE. BADASS.
Suppose that Magolor Soul is not using his two white eyes up top. He may look like he's smiling, but if the eye in his mouth is the eye he's really using...
It looks SUPER pissed.
For instance, put your finger over the two white eyes, then see what his expression REALLY looks like.
Wow, I never actually noticed that.
Thanks, dude.
Rather than wearing a crown, he's bound to a crown with wings and claws.
I love this theme because it mixes Nightmares theme, the Lor Starcutter's interior theme, and the Crystal Field theme from KSSU.

No puns, I already had to deal with a chain of 302 puns on 0²'s theme.

Dokinchan Hey! Did you not see what Kirby Master just said? This isn't just a 0 pun zone. _This is a 0² pun zone!_
Uh, not again.
What is very clear is that you're no longer fighting Magolor by the time it has progressed to this point.
Nice theory, However i must disagree. The crown is just an artifact of ancient evil.

I love the fact that almost every kirby final boss has an eye motif to them.

I ******* love this song and magolor
(Magolor Soul)
(Distorted scream)
In darkness, conciousness confined
I'm unaware of space and time
Am I imprisoned in my mind?
Is this the crown's true aim?
I feel the calling of the void
My body numb, my soul destroyed
A puppet now, merely a toy
Now nothing feels the same
In my greed
I lost what made me...me
Once I was blind to sin
But now I can see
Is this power truly under my control,
Or does it have me hung by strings?
There's dark matter closing in around my soul
Oh, what was the price
I had paid just to be crowned a king?
In hubris, I had wished to be
Sole ruler of the galaxy
I thought I'd make them bow to me
Now I bow to the crown
I thought the thing that I craved was power
My lust has left my devoured
You must stop me in the final hour
Before the clock runs down
I was a fool
To think you a tool for my plan
Now, hear my plea
Stop me
And return to Dream Land
Where the breeze
Of friendship blows across the world
And the light of hope
Brings love to every soul
And if I make it out, I want you to know
I am so very sorry
I only hope
You'll find some love in your heart
To spare and forgive a fool like me

Kirby is one of few series that have no bad games. And that's amazing considering how old the series is!
1:08 that beat sounds epic. Just...just epic....
Rest my case.
don't forget about a living paint brush (Paintra), beings from mirrors (Dark Mind and Dark Meta Knight), a sombrero wearing yarn wizard (Yin-Yarn), a fat penguin with an electric hammer (Masked Dedede) and a Bee fused with a flower (Sectonia)

I personally don't like that. I prefer when boss music has it's own identity entirely. I get annoyed when I start hearing the motif from another track most of the time.
I saw the title on the related videos side bar, and my monitor was narrow enough to split the title between two lines of text. The C and the R were cut off, so instead of "C-R-O-W-N-E-D," my eyes landed on "O-W-N-E-D."

shadow98004 MAGALOR SOUL IS NOT DARK MATTER IDIOTS!

C-R-O-W-N-E-D and F-L-O-W-E-R are both amazing final boss themes but it is not only unfair but also wrong to compare the two.
After 6 years I still love this game
I find it amazing how this song has sections of two themes that are usually very bubbly and upbeat (Green Greens and Cookie Country) and manages to make them sound eerie and serious.
Friend: PROGRAM is better than this, hehe. What are you doing with that Knife?
Wrestling for a knife with Shia LaBeouf!
Cephadrome Perhaps it's because I have listened to CROWNED so much, but PROGRAM is a song I just keep coming back to listen to. I don't know why, something about it just feels so epic.
That's because battling a giant cyborg-cat with God powers with a pink battleship is too epic for a boring song

Oh, ok, it's really cool
Never played this game but man is the final boss theme awesome.
GET OUT PLAY THE GAME AND THEN AND ONLY THEN MAY YOU RETURN
I come here almost every Day to listen to this masterpiece
Man, that beginning of the song reminds me why i love the kirby series.
Well that's what I think -_-
I suppose it could really be anyone. After all, he never mentions anyone specifically.
Actually if you look closely, Magolor's red eye is not the same as 02's.
Magolor here has a white sclera, red iris, and black pupil.
02 has a red sclera, black iris, and white pupil.
Oh, wow... I never noticed because I owned him. Lol
*puts this in my favorite tunes playlist*
Considering he's a fucking baby...that theory does hold water
it kinda looks like he has marx's cape and the hands of the nightmare
This is one of my favorite final boss themes ever.
This is now on my list of favorite Final Boss themes, alongside Ballos and Master Core.
If you think about it, this game was sort of a celebration for the Kirby series.
So, naturally, they'd have to bring in a few iconic things from the most famous kirby games, like;
- A fake final boss (Various, for Landia)
- A traitor (Kirby Super Star, Magalor)
- A sidescrolling shooting section (Kirby Super Star, Riding the Landia heads)
- Dark matter (Various, Magalor's mouth-eye)
- A Final Boss with two forms (Various, Magalor)
Listen to this song. It's an orchestral remix of both the Kirby's Return to Dreamland and Green Greens (Nintendo have practicaly coined it as Kirby's main theme, or the "must-have" theme for any kirby game).
They know that their giving everyone a nostalgic throwback, and they love it. XD

I am now obsessed with this song
you have frightened me forever
Magolor was never evil it was the crown that turned him evil
#Magolorbejealous.
CROWNED > FLOWER. Shots have been fired.
ShadowKnight394 Yes, but I was too lazy to type all that XD
thebeefjerkyninja I think a few wars were started this way
C-R-O-W-N-E-D, though a good theme, is completely over rated.
Come to think of it, I like this as much as Under My Control

***** Yeah, but unfortunately, they made it bland, because they reused the type of thing in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but it made less sense, and C-R-O-W-N-E-D I think should've been a 1-hit wonder, not totally overused.
EnderQuartzMC 1 idea x 2 = overused. Alright now.
Omicron Alpha Yes, because they were in subsequent games.
I was playing this game in the same month you uploaded this video!
I did not notice until now that this boss has a... Creepy child-like behaviour shown in some of its animations.
For example when he starts to juggle random enemies and when using his knockoff Monster Flame
It kinda looks like a kid happily playing with his toys... A kid who happens to be an Eldritch Abomination!
