Dan, I really enjoyed your take on the value that introverts bring to society. They can definitely be more thoughtful, introspective and it's so important to listen to themselves and be more aware and protective of their energies and feelings. Great video, thank you. On the introvert extrovert spectrum I'm definitely on the extreme introvert end. I had a career as a political media advisor, so would often spend many hours a day on the phone and in group settings, very often spontaneous having no time to prep beforehand. At the end of the week I would be physically and mentally exhausted and my personal life suffered because all I wanted to do was be alone, so I'd turn down any invitation to be social to the point where the invites simply stopped. The process of learning to be ok with needing down time and actually communicating to colleagues my introvert need for quiet time has been a slow one and continues to this day, but I'm much happier for it. Videos like this are great because I'm able to share them with people to help them understand. Thank you.
I suffer a lot of blowback from family and friends for not being as engaged or committed to fellowship - and they automatically assume that my preference to remain alone equates to my not being interested in them, or not caring. It's weird, but soothing to know I'm not alone in this dynamic. Thanks for sharing this man. 🔥
I know exactly what you mean, man! Once I switched to communicating about my tendencies more, I found that people were usually pretty understanding - it had just never occurred to them that I didn't mean to seem aloof. I'm glad that at the very least I could help you feel less alone in this regard. 👊 That's part of why I even made this video to begin with!
Just found and subscribed to your channel. In the process of moving from Nikon to a Sony A7IV and looking for videos to understand the intricacies of Sony gear. This video is a homerun and so helpful. Yesterday, I bought a t-shirt that says" Introverted, but willing to talk about cameras". Really appreciate the thoughtful content you are creating.
