    Hey man! Awesome video! I plan on putting some leds as well but way down in the future when I strip the interior to do a restoration, and mount a 6 switch panel to control everything! Awesome content coming! Stay tuned!

      Most everything I am doing here is new to me. I make loads of mistakes and most of the build is a bit rudimentary, however, that I am doing the best of my ability. I certainly hope so 🙏

    smart using that converter. i've played around with krud kutter, it turns black too, very similar to what you have, it seems to actually work!

    Your videos are super inspiring, I'm wanting to record a how to front end swap for the astro for sealed beams because info is so small online for the process.

    you might shove some plastic card above the bows under the insulation so the drill bit doesn't catch, if that's even possible

    I have those types of lights and you can adjust their brightness on the remote, If you have already tried that I apologize, just figured I would offer up that little bit I know from using them.

      I tried to ajdust the brightness, but they must be a cheaper brand. Ill hopefully have a better brand installed before the interior is fiished

    Have mine torn apart now...As I have to run wires and stain everything now...And I went with Varathane Premium Fast Dry stain..No need to do anything else to the wood...

    • @ImChrisDeDecker
      @ImChrisDeDecker  Před 2 lety

      Will you be applying poly to prevent the wood form going bad?

    • @WizzRacing
      @WizzRacing Před 2 lety

      @@ImChrisDeDecker I used Cedar on the Roof and Side panels...No need to stain them. As they will outlast me.
      And the only reason to Polyurethane wood. Is if you cook inside. As you get grease build up on everything...So I don't cook inside. Why I have my van apart now. That stuff got on everything...

    Did you use rivnuts to save vertical interior space? I'm thinking about doing the same thing instead of mounting 1" strips to the ribs then mounting the ceiling boards to those. Did you have any issue with the rivnuts spinning? Would you do it this way again? Did you do 2 per board or 3?
    Cheers mate love the videos.

    • @ImChrisDeDecker
      @ImChrisDeDecker  Před 2 lety

      That’s the exact reason why, I wanted to save as much space as possible. I even used a few on the passenger wall.
      No issues, but I had a few rive bits I had to drill out and re-install because the threads were stripped due to me trying to force the bolt in.
      And, I only used 2 per board but three wouldn’t hurt.
      Yes, I would do it this way again!
      Thank you Alex!

    What size rivet nuts did you use? And are those wood screws or machine screws going into them through the tongue and grooves?

    • @ImChrisDeDecker
      @ImChrisDeDecker  Před 2 lety

      I used M6 and they are machin screws to match up with the M6 rivets.
