BIG SNAPPER Off The Rocks | Coromandel

  • In this video we target Big Winter Snapper from the rocks. On day 1 we catch a few good eaters but ultimately strike out when we lose the biggest fish of the day. It's a funny and unique part of fishing that when you fail it creates a tension that can only be cured by trying again and again until you succeed. Awesome adventure chasing the elusive 20 pounder from the rocks.

    True kiwi legend mate ahah my old man used to take us out to a spot in the far north like that on low and have to swim back at night 😅i remember from a young fulla on his shoulders to making the swim myself after cple years some amazing fish caught there and still to this day

    Brilliant footage bro, I have lived here for 25 years, took some of my kiwi mates fishing off the rocks using 10 kilo buckets for floating with all the gear inside, they thought I was mad, if you don’t try ya never know, I have caught good snapper to 18 lbs going for a short swim, see on the rocks next time

    Remember its OK to cut the tail off to get them in the bin as long as they are still more than 30 afterwards :)
