- Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump said on February 10, 2024, he would encourage Russia to “do whatever the hell they want” if it attacked a NATO country that didn’t pay enough for defense.
He was talking about negotiations in the past that ended up resulting in NATO being funded more because of him... pre-invasion.
He literally warned them about NATO countries needing to pay in their fair share due to Russia and they laughed at him.
The meeting is on record for everyone to watch
Trump made Nato stronger but it must be spun the other way because of the derangement syndrome
Asking western European nations 'nicely' to pay their share into the alliance doesn't work. Threatening them however works as shown by the rise of defense spending % GDP from 2017-2020.
NATO countries need to pay their share. What's the issue?
I guess they have attention spans of gnats and don't remember NATO literally going on national T.V. and saying Trump was right that member nations wasn't paying their fair share and then many member nations vowing to step up their funding as they was in fact deliberately delinquent on such.
The propaganda floating around has been out of control for many years but damn if it's not completely insane during election runs now... ugg.. can't even find any legit news anywhere anymore so I can see why folks all the way over in Ukraine fall prey to it tbh (unfortunately).
He warned ALL NATO countries that they ALL need to pay their share.
He was just talking crap. Everybody's paying. Some of us less, some of us more. As a fact, there are quite a few contracts going on for US F16 and F35 jets from various countries for hundreds of millions maybe even billions of dollars. So I'm not sure what the hell is Trump talking about ...
US patriots should really pay very close attention to the meaning of Trump's words...
@@alfredzig2035 You don't know what he is talking about because they twisted his words to produce a false narrative - it's propaganda.
He is speaking in the past tense of when he was President negotiating with NATO... not the future...
The time he is talking about in his speech was years ago and NATO leaders literally went on national T.V. and said Trump was right that they wasn't paying enough into NATO and then vowed - made a deal to do more....
The whole deal was literally recorded - multiple video's (go find them as it won't let me post here for you unfortunately).
There is no a little more or less also..... everyone is to pay a percentage of their GDP which MANY wasn't.
I'm confused as to what companies like Lockheed Martin (or anyone for that matter) selling jets have anything to do with how NATO is required to acquire funding....
"Trump's words" was correct in this case and secured billions more "doll hairs" for NATO prior to Putin's full scale invasion.
Trump (again on video) warned them about Russia and they thought it was funny ffs...
He also called out Germany's leadership for boosting Putin by giving Russia billions... all within in the same meetings
Careful with the propaganda floating around man, elections are here and it's everywhere.
✌
I think he makes up these ''conversations''.
Jezuz, I thought the British government were embarrassing, poor US has got 2 fellas with dimensia fighting to be president, Biden can't remember what decade he is in and Trump wants to rule the world his way and be friends with Putin 😅😅
