Jennifer Lopez was allegedly so mad at this episode that she would fire people from her music/movie sets if they even made a small reference to this episode
Right!
that only makes this episode even better! 😂
Lol yep and I still find it hilarious.
Also she never ate tacos or burritos again, her favorite food until this episode
@@solmoman no more bean breath
I was a Las Vegas strip Bartender for 18 years at 5 star hotels. One night, J-Lo came in our high limit room. She was flanked by her bodyguards and a few paparazzi. Out of nowhere, some drunk kid yelled out at the top of his lungs; “TACO FLAVORED KEEEESES FOR MY BEN!!” (In the accent too) she turned around and was PISSED !! Her bodyguard told him to shut the f up, some people didn’t get it, but I and a lot of people did. I ran into our back room to piss myself laughing
thats a great story
whoever that was, i hope they get an award
Ok that person is a legend and has balls of steel to do that! X,D
I hope that’s real
As a Mexican American, I can confirm that we do in fact love tacos, burritos, tostadas and a soda pop
@@EagleFang86not THAT Jennifer
Not Mexican, Meheecan
Everyone does! Yummy.
As a non mexican person, I too love Tacos, burritos, tostadas, as well.
She don’t come from no Mexico she’s Puertah Wrcan
One of the reasons Matt and Trey didn't like her was because they supposedly at the same hollywood party once and while they were having a conversation, Lopez apparently walked in between them and pushed them out of the way without saying excuse me or any word at all, so they took the piss out of her xD
If I remember right she did that because when the creators were high on acid at the Oscars one of them wore a dress she did a previous year, so I guess that she was already very petty because of that
@@ShadowJCreed Lol wow never heard that part, but yeah, that is still petty.
@ShadowJCreed both Matt and Trey wore her dresses...there's full of pictures about them in those 2 dresses
Maybe someday JLO will understand what the Streisand Effect is
@@Quandary100 Just Trey, Matt wore a Gwyneth Paltrow dress :)
“I’d have written you a song or a poem but I have no talent.” 🤣
South Park doesn’t pull it’s punches 😂
When you were like “I knew they would do something bad” when Ben Afleck kissed Cartmans hand, I was laughing inside thinking “he has no idea how bad it’s gonna get in a few seconds” lol.
The South Park movie absolutely crushes on making catchy songs.
Greatest musical of all-time.
@@boredXsomethingXIDK Period. For what it wanted to be, it was perfect.
sometimes La Resistance makes me cry
Can't forget s16e05 Butterballs for my all time fav SP song
Mr Mackey's song about not swearing was Grammy worthy. "Step 1 instead of 'ass' say 'buns'..."
This is a classic episode that came out 20 years ago. Jennifer Lopez actually fired her staff after she found out that they were joking about this behind her back. She doesn't like this episode at all.
Is there any Hollywood actor who hasn't been ridiculed in South Park?
No wait, yes I know, it's Keanu Reeves, That man has been mentioned in South Park, I mean that episode in which Kenny almost dies but he is kept alive by a device and he is in a vegetative state, and there is the debate about leaving it like this or just killed Kenny.
In that episode they make reference to Keanu Reeves, and not in an insulting way, I think he is the exception to the rule, the only actor referenced in South Park who is not insulted.
@@skarmeta77 Not to mention most of the celebrities who were mocked liked their portrayals. Streisand, Cruise and J.Lo were among the exceptions.
I always enjoy how fast you get the random references they put in each episode.
Agreed. I'm old (middle age) and have seen all the references he stated. I imagine Dash is a huge consumer of visual media. The "In Laws" movie came out in the early 80s and pandered to middle aged people then. He must be a real film and T.V. buff.
There were many I didn't know. First reactor I've seen that actually showed me something new about the piece.
For real im learning a few more every reaction lol. Had no clue cartman's J-lo was inspired by that puppeteer.
To be fair, these kinds of things - at least many of them - can be looked up on the Internet. It's not like this is a live show - I mean the screen captures etc. have to be edited into these videos. Having said that, I really, really appreciate that he includes them in his videos.
same, im also surprised he actually remembered the tiny "Mitch Connor" line from the later episode lol
the death of Mitch Connor always cracks me up haha
"Hm. Looks like the sun is going down... I wonder... will I dream?"
"Hola, bitchola!" is still in my vocabulary to this day.
Taco flavored kisses😂😂 it took me years to get that song out of my head and you just put it back in thank you
I watched the episode half a year ago... So it will take years.
The Broadway brodown songs get stuck in mine.
Apparently some workers on set back when this episode came out got in trouble for singing the taco burrito song behind Jennifer’s back 😂😂😂😂
Your reaction to Cartman's "handiwork" was priceless 🤣
“Handiwork??” Hahahaha!! 🤣 🤣 🤣
Too freakin’ funny!
I like how he didn't even notice at first 🤣
I'm glad you noticed the references to Señor Wences. Most people don't. I saw him on the muppet show. He is a classic example of a talented ventriloquist.
Ben affleck has only made a few appearances but he’s character is hilarious every time😂
Yah like the episode with the people who have butts for faces
@@Delightfulshallot yeah I think it’s only that episode this episode and maybe he appeared in 200 & 201 but I can’t remember
They made this episode after J-Lo pushed them out of the way at some Hollywood party. And then ate tacos. 😂
“Freeze leafblower!”
“You’re going downtown bean breath!”
“Shut up picanté pants!”
Those lines get me every time lmao.
Oh yes this episode is one of my moms favorite. The amount of time she just randomly starts singing "Taco Taco Burrito Burrito Taco Taco " is great lmao. But if you want a good episode to watch is season 4 episode 7 Chef goes Nanners. It's a great episodes with one of southparks best lessons that they teach ya throughout the show. Edit 9:07 That scream was F- ing Hilarious 😂
is she latina too?
@@user-co1gi7yd2r nope a crazy redhead
South Park loves to pick on Ben Affleck and I am here for it (they did another episode where his “parents” had butts where their heads should be) 😂😂
Ben Azzfleck 🤣
They made fun of him in one of the Team America songs too lol.
Both Trey and Matt are pretty good musicians, so they probably have a good feel for how to write a catchy tune. Trey even managed to get into the Berklee College of Music, which is right up there with the Juilliard School.
Not only are they good musicians but they also are huge fans of musicals, which helped a lot when they made Book of Mormon.
If you guys haven't seen their recent live concert here on CZcams, you're missing out.
I always forget about that aspect of them, make sense since they always kill with whatever song they come up with
Kyle once thought he had to go to Juilliard (Jewleeard) to do right by his grandmother.
Mitch Connor (the alter ego of Cartman's left hand) became an occasional recurring villain. In the second computer game Mitch Connor is the main villain (and Cartman keeps trying to pretend it's not just him while Kyle keeps calling him out on it).
Did you watch PewDiePie's playthrough? He was actually getting annoyed at the trollery of the Mitch Connor plot at the end. Watch clips of it, it's hilarious
Spoilers dude
Nobody ever talks about Cartman saying the Latin community has been very “Influenzal”😂
Well, J-Lo has that reputation of being a narcissistic diva… so, it’s not an unfair portrayal 😅
Now imagine a middle school full of kids singing Taco Flavored Kisses every day for like a week…..that was my school experience lol. South Park was biiig when I was a kid even though we had absolutely no business watching this depraved show at that age lmao. This has been my favorite episode ever since and I’m 32 now lol.
I remember South Park being the one show I was forbidden to watch as a kid. But somehow found ways of watching it regardless of what my mom told me lol 😂. I'm 36 now and still enjoy the show just as much as I did then. Unfortunately I can't watch it as readily anymore because I don't have DirecTV anymore (got too expensive). So I haven't watched season 24 & up yet.
@@TheMeloettaful I think the episodes are free on their website
I remember at that age when Simpsons "Eat My Shorts" t-shirts were banned from some schools for profanity.
Bro, how the hell do you know all these references?! I had no idea the ventriloquist gag was a parody. Awesome dude 💪
It is really easy to forget Trey and Matt are trained songwriters
Man, thank u 4 break down all the references. As a spanish I never would be able to get all that stuff without your reactions. And I think South Park is the best show ever, so I really appreciate what u doing.
No, J-Lo was not happy with South Park. She has even been known to fire people if she catches them singing "Taco Flavored Kisses". Ben on the other hand just thought it was dumb and decided to ignore it for the most part. You should also check out another episode involving Ben: "How to Eat with Your Butt" Season 5 Episode 10. It is NOT the episode you are thinking of, it is much older.
I'm latino and this episode is too funny and taco flavored kisses is jlo best song.
The funny thing I just thought of is my dad not only worked on South Park, he works on it currently and did the first couple seasons and the movie, but he ALSO did Gigli 😂
It is insanely impressive
Is your dad Butters?
Curious just who is your dad? Sorry just wanted to confirm.
Pretty cool dude
He works on it currently and did the first couple seasons? What did he do in between?
That’s the power of South Park it’s offensive and full of stereotypes but you love it anyways
South Park is so stupid at times that makes it genius. It's just so absurd it is incredible, especially those who can understand satire, love how you include so many reference points
His face, when the "Hand Lopez" comes out, is so good! Haha
You're the best reactor on youtube imo, the amount of effort you put into the edits the positive vibes you give out is unparalleled
And to believe Ben & Jen got married last year...
Taco taco buritto buritto.
That reaction when Cartmen's hand goes "down" lmao😂
You really have a vast knowledge of references - I had no idea there were two separate references in this episode. Great reaction as always. As a few other commenters have said, that "teacher" is Mr. Slave, who first appears in the episode "The Death Camp of Tolerance." Highly recommend you react to that one!
Besides that season 26 premieres tonight in the states. The episode is called Cupid Ye so they will probably be talking about Kanye, might be very interesting to see too!
That fucking gay fish...
I saw they were premiering pretty soon, but I won't be able to watch it because I have no streaming services (can't afford it). Nor do I have DirecTV anymore (got too expensive). So I'll have to wait for when they release on Blu ray/DVD eventually to watch the later seasons 😩.
I never knew all the references to the old shows/movies. see dash puts in the work.
"Hola Bitchola!" Lmao I used to say that so often when I first saw this🤣
Edit: Omg, how have I never noticed the police said all those racist insults😂
There's a radio show (The Men's Room) in which a standard greeting for them to the audience and phone callers is "hola bitchola"
I'm not actually sure if that's still a show or not, haven't heard it in a few years but I used to listen to it on my drive home from work all the time when I had a morning job.
I'm still amazed at how deep you dig to find those cutaways that mirror the actual show that you're reviewing.
Wow, "The Inlaws"... you're too young to know that movie.
I'm never disappointed when your reaction videos pop up in my notifications.
Bro I did not know that that whole hand puppet thing was an actual thing...im fucking dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is one of the most purely hilarious episodes the show has ever made. From the beginning to the end, just non-stop laughs.
One of the best episodes! To this day me and my best friend still greet each other with "Taco taco!"
I love how Cartman made his hand call Kyle handsome, there is another episode where Cartman calls him a “beautiful Jew” or something in German while rubbing kyles stomach. 🤣
This episode is crazy😂😂😂
9:25 - 9:41
I came into this video for this exact reaction from Dash... I was not disappointed! 🤣
Jen talking with her mouth full gets me every time 😂
Dash, you need to watch every episode of Season 7.
Season 7 is pure comedy gold. I seriously think it is one of their best seasons. Every episode in the season is so much fun.
“Freeze leaf blower” “shut up picante pants” and “you’re going downtown bean breath” are all wild 😂
Your horrified look at the funniest moment of the episode says it all lmao.
I’m always surprised by how good their songs are. And I honestly don’t know why it keeps surprising me, cuz they won Tonys for their broadway musical and were nominated for an Oscar for Best Song from the South Park movie. Plus Team America: World Police is full of great little songs. They’re genuinely talented at it.
The lengths Cartman will go to mess with people.
Mitch Conner comes back in some episodes and is the villain of a game.
The man with Mr Garrison was Mr. Slave, the teacher's assistant.... That's a pretty good episode too.
You'd have to live under a rock to not know how Jennifer Lopez reacted, in her recent documentary she acknowledged it that it hurt her, and she was already frustrated when one of the co-creators Parker wore a replica of her famous green Versace gown to the 2000 Oscars. Other celebrities, like Paris Hilton, (who was quite brutalized) took it in stride understanding the genre better.
This episode is absolutely hilarious. One of my favorites.
She has fired people for singing taco flavored kisses on set 😭😭
that proves that SP displayed her as the a hole she truely is
She tries to sue Matt and Trey, they found out what she was going to be wearing to the Oscars and showed up wearing the exact same dress as her 😂
When the cop says "FREEZE, LEAF BLOWER", totally underrated racist joke in the episode.
Curious fact is that Ben Affleck appeared in an earlier episode in Season 5 Episode 10, where he had his real face. He appears at the end of the episode as the son of a couple who have butts as faces.
3 tacos 2 tostadas and a soda pop
tacooooos, oh tacos so good in my tummy-ummy yummy gimme more
i used to cry laughing at these songs as a kid
Just found your channel a few days ago, been binge watching. I appreciate you adding context to the scenes. I never knew most of the references south park used until now. Thanks!
thank you for providing references lol because i didnt know about that movie doing what cartman did lol
and from what i heard, i think some people on the set of a J-Lo movie started saying Taco taco around her and she got them fired LOL
totally worth it
I love that you put in all the little clips for the references, there's so many that I've just completely missed while watching the show
This is one of those relatively obscure South Park gems with a lot of neat little twists in it. I don't know if it makes any magazine's Top 10 South Park Episodes List but it's one of my favorites.
I totally forgot about the 2010 reference and that was one of my favorite movies as a kid :) Thanks for that.
YES!!!! This episode is LEGENDARY. S-tier.
Thanks for those old clips, I've never seen them and didn't know they were the inspiration!
I love your reaction to hearing Eric name in the beginning 😂😂😂😂😂
The season 26 premier tonight “Cupid Ye” was hilarious, new Kanye episode 😂
I love how the cops had some fresh racist terms for Latin Americans. Leaf blower, bean breath, picante pants. Hilarious! 😂
You have to respect the lengths Cartman will go to for a simple joke.
Didn't know Evian and Pellegrino are the fancy waters in the US as well. I thought they were more a Euro thing. Especially considering how ridiculous it is to ship them over the Atlantic while there are plenty of good water sources on the American continent, too ....
Another South park classic, loved this episode.
You definitely need to check episode 6x14 “The death of the camp of tolerance”. It’s the first appearance of Mr. Slave. BTW, your reactions are the best!
"Fantastic Easter Special" is also great episode!
Such a classic episode
Dude, your reference catching abilities are next level. Nothing escapes your steel trap of a mind.
I remember the first time I saw this episode. I was on my knees, laughing my ass off! 🤣🤣🤣
How does he even find these edits. A++ reaction as always
I'm usually pretty decent at catching the references, but Dash Reacts is on a whole other level!
I had no idea about the Ed Sullivan thing.
In another episode (the one with the butt heads) they showed Ben Affleck with his real face.
I'm so happy you watched this one. One of my favs. Mystery of the urinal deuce next please!!
Dash, we lost it at the same time when Ben made out with cartman's had... it was the tongue that about killed me!
5:55
That's Mr Slave, Garrisons replacement for Mr Hat. If you want his introduction then you should watch the season 6 episode 'the death of camp tolerance'
Actually, I think Jennifer Lopez was born and raised in the Bronx😊
The first scene shows how many Latinos/Hispanics feel about jokes as long as they’re funny. We don’t care about racist jokes, it’s all about the intention.
5:57 if u want the answer, his first appearance in in the episode "The Death Camp of Tolerance." You'll figure it out very quickly. Watch it, it will shock you. In retrospect, maybe not.
Well Matt and Trey did win 8 Tony's for their musical, so yeah, the definitely can wright some great catchy songs
Oh yeah this episode is WILD. I'm glad you react to this episode.
Perfect word to describe it, Rip! WILD
5:55 Mr. Slave's first appearance in South Park is "The Death Camp of Tolerance".
1:30 Fun fact: Mexican tacos use flour tortillas. Crispy corn shells were invented by an immigrant just for the American market.
And Jennifer had already been bothered by the South Park guys riffing on her before. She once wore this dress at an event that had a neckline plunging nearly to her waist - showed off a fair bit of skin and boobs, let's say. ...So it became a meme (as much as things could in '99) and Trey Parker wore a replica of it at the Oscars that year. She...Did not enjoy this episode. Apparently she'd fire people on her movie sets 'cause they kept incessantly singing 'Taco-Flavored Kisses' at her...Which is fair enough, honestly. (Google 'Jlo jungle dress' and 'Trey Parker jungle dress')
They wanted to go in drag, but the organizers were being tick let's about the dress code. So these diabolical geniuses got two actual dresses used in previous years, granting them de facto permission to wear them on discrimination grounds.
The managed to not only troll Lopez but the entire events organizers themselves at the same time. Also they were high af on acid and you can TOTALLY tell in all the pictures, their pupils are the size of dinner plates and they keep making weird astonished faces lol.
“Moooomm Ben Aflecks naked in my bed” 😂
1:15 - 1:22 The look you get when you try not to laugh, fail, then admonish yourself internally.
Dash I just wanted to say I like how you show where the creators got their influences from. Thank you for doing that 👍🏽🙏🏽 Love that about your videos.
Since you like the music. The South Park Movie is a must see. It was even nominated for the Oscar in "Best Song" 2000. Sadly they lost to Phil Collins. And Robin Williams actually performed the song during the Oscars.
"Hm. Looks like the sun is going down... I wonder... will I dream?"
"Ooh god damn, Kyles' Eric immpresschan..."
Dr says that Cartman appears to be totally insane.
You think 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining is one of my personal favorites
