    When its mined its usually not pure but i get your point. If you watch some gold mining shows or anything youll see its often around 22k mixed with other minerals naturally.

    So cool to watch the process! Is there a protective coating that's good for Rose Gold Jewelry?

    What fumes come off while plating? Also is your 1min timing in solution for everything or for just covering the yellow gold to give it a thicker coat? Will the rhodium solution concentration and time differ between voltage and concentration of the of solution.

    I read years ago of a jewerler that used Rhodium in his jewelry. Not plated, but made with Rhodium. I can only assume that this information has been scrubbed from the internet, as I can't find it anymore..I would love any information on this that anyone may have. thank you.

    At 1:10 in the video you mentioned that all gold mined from the earth is 24kt. Actually very very small amount is 24kt. Most is 16kt to 22kt. Georgia has the purest in the states that comes in around 23kt.

      @@HRM.H 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no. The commentator mentions that gold mined from the earth is 24k which is entirely false. It is extremely rare to mine 24k gold. Almost impossible. It will always have other elements such as copper, silver. The refining process can remove the other elements of course. As mentioned above, most mined gold is between 16 to 22 kt.

    • @DempseysJewelersLLC
      @DempseysJewelersLLC  Před 3 lety +1

      We just polish it off. If the ring has small recesses, we will have to use small hand tools to polish it out, but it can be done without too much trouble.

    I feel like the ventilation machine is not enough, I'd wear a mask too for extra layer of protection. Looks dangerous with all those chemicals you have to work with
