Naranasan ko yan for 2yrs. Dito sa US pero na realized ko dahil ang ate ko nagkasakit siya MAs mahal dito surgery kahit may insurance. Kaya now isa nlng work ko at gumawa ako ng crafting sa bahay as a hobby. Because true talaga health is wealth. At super pagod talaga ako noon at nag umpisa na akong madepress, dami dito nag sisi sila sa health Nila dahil work work tapos di rin na enjoy Ang life dahil nagkasakit.
I’m a healthcare worker, I just quit my hospital job here in the U.S., pay is good but kayod-kalabaw until nag start na akong ma depress, I wasn’t happy at work. I owe a lot to my family for supporting me nalang na tapuson ang pag-aaral. Mental health is important.

Kaya Yung mga tao Sa pilipinas, Hindi porket nag abroad ang tao mayaman na.. hwag Hingi ng hingi ng pera.. kung makatanggap, magpasalamat at huwag sayangin… napakahirap kumita ng pera sa abroad..
Relatives ko padala ng padala sa pamilya niya for yrs tapos nong namatay Ang father niya bigla siyang umuwi na walang pasalubong at walang pera dahil ng napadala na niya a month ago. Nong dumating siya sa lamay ng tatay niya, nanay niya lang nag pumansin sa kanya. Dahil ala siya pasalubong. Kaya now, lesson learned sa kanya.

40 yrs ago here in US I used to work 24/7 less sleep after years and years doing it, na realized ko, slave na ako ng money kaya unti unti ako nagbabawas ng work, mamamatay akong maaga tapos sa Pinas mga kaanak mo tinutulungan mo pero akala nila napupulot lang pera dito. Isa lang work ko dito at salamat sa Dios mag 21 yrs na ako sa Kaiser at magreretire ako na ok lang income ko. Ang dami namamatay na Pinoy ng maaga dahil they work 24/7 and die young. Very sad.. and I am very happy with decision. Thank you God..
Ginawa ko din ito 3 jobs pag dating namin nang asawa ko pag dating namin dito sa Canada 2 weeks lang kami nag pahinga from travel kami pa nang asawa ko kasi meron kami plan na magkaroon nang anak. Maaga pa lang work na mag nap lang nang 1hr tapos second job na then wala na nap diritso na sa 3rd job. Ganyan ang buhay namin dati 2009-2012 after 3 years nag 1st ivf kami dahil yun yung plano namin. 2013 2 jobs ako c misis wala work bantay bata muna. Ngayon 2 kids tapos isa nalang work namin more time kami sa mga anak at sa isa’t isa.
Nagwowok ako dito outside philippines, pero ang gusto ko pag nagretire is sa probinsya na me mga tanim na gulay... Others are enjoying that life without going abroad. Simple life being with your family is gold.

Sana na interview din yung asawa at anak ni "hustle queen", how do they feel about their set up? I feel sorry sa kanila kasi iba ang priorities ni Carmen. She said happy sya to provide for her mom and kapatid, but she never mentioned anything about asawa and anak nya.

Ginawa ko din yan. 2 hr sleep sa umaga 3 hour sleep sa hapon. Duty sa gabi. Pero di pwede tuloy tuloy. Mamatay ka maaga. Kaya ngayon 1 iob na lang. kelangan mag upgrade para mas lumaki ang rate and mag 1 job na lang
Pag maraming sinusupport na pamilya sa Pinas, need talagang madaming work.
Maraming ganito sa Canada, sanay na sila, lalo na kung sila ay single

Mahalaga ang rest, kabayan. Kailangan ng katawan natin ng lakas at para maka-focus. Yung pag “hustle” shows lack of trust in Almighty. Makinig ka din sa katawan mo. We have been created for purpose. Hindi na yan “wise” kundi “foolishness”, inaabuso mo na ang katawan mo. 😢

Kabayan, saludo ako saiyo 3jobs. Siguro magbawas ka ng work mo kc mapapagod ka masyado. Try your best na pumasok ka sa mas malaking per nursing home at cleaning so far ok naman ang kita. Full time sa nursing home with 26$ pr then once a week cleaning or twice 25 to 33$ pr hr . Ok naman ang sahod pang car at mortgage. Nakakapag pahinga ka pa.

No place like home,karamihan kasi sa mga Pinoy ay basta masabi lang na nasa Canada or abroad, nasa isip nila ay nasa paradise sila pag nasa Canada, ipinagmamalaki pa ng familiy nila na nasa Canada kapamilya nila,di nila alam na kulang sa tulog para may maipadala lang sa Pinas
It's about priorities talaga. I don't blame them really. Sana lang mabalance nila buhay nila between their chosen path and their health or personal lives. At the end of the day nasa tao pa dn yan kung masaya ba sya a ginawa nya nang buong araw o parang nagdaan lang dahil kailangan. Lahat talaga may dahilan and it's not up to us to say for them.
Ito ang dapat maintindihan ng mga pamilya sa pinas dahil hindi nila alam ang hirap ng buahay sa ibang bansa.napakasarap pakinggan ang ibang bansa pero hindi nila alang ang hirap.😔😔😔

I got it. Some Pinoys don't have financial literacy or long-term plan. They are living in the moment, saying "hangga't kaya." @@rafael7385 Sadlyf. And the cycle repeats itself IF the parents don't emphasize on higher education or some vocational training for their children. If I were to suggest to parents, I would tell them to invest in their children's education.
Mga bagong dating sa Canada normal ang 3 jobs para maka ipon for rent and other bills kasi minimum wage ka palang kaya need talaga madaming trabaho, kapag tumagal tagal na with years of experience tumaas na rin ang hourly rate nila, kaya na 1 job nalang. This is a norm na po. Lahat dumaan sa ganito (2-3 jobs) ❤
Para sa mga kababayannko hwag din puro padala mag ipon din para sa panahon na kailangan mo nang pera para sa health mo. Pag nag kasakit po tayo dito sa canada yung mga tinutulongan natin hindi ka nila matutulongan kaya ipon ka din pag may time.

Please take good care of yourself, a lot of pinoy sa Canada at my work had stroke and medical conditions from working x2-3 jobs a day. A few lost their lives even because of aneurysm and mental illness. It's significantly not worth it!
Sa mga ibang mga tao kasi, they get addicted to money like getting addicted to some drugs. Kahit sapat na ang salary nila, they want more. I've known some Filipino nurses here in US who work sometimes for 2 hospitals. They live in big and nice houses and drive expensive cars but don't have anymore time for their families.

Few years ago May pinay na natagpuang wala nang buhay sa room ng kanyang inaalagaan sa nursing home. Meron syang multiple jobs dito sa Montreal at triplex na binabayaran plus iba pa nyang bills at sa pinas din.
Sana, di na nagpapadala sa Pinas ng pera. Kasi kahit naman bansa ka mag work kung madami ang susustentuhan, talagang kailangan todo kayod 😢

minimum wage work kasi, mag aral o mag upgrade ng knowledge para more than minimum wage and maging work. isa pa pronlema ay lifestyle, sabi nga live within your means.
I can personally relate to the story. However, one must be reminded that “Rome was not built in one day” it takes time, patience and perseverance to get there.
Coming from the Philippines where opportunities are scarce. Now migrating to Canada where opportunities seem to be never ending. One cannot let these opportunities go by. It’s an “all you can eat” of jobs.
So what do we do when have an insatiable appetite to work as many jobs humanly possible without thinking of consequences that might occur.
Rather than working and making the minimum wage, doing it 3 times over each day. If one gets educated in an industry where there’s job security, then the salary threshold is no longer a hindrance to a person’s development.
Bottom line, get educated, go to school, get that stupid piece of paper saying that you have finished a course, degree or specialized courses.
Then one can move to a better income bracket than making minimum wage and working 3 jobs. This is by course of action.

Poor woman. She probably sends a lot of money to her family leeching on her every month. She will get out of this cycle when she learns to say no to a leech. If they’re an adult with no health issues, then they should get a job.
