I traded my copy to a friend in trade for Smash 3ds, mostly just so he could play it. Long story short, now I'm crying 7 years later.
Ah stop sure I’ve plenty of horror stories from back in the day some of the stuff I let go do cringe about it now! Sure that’s what it’s all about now though find and flip some stuff and buy it all back!
i never unseal stuff before trading it in as i find sometimes the staff wont open it and then whoever buys it gets a nice little bonus
Ah it wasn’t properly sealed was only stuck back one. Mine all make me open everything before trading it in must be in case someone sneaks a dodgy game in and do a re seal or something on them!

That's crazy money for Twilight Princess HD, you can get it for nearly half in Northern Ireland CEX @ £55. Which is only about 65 euro. Maybe order from CEX UK?
I know the difference in price is shocking we’re getting fleeced here. Even with vat and exchange it shouldn’t be anywhere near that price in comparison. Unfortunately they won’t deliver although there are ways around that. Little road trip up north could be on the cards do some investigating into all the price differences!

Thanks mate sorry for late reply I always miss the replies to the replies! Yeah it’s been on my mind for a while defo gonna do a video about it soon just need a day to do the spin up and plan it all out. Some of it is customs and vat very little exchange rate I’d imagine the rest is due to “higher costs” operating here but can only speculate really. Will try do some sort of breakdown of the maths when I do get around to the video
Hard to believe twilight Princess wii u standard copy is 110 euro used, I remember buying the collectors edition with the amibo and soundtrack in the box for 40 euro from argos in 2015.
Jesus that’s mad isn’t it not even 10 years and the hike it’s had! Would love to have grabbed the collectors edition probably doesn’t even go for that much more must keep an eye actually. Maybe upgrade the challenge and keep it going haha!

Knew you’d be impressed with the recent Gameboy additions! Looking forward to delving into that Zelda now. Will have to try not do a retro ed special and sit up til all hours stalking those midnight eBay game sales haha! Will certainly be scouting for some additions though!
110€ for a reprinted cover which is basically loose is daylight robbery, if you went into CEX with a game with a reprinted cover it would trade as loose but they're happy to sell the same thing back to you as complete.
They don’t buy games as loose, unless you mean people reprinting cardboard boxes for the more retro stuff
@@Adamlcgm my point is if you went in with the same copy it would be classed as loose but yet they can sell the same thing as complete/boxed.

@@Adamlcgm no they'd class a boxed game with a reprinted cover a loose but they sell the same thing as complete.
@@DarkPsyence ahh, I’ve never seen this done before. All reprinted covers are printed from CEX head office. Whenever a stock take on the boxes was done , you’d mark which boxes are missing , then take the discs from the wall and send a list to the warehouse where they’ll reprint the covers and then send them to the shop with an empty box. I’ve never seen someone reprint their own and trade it in , I use to work there for years
Gutted about that copy man, they legit should not be allowed to send out reprinted covers without notifying you or give a massive discount for it.

I ordered a copy of silent hill PS1 from CEX last week using credit (no way was I paying €115 cash for a PS1 game).
It hasn't arrived yet,but I'm nervous now it may arrive in a reprinted cover😅 Just out of curiosity, what are your options if it arrives incomplete / unsatisfied with the condition etc?
Can you simply return it if you are not happy with the condition?
Madness that you can pay upwards of 200 quid for a retro game and they don't even state what condition it is in or if it's complete🤯
Thanks for checking them out! Ah it’s a nightmare waiting to see what’s going to arrive you never know like! That was my first experience returning something and was no issue at all. I only wanted my voucher back which they did straight away. I think there’s like a 48 hour no quibble return but if there’s any sort of defect like reprinted covers or missing manuals pretty sure it’s a straight up no hassle return! Hopefully you don’t need it and get a nice clean mint one!

You can always go to local cex with online recipe and tell you are not happy with condition and get voucher back.

Ah that’s the first time I’ve had a bad experience to be honest. Well condition wise some bits haven’t been great but that’s the gamble when you order online. This was shocking though to charge complete price for something that was disc only. It’s easy enough to return stuff with them so will get a decent copy of it eventually!
