I was in some like dark maze. that you had to climb out of. almost like a sewer, but blue. I dont know why blue. water everywhere. and i knew there was something in this sewer chasing me. and i had to get out. But for some reason this sewer was familiar. I knew it, but i dont remember the path. making my way threw i find a white door. Like a white rectangle to the next area. Which i find a nice regal old house. except this house is just one long hallway. And perfectly square. like a ps1 game. and there was a figure. a figure of a shadow telling me to walk into the dark abyss. to which i then comply. I'm now on a couch surrounded by my family in an incredibly dark room. i can't remember their faces but i know they are my family. in front of me is a crt television. i hear waves crashing and see a black and white video of cliff. a couple trees and a view of the beach behind it. at this point i hear a voice tell me to wake up, and feel a hand on my shoulder. this hand i will never forget. for it was the most real a dream has ever been to me.

Moments of comfort, where the chance of life and the attitudes understood by a neural network, made me run towards a strange place that is familiar to me, a safe place...
I was contemplating coping this here this is my most messed up dream it actually happened today of all days. I was scared and wrote it out on a notepad with as little altering as I could muster yet since it was still a dream much of the stuff isn't going to make sense and the way in which events were stringed together was not logical. Warning this nightmare combined all of my fears. Here is the notepad with just autocorrect alterations.
dream started as a standard quest one collecting loot rpg shit I was collecting a cool powerful minigun from a lake when a feral dog attacked and ripped at my leg I had to use the gun to execute him it was a fairly long battle revolving around the both of us being trapped in the swampy water for a while until I eventually got the upper hand the minigun disappeared out of existence as I forgot about it
some kid sent me through the woods as he drew attention in one way, he wasn't in danger but helped me move undetected this is when I new a war was going on lots of soldier I could hear them but not see any
I got lost in a cave in which I bought rooms with my friends to expand it and had the standard fights with enemies that had weak spots that was genuinely like a fun game glowing heads with armor video game opponents. This was a genuinely very enjoyable part of the dream and I wish this had just gone on. yet as you stop thinking of something in a dream it completely vanishes.
next was more detail about what kinda war was happening I was in the past Nazi Germany is still a thing and I am likely in German territory
but at one point I went into an amalgamation of the fucked up experiments on people
before that though to get into the facility I drove down a road that lead to a dead end up what looked like a freeway the road just stopped and dropped like 20 feet. how I got into the car was forgotten.
I drove off the end and had gta physics got out the car and walked into the facility that was surrounded in barbed wire.
was escorted along with another group of what would be assumed to be high ranking people to the experiments
I walked down countless white corridors filled with small dentist like rooms yet in each room was a person mutilated I was so scared that even in the dream I wished not to look in
the few I did peek into I saw gouged out eyes and exposed brain with plenty of tools the people were being dismantled systematically
after that a dared not peek into another room.
yet another fucked up part was there were at least 50 room I passed each with a persons name on a sheet of paper outside with documentation I never even had enough time to look as we were escorted around the facility to the final room. it implied that this torture was widespread yet scientific bound by no morality
it was set up like a classroom
I went way too close to the the instructor which drew their attention on me they asked me with do you like booger clickers
having absolutely no idea what they were talking I just said man I don't know if I like booger clickers unimportant dream stuff the stuff that I could typically pick up and then snap out of the dreamlike state yet I was already so on edge from the previous rooms I couldn't recognize it
in the room along the corners sitting in the desks were heavily modified people they had metal braces on the top of their head and it looked as if the tips of their fingers were mutilated.
The instructor then proceeded to show the fruit of their labor by showing that these people had become perfectly obedient. if given a command that they understood they would follow typically warlike ones. yet each command was taken out with serious savagry so shoot and they furiously clicked away on tv remotes.
one of the spectators said a command that was not recognized and the mutilated people instantly became almost feral and aggressive yet still would not attack just make ungodly growls with their hands raised sort of like zombies yet when instructed to sit they went back to their set and remained quite.
The instructor was questioned on what these people were like before from another spectator and replied, "these were once useless people" the tone indicated they just had a clear disinterest in people in general
My dad was ion the room brought in by my subconscious he made a defensive posture around me. I told him no being even more afraid that he was now in this situation as well. but the end I recognized that all the spectators had gone prone along with myself and my dad. this was a projection of myself wanting to be as small as possible in this state.
I knew there was nothing I could do in this situation I was already inside being watched in their domain all I could think about was going along with watching until I could escape yet there was no escape once you walked in. I saw people stripped of their humanity with zero care it was a very real threat to all of us if we acted up.
The whole situation was so surreal as in being fucked up just to the point of being unbelievable yet the motives were explained when questioned. scariest part this was part of me my dream I was able to think of this situation and make it so real. I woke up to my alarm in the middle of the experimentation with the instructor. the familiar beep beep beep.
god I need therapy. I decided to record this because it would be sure that I would forget this in an hour but it was too messed up. I already know my greatest fear is not death but having the right of death taken away from oneself this dream clearly exploited that to its fullest along with mixing my other worst fears together. while also mixing a corrupted view on scientific discovery. death in most sense is a neutral end. Yet life can reach the depths of hell.
If this sounds rushed it was you will forget your dreams so this has been recorded on a notepad. I am currently still panicked while writing this.
@Georgina Burgess Yeah is been forever since I had a dream that vivid or in this case my first nightmare in years kinda makes me glad most of my nights are just blank. It did perfectly capture my fear of taking away suicide as an option. Like being a chickens in a pen awaiting slaughter. That said I'm doing fine actually just about to get out of school which is where the majority of my stress is built up and have just started releasing content for the world. glhf :)

It's really weird how whenever I dream it is usually me running. The funny thing is, I always know where I'm going and how to get there, but as much as I try I can't escape from that THING. It is always there, always waiting. Just when I think that I have finally escaped, it catches up and grabs me by the leg, pulling me closer into the darkness. I scream for help but nothing comes out. I scream and cry but none can hear my desperate pleads for help. And just as the creature looks straight into my eyes with its bloody red ones... I wake up... This playlist weirdly reminds me of the feeling I get when I dream about dark alleys and misty gigantic roads and buildings. Everything is always in a blur but it is oddly satisfying and addicting.
this is somewhat like my dreams, but it's always my friends or people i've seen before chasing me, and once they find me i wake up.

This playlist brought back memories of weirdcore/dreamcore dreams that i've had and i was bored so i have decided to share them with strangers :]
1. My first kinda weirdcore/dreamcore dream started off weirdly. I was able to fly, but not like usual flying. It was like swimming through air. Suddenly, there as a weird portal thing that sucked me into it, and I appeared in another world. It was quite nice, and seemed like paradise. The people were very kind, there were amazing places, etc. I don't remember this next part very well, but I do remember that something/someone was telling me i had a time limit in this place. However, I didn't listen to them. Also, side note, there was a huge pair of gates at the end of a large road, and they were open. I knew somehow that they were my way home, but I chose to never leave. When the day that my time limit was up came, I decided to stay. Then, the sky turned black, the gates swung shut and black vines began to grow on it, and the people in the dimension turned into these grotesque creatures. I don't think I was ever able to escape, because after that I woke up.
2. This one wasn't really weirdcore/dreamcore, but it was a bit more disturbing. I was one of my favorite characters at the time, but I was being chased by something. The catch: It was like I was running through quicksand. I was barely able to outrun the thing. After that, I entered a hotel room, and I'm fairly sure I was back to myself again, not the character who i was previously. The hotel room had one window, and was relatively small. All I really saw was a closet and the bed. So, anyway, somehow, a fire had started. I went into the closet even though I clearly could escape through the window (im not sure if it actually was a window because I forgot, but there was an obvious escape route) and let the fire consume me 💃✨
3. Final Weirdcore/Dreamcore dream, and the most recent. I was in a tall, blue building (think a pool/swiming area liminal space). There was this voice that I heard, and I think I was trying to find it. Finally, I got to the roof. There were two pools on either side of the building. One was very obviously deep, and i knew if I jumped into it I would be fine (side note: I heard somewhere that if you dive headfirst into shallow water, there is a chance that you can break your neck, therefore causing you to die/become paralyzed and drown) and the other was very shallow. I knew that if I jumped into the shallow one, I would die because of the whole neck thing. Now, this is where the voice decided to speak up. Oddly enough, it was the calmest voice I had ever heard, and it gave me mother figure vibes. I've dubbed this thing "Maya" as that name has many meanings that add onto this. Anyway, Maya kept telling me to jump into the shallow pool, and I almost listened because of how calming and loving the voice was. However, I knew that I would die, so I kept refusing. Eventually, the thing got angry, the sky turned red, and more creatures appeared. They said that if I didn't jump in there would be consequences, and I began to run down the stairs of the building while they chased me. I remember coming to a dead end and getting cornered by the creatures before Maya whispered "You should've stayed with me" before I woke up.
So yeahhhh, there's my dreams :] poggers, amirite?

This is it. I’ve listened to like 400 hours of weirdcore/dreamcore playlists but I just keep coming back to this one. This one hits so different with one of my favorite tracks off the bat. It’s nearly perfect. This is like the perfected version of the weirdcore video game soundtrack with the Mario 64 screenshot playlist. Not to mention one of my favorite areas from LSD as the bg of the music in here. This is so comfy. This is so oddly and nichely unnerving but relaxing. Thank you so much.

I used to spend hours just listening to the Distortion World bgm. Something about it was so calming, a little lonely, hesitantly hopeful that maybe someone would come. Giratina was my absolute favorite Pokemon of all time, and its homeworld song was just so fitting. Good memories.

The first song- well really this entire playlist makes me feel a weird feeling of comfort. Not the one you get when your mother hugs you in her arms, not the one you get when you see a family member you haven’t seen in years again, and not the one you get by just the feeling of love in general. This comfort isn’t love-based like comfort.. it’s the kind you get after taking a few deep breaths during not after- but during a panic attack. You’re still anxious, still horrified by whatever caused your fear, but drift off for just a few seconds.. falling into your own sense of reality, where you feel no pain, where you don’t remember your past, where you cannot feel sadness because that does not exist anymore, where you feel.. *snap* you’re back. There’s no such thing you silly goose! Cause you are stupid. Or should’ve I said I?? Now you’re just wishing to go back but no matter your efforts.. well, you’re not going back. You’re forced to focus on reality. Comfort without love, just obsession, and horror. Something that once was.. leaving your eyes before you can even remember it. But the more you focus on what’s actually there- the more it becomes better than your false reality. Just kidding!

Since some people are talking about their dreams here, I'll share some aspects of my own little dream world. My dreams actually aren't all that random. Infact, they're pretty consistent most of the time. My dreams always take place in a small world that I created myself. It doesn't really have a name, but it's a medieval fantasy type of world. I mostly take on the role of "Jophiel", a travelling doctor. He's sorta like me, but also different in some aspects. The dreams usually start in a small tavern, which doesn't really have a changing interior, but it's often placed in a different environment (like a different city than before, for example). I always exit that tavern after buying a drink, and then I explore. Sometimes I meet other people, sometimes I don't. Sometimes the environment is completely random, sometimes it's quite realistic for a dream world. Sometimes I help other people and animals, sometimes I just don't do anything. This world, and Jophiel, my "alter ego", actually originated in my daydreams, but then everything carried over into my dreams that I have when I sleep. I don't know if this is normal or not, but I like escaping into my little world. It's sort of a refuge from my real world problems, especially when school is stressing me a lot. My dreams are usually pretty long, and in a way, this dream world of mine feels like a second life, given how often I enter it and how many elements of it are reccuring between dreams.
The strangest thing is that the most music from games in that 2 videos from japanese games. Which is I play. In games this not looking too odd or somehow alien, but listen the same music without context makes totally different vibe. I wonder is this some kind of deep anxiety energy in japanese people or it's something else.
Anyway, you doing great music lists, so keep it up, really like it.

I imagine myself in a pixelated, trippy rpg centered entirely around a weirdcore world, kinda like OMORI.

I had a dream!
But the most weird and cool part is...that dream is the very first thing i remember, i got it when i was 3-4. Like ya know- you don't remember anything as a baby/child but you have your very first memory of it that you remember? Yeah, it was the dream
I was in my living room but the big window and the big door that's in the end of both room are gone, insteed it was a white light. The living room was blurry, there was human figures walking past me, a lot of them. But they were all super blurry, i couldn't even see one face.
I was 3-4 so of course i acted like a lost child, but i wasn't scared i was just...standing there.
And then one of the blurry people came up to me and holded my arm, it had a red shirt.
We walked into the white ligth that's where our window is supposed to be.
And then i don't remember anything about waking up and what happened next.
It's pretty cool honestly, it felt like i died when i was 3-4 in my past life and that place is where people get born again. When you walk into the white light, you get born again.
Maybe that red shirt person was someone helping people to be born again or just...i don't know...
