- Our newest Chinese go kart is fun and comfortable- it is a full suspension buggy after all- but, the 110cc semi auto engine is slow! In today’s episode we perform a go kart engine swap by installing a high output 140cc 4 speed semi auto engine in this pit bike powered go kart.

The 140 is really the Goldilocks engine for this kart- plenty of power, still decent on fuel! This was a fun one.
Can you share the name of the 140 engine? Thank you!
@@jeffeverest1 Probably a Lifan/Loncin/ZingChen or some sort of those engines.
9:39 Oh Charles is tiring to hide that laugh at what he said ha ha ha.
If that's the goldilocks zone then what would a Yamaha 530Tmax or kfx700 motor be...?
You guys should totally actually probably do a good full on upgrade to the front steering to make it far better for a machine as fast as this one.
Otherwise, I think this thing is pretty cool. And as per always, keep doing what you do, because good lord this stuff never gets old.
I do miss the old days of watching y’all at this house it was just good times I grew up watching y’all and wishing I had cool friends lol then i met my best friend my wife that’s all I need
Bet the neighbors are thinking, I thought we got rid of them?
@@michaelvangundy226 awe idk they ain’t that bad I have been abs had way worse people around me then these guys there good people for sure
@@michaelvangundy226 exactly lolol
Hell yeah, throwbacks. Been watching since the $50 go kart build, it's cool seeing the original HQ again. Congrats on a million!
Got to make sure you put a 26mm carb on those 140cc engines. Its makes a huge difference in performance. Alot of the kits come with a 21mm. FYI. Would love to see you do a comparison on this.
And a bigger pipes. It’s a must. It sounds very hard working
@@josteincarlsen2905 yeah exhaust is struggling.
Your right lol
I've got a prime candidate for one of those engines! Where and how much can I get 1 for?
@@MrCrazyking81 I need to know this as well!
@5:28 Gonna have to reiterate & make a quote out of that one. "IF you aren't sure it'll fit...ALWAYS just try to stick it on in there." -CarsandCameras 2022 😆
In regards to the steering, while watching Ike test out the 140 he was doing those 180s and I thought "that thing handles just like a warthog from Halo". Maybe a good theme for a paintjob down the road, something like Gunmetal Grey and OD Green with a jerry can in the back or something, getting the lights working would be cool too.
Love the videos guys! I’d like to see some more go carts with 3-5 speed transmissions
Love the throwback episodes! I'm sure John's dad was happy to have the crew back around.
only part of the throwback your missing is Ike being chased by an angry rooster lol.
These two episodes were PURE nostalgia. What a cool little cart.
Sounds like it could do with a little carb work for that bottom-end stumbling, or just a bigger carb, just to give it more power off the line... :D
Charles is such a perfect addition to the channel. The 3 of you are great together! Very cool kart and the swap seems really simple!
I loved how you guys took it back to where it all started
A new exhaust and a 26mm carb will do wonders! Nice vid as always
Great Job! I can see alot of people outthere "Googling" 140cc engine.
That is EXACTLY what I am off to do… that and Craigslist for a Chinese go kart
Nice seeing the side burns again Isaac!
The cart is sweet with the 140cc! Isacc looking like Elvis Presley. Go a Lil dance for us, hombre! 😅
Love the videos guys I’ve been watching for a long time I remember waiting for videos on the rat rod wagon being built
Loved the whole two episodes…back to basics…now lawn can recover
Heck to the yeah. I’ve got a project in mind where I take a lawnmower transmission and put it on my go kart. Either predator or continue to use my old 6 hp tecumseh
That Audi R8 in the background looks so good!
Looks like fun! Add some actual knobby tires and go 33's?
Oh yeah, you need a 1 1/4 inch straight pipe exhaust with a stinger! They are not your neighbors anymore.
Just kidding Dad. ;)
when he said let it self clear, Charles said the case is the tensioner...I died...lol
Good to see a gentle running-in regime.
the "do not use" are fine if you check that the core of the wire is lined up before clamping down (if its not aligned it will just cut it)
Watching John with that open end wrench while he was talking was driving my ocd crazy it’s like charles could hear me and or felt the same way as I thought in my head dude why no ratchet? …. Charles hands him a ratchet lol. Thank u Charles 😂
Like i said before John knows carts, Issac knows bikes!! congrats
to the 3 of ya that looked fun!!😝😝
That engine hating that stock muffler😂
man this intro took me back! love it!
Brilliant guys! Sort the alignment and tyres out then it has to rip round the official track back at the workshop!
You all should put more of those engines on some of your builds...
Just a audi r8 casually sitting in the drive 🤣
Yeah just destroy the engine instead of doing it right. That sounds right... Awesome video guys!
That Debra can be a real rascal! She gets in everywhere!
That go cart looks like an absolute blast!
These 140s are fun to swap into small things! I've got a lifan 140 5 speed on a 2006 kawasaki klx110 and it's a blast. If I had the room I could probably pull a 3rd gear wheelie. I weigh 195 and the bike weighs around 100 pounds (maybe less since I can toss it pretty far) for reference.
Right now I'm waiting on a big bore kit and a bigger carb so the bikes in pieces waiting for a refresh on everything (especially the brakes)
You swapped a klx110 for a pit bike engine lol that is a crime lmao I bet it's fun though and better in fuel and can blast all day without cooling down can thrash em for hours and not need work after an hours ride like some new bikes
I liked it when Charles said I am safe up here
Hell of a job boys! Cool to see you guys goin back to the old shop for a build. Gta love a simple motor swap to bring the fun out of these chinese carts.
Going back to your roots! Glad to see that you guys haven’t forgotten where you came from
oh boy you know it will be good if it can do wheelies
love this team effort everytime & job always well done
Dad says "That's enough boys!"
I would be a little iffy about that chain rubbing the case, just saying I would inspect that real carefully to make sure that there absolutely no chance of it causing an oil leak. if there's no chance of an oil leak then I would go with it. those scotch lock things that you used, I don't have a complaint with them. I seen them quite a bit especially when adding a trailer light connectors. I've even used them myself without any issues. a person just has to make sure they are covered up and not left out in the open in the atmosphere. but I wouldn't recommend using them on important electrical components under the hood of a vehicle. I don't know but I think some people would bitch if they were hung with a brand new rope.
My question is tho...but dont those style engines rely on moving air from driving to keep cool? And if so doesn't the seat restrict that from happening? Id be making some sort of air dam/ram box style to take air from above or bellow to force air flow across the head fins n so on..
Need to rotate those rear tires get the tread going the correct way, help traction.
They are bald…don’t think it will help at this point.
Was thinking the same thing!
@@tylertieman1678 there's enough there to help. 2/3rds of the tire has tread left , they look like they've been run way over pressured by the previous owner so at the right pressure those edges will dig in when turning with the flex of the side wall.
@@jayhow997 or they can just spend $40 and put new tires on it and only have to take them off once.
@@tylertieman1678 yeah they can, no harm in testing though is there.
Try some four wheeler mudd tires.& Rims on that go kart guy's. It'll handle way better than the last ones did easier to. Smaller four wheeler mudd tires.& Rims will work on that part. You might half to modify the mudd flappers./whee gaurds. You can also use A mountain bike derailleur for the chain tensioner guide to cause it's spring loaded to. Just fab up your own mounting bracket and bolt 🔩 it into place is all.
This thing is way better than before. I'd say throw some rubber with a little more traction on there. I wonder is the engine would fit after installing a big bore kit and some performance exhaust. This is really cool guys!
Cleetus would be proud 👏.
I think y'all should get 10 of your builds and have a day where you take turns and run them all on the grand prix and make it a hour long video. One of my favorite channels .
A piece of the plastic on an automotive timing chain guide between the chain and the case is something worth trying. 😉
I was just thinking a couple videos ago it be cool to see y’all do something at the old HQ!!! That Puggly 2.0 looks fun with that 130 on it.
"Seat belt doesn't work?" Let it flop by the back tire... 😉... And Charles in the tree at the end, like watching kids grow up 😆
Now you guys have to race pugly and this one! I forgot what you named it
Y’all’s videos are very entertaining. But it’s a wonder someone hadn’t already hit a tree. If you hit hard one enough it will be life changing.
Hell yah love the video just got my GK Chinese go kart upgraded from 110cc-125cc I wanna bigger motor it’s hella fun
NOW THATTTT LOOKS LIKE A FUN LITTLE BUGGY!!! 😄
ehh, just fill the scotch loc with a polyurethane sealant like ultima to make it water resistant. they're ok for low amp, low vibration uses, but if you're gonna wire up an electric winch, or a harness that needs to flex a lot, you might wanna go a different route. they are a field expedient solution, and are better than just twisting wires together and wrapping them up with electrical tape. any electrical connection exposed to the elements will eventually corrode, even if its soldered or terminated into a connector plug, it's just a matter of time. i've even had a weatherpack connector that was corroded on a vehicle that i worked on before, and those things ain't cheap.
Scotchlocks the old wire guillotine 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the go-cart looks great👍
“The case is the tensioner” 🤣
Keyboard warriors! Lmao 🤣🤣🤣 that was great
i bet your dad was like "great there goes my grass again" lol nice to see the old HQ and grand prix track around the yard
Hell yeah I love the new engine in the go kart!
Really love this project!!!
Sometimes you have to wiggle the wire around to make sure it has a good connection!👍😬 As discussed earlier, the Scotch lock connector is not the best, but will work if hooked up properly!😉✌️ And you might have to do some jet work on the carburetor for maximum performance! Or close to it anyway!👍🤞🙏
Don't be getting any Debra in there Charles 🤘😂🤘
"do as I say, not as I do" seems to be the theme of this episode 😅
What a difference that motor made pretty bad ass guys , great seeing you guys back where it all started to! Would love to see upgraded steering may be bigger tires and better caster🤷🏻♂️👍🏼🤩😎
Would something like this work on a yerf dog 3203 with some modifications, and any links to the engines?
Pissing off the neighborhood again! Love it guys keep it up!!!
Old schoool vibes!!!!
The 3 stooges strike again ! LOL.Happy Trails guys.
Man charles is such a good additon to the channel, btw congrats on the milll i used to watch u guys growing up ar 300k nd when i first starting to get into minibikes, gokarts, dirtbikes before i got into my car stuff nd got my car but im glad u guys are consistent nd keeping up the good content looking foward to more awsome contentt!!
It's all about solid contact, I think those centrifugal clutches waste a lot of engine power in slippery. Using a manual transmission is the smartest way to get all the speed out of an engine.
i see that R8 in the back ground
You guys did a great job on your shop mods as well.
Respect. 👊
I "almost forgot" the layout of the property at John's Parents Home!
Are they both still supporting your (John) choice of being an Utuber?
So glad you and Issac didn't move the "Whole Operation" into that rickety "Chicken Shed".
That’s some good old fashioned fun right there.
Man, your dads garage looks so clean and empty since he kicked your sorry butts out :)
Charles climbing the tree = Drama...... heh
If the chain wears a hole through the case call it a auto chain oiler.
Your parents neighbors are probably freaking out right now thinking you guys are back 😂. Take the muffler of and rip it down the road for old time sake.
The case is the tensioner!!!🤣🤣🤣💀
You guys are amazing but you should do a lot more put bike stuff maybe a series on how to Mack high performance pitbike engine or bike with isac old tricks he learn over the years
Could you put that engine on an MB200 frame? That would be awesome!
Then let them rip! Good 👍 luck on the builds to guy's. Keep up the good 👍 work to.
Nice work. She's a ripper.
Get yourself some 12-volt floodlights to mounted bracket on the machines for at night time traveling.& Use's to.
The reverse idea is A good one for it to.
yx140, could do with a real mikuni vm26 and a pitbike exhaust to open it up. Looks like you could curl up an exhaust at the right side and/or under the engine.
stick a mikuni 26mm carb and pitbike exhaust and oval muffler on it just chop the exhaust pipe down if too long and then it will be a monster with everything free er flowing trust me it will make a massive difference🤘🏽
Great build!! SEEMS to Need a SPROCKET? 110 3rd gear not used & 140 4th gear not used
Should of just named the channel “for testing purposes” 😂
I love y’all’s videos
the next dust bowl. you should invite prasca boys garage!
I want to see the 190cc on there from the ct70 build😂
Never seen someone kick start their go cart! awesome
You guys need to get a Dayton 190 4 valve and put it in your mini cross carts would be the fastest thing you own. 😉 around your track
Oh yeah way faster😆😳👍👌😃 allsome work guys from cruzermans inventions 😃👌
you are the best :-))) these toys always make you feel 😊👍
