Who needs a Super Mario Bros movie when you can have Bowsette? ;) We finally share our first complete MAP, or community animation collab! Featuring 23 animators with vastly different styles, this is a long-awaited animated music video for The Chalkeatersâ first meme song: Bowsette. To freshen it up, we re-recorded it from scratch, inviting our friends Meret Giddy (formerly M-G UniNew) and Nekro G to sing as Bowsette and Mario once again!

If you think about it, this song is actually about a really good message, itâs about seeing those who actually care for you rather then going for someone unobtainable just because of appearances, not to mention it is done in a catchy way and in a easy to understand format AND it is done in a way that gives an EXAMPLE of a toxic relationship to avoid, I will say tho the bowser wink at the end was very funny but picturing bowser as a tsundere or a yandere for Mario kinda matches the vibes I got growing up playing Mario đ
I see that last scene to represent that their loves isn't superficial Mario isnt in love with the image of Bowsette he loves Bowser and accepts his love in return. I thought it was cute.

That explains why it resonated with me on an emotional level so strongly when hearing Bowsette's lines, like _"She's out there, but I'm here"_ and _"Your princess may be in another castle, but I'm still here"._
This video with all of these animation styles has an abbreviated version of the song. The full version contains more Bowsette lines, such as _"Say did she ask you out for a date for once, or spend just one night with you in forty years?"_ which really hits harder when I've experienced what I have. Being devoted to a girl for around eleven years, helping her out of a bad relationship, being woken up by her past 1am when I was angry at her for disregarding my texts and not getting back to me when I was worried about her but putting my anger aside to console her since she was distraught, being lied to and strung along while she was "in another castle". She wound up with someone else and I was prepared to just be a loyal friend to her after finding out, until a bit of further discussion in which I confided in her about some vulnerabilities from childhood scars, as she had repeatedly urged and said I could always do, only for her to turn cold, harsh and start projecting what she was doing onto me; accusing me of being toxic.
It sounds stupid, but had I found this song earlier, there's a slight chance it could have saved me a few years. (I only found this song hours ago.) In this song, Bowsette sings, _"I'm sorry, but she's in another castle and she won't even care for you, I fear"._ There was one year that broke me down enough to ask her a couple months before to send me an e-mail wishing me a happy birthday on my birthday (a day away from her half-birthday), despite me typically not wanting to think about my birthday. She flaked.
Edit for context I forgot to type at first:
I didn't like my "Princess Peach"/"Princess Toadstool" for appearances, I fell for her through typed out messages before seeing how she looked. I don't have a "Bowsette" in my life, though.
I'm used to the term toadstools being applied to Amanita mushrooms (though the internet says "toadstool" is a generic term for any kind of mushroom), containing mycotoxins, poisons made by fungi.

That's already been done as a yandere sim thing, but if it were made into a 'some powerful antagonist notices mortal man is in one-sided relationship, and decides to kidnap the girl he likes for him to see that the person he's going after isn't as worth it if he has to risk everything. Eventually as she kept kidnapping this woman and she keeps meeting the guy, she eventually falls for the guy.'
THAT would be incredibly sweet to see. Just this well-meaning guy who can be a bit naive to not only learn how to love properly without falling in risk of his naivete, but for the villain to learn from this well-meaning guy. Makes me want to make my own story lmao.

Nintendo made a giant blunder trying to suppress this whole thing. Imagine this for a scenario:
Bowser uses the crown, becomes Bowsette, takes over Mushroom Kingdom and tries to get some kind of Industrial Revolution going but then gets defeated by Mario, except of course falls in love and antics ensue. Ends up with the both of them together and things going unexpectedly well, maybe one could have some co-op play or other mechanics openings. Things end up much mellowed out and the citizens very glad to have some kind of change and new goals to fight towards...
But then, in jealous and hurt response, Princess Peach finds some kind of inverse equivalent to the crown, and turns herself into a dragon monster, the "Mushroom King" or "Toadstool Tyrant" or something. And invades the kingdom with a combined army guerilla of hold-out royalists and mercenaries. And kidnaps Bowsette.
Cue even more hijinks and many lulz.
Props to all the animators that made the decision to have Bowsette wiggle her tail. Thatâs super expressive and super cute.

I want to point out this tiny detail in Kiryumia's animation at 0:45. They start their scene with the same pose where the previous scene ended and it makes the transition like an actual MV. I found it really cool haha

Parts of it reminds me of "Svotty doesn't know".
What is hilarious is that each time the line "She's oh so busy with her fancy hustle" came up in the song, I imagined a very specific scene of Peach with her parasol behaving in a specific way, moving to the song's rhythm to illustrate Bowsette's point in my head. And somehow the animators who made those parts created a near exact replica of what I was imagining. The whole thing was hilarious, cute and definitely worth the wait!

I don't think anyone's really talked about the transition at 0:23, which is a shame because it's really technically impressive. Instead of a very sudden shift, you can see that C Cameron drew mimicking Wildface1010's style, and when Mario lets go of his mustache it smoothly transforms into his own style. Very underrated work there.

I like to think that this is Bowserâs equivalent to Plankton busting out Plan Z in the first Spongebob movie. Plankton tried everything else but forgot that Plan Z existed. A plan so incredibly far-fetched and ridiculously outlandish, by several orders of magnitude more than everything that preceded it, yet somehow it was the only plan that ended up working. At least until Spongebob and Patrick got King Neptuneâs crown back from Shell City. Bowser has tried just about everything but Mario saves Peach every single time. But one day Bowser wakes up and has an epiphany. This is his plan:
1) Kidnap Peach, take her back to his place, the usual stuff. Getting Peach is the easy part, but keeping her has been much more difficult.
2) While Mario is on his way to get her, get Kamek to turn him into a Rule 63 half-human female version of himself, inspired by Peachâs appearance, along with more well-endowed âassetsâ to sweeten the deal.
3) Wait for Mario to arrive. When he eventually does, approach him and say that Peach is in another castle, but Bowsette is still here.
4) Seduce the fat Italian plumber and make him lose interest in wanting to save Peach at all. After all, Bowsette does somewhat resemble Peach so I guess Mario has a type lol
5) Once he gains Marioâs trust and his guard is completely down, Bowser quickly captures Mario and puts him in a cage right next to Peach. Bowser reveals himself again after Peach realizes that Mario got catfished by a Rule 63 version of Bowser/Peach.
6) Peach is secured because Mario canât save her, because Mario also canât save himself because he got catfished. Just make sure Mario can never escape and the W should be in the bag.
I completely understand why Nintendo would never want to make Bowsette canon (horny internet degenerates), but if this was the plot to an actual Mario game that would be hilarious, maybe with the game having some sort of a second act in which Mario tries to escape.
Oh, and the most important step of all, just before Bowser turns into Bowsette, he says âno homoâ thus forgiving any fruity behavior in the name of victory. Mario and Bowsette are also wearing socks the whole time so itâs all good.

Man, this gives her huge personality. I think the most is Kiryumia with that hip sway, before pulling Mario close with a strong streak of aggression, but being sympathetic about him being lead on by Peach, and also FungiFeast with that mocking of Peach's prim and proper demeanor while being openly hostile to her.

Honestly? The idea has extremely good merit assuming a few things (which are entirely reasonable to assume would be the case here) are true:
1. Bowser's reasons to become Bowsette are motivated towards her self-betterment ("out of my shell" would imply trans allegory, but there are hypothetical other routes one can go, i like the trans route myself)
2. Mario isn't so enamored by the booba that he doesn't realize it's Bowser, and the two at least have ONE discussion that goes and directly makes this change clear- and that:
a. This isn't some ploy or trap, it's Bowsette wanting to express herself better.
b. That she *wants* to be a better person.
3. Both sides are genuine and communicate what they want, Mario wanting a partner that feels like they care for him for how much he'd give to them, and for Bowsette to have that love and partner she wants.
4. That the romance and progression is naturally built up, and isn't rushed. The two seem to already have chemistry (why else would they play so many side games together-) and there doesn't seem to be a level of spite (which is sorta what the original comic sorta implies-, but definitely can be built a different way)
5. Honesty, Compassion and Acceptance. Mario accepting and loving Bowsette with and without the Super Crown- and Bowsette feeling like she doesn't *need* the Super Crown for their love to happen.
I can genuinely believe that this animation shows that- and like I hope that Mario gets that love that he worked his arse off for almost 40 years at this point for.
I 100% ship it.
1:27 is under appreciated, the animation style of that artist was so smooth

I agree 100%. I saw Bowsettes first part on a different app and my first thought was this sounds like a Phineas and Ferb song. Then i saw her 2nd part and it sounded more like the 2000s. Didn't realize it was the same video until i looked for it.
Though it does seems that the audio for Bowsette is slightly different in their 2nd part.

@@andrewj479 I wouldn't call it trash, just a diffrent art style. Not my prefered art style but a lot of hard work went into them. All 23 artists did a great job. This particular one was my art style.
My favorite animation style in this entire thing is at 0:45 Kiryumia. The dance is just *chef's kiss*. I'd love to see a full version in just that animation style. Not that the others are bad, just that one is my favorite.
I definitely agree that it's one of the best parts although I'd say FungiFeast's part was more appealing to me, I just love how smooth the mocking walk and eyes were

One thing I love about the first Mario bars. He still has a thing for Peach, he accepts his hero role and runs with it. But then Bowsette talks to him, treats him like a person and shows she actually cares for Mario. By his second bar he's 100% done with the Princesses shit. Not just Peach, but ALL of them. Meaning he realized that all the other princesses just used him and that the only one that saw him was Bowsette.

This is so amazing, i went and looked up the original and it didnt compare. Then i realized this version is missing a verse and i really want to see this done again (with all this amazing work) and that missing verse as a rerelease later on!
0:30 port5igarâs animation was just probably my favorite. I love the camera movement and how Bowsette made a dramatic-like entrance. Overall though this is still one of my favorite videos to watch all time, just the amount of effort put into this by everyone is incredible!
