Clarification: By "hayañ" she doesn't mean "Indians". She means foreigners, people belonging outside this tribe. I hope other fellow-indians don't get offended because we the apatanis of Arunachal Pradesh are also proud Indians.
that's what I was thinking isn't she Indian .now I make it clear thanks .btw your culture is very different .but love it :-)
Kampu Punyo not exactly foreigners or people outside this tribe. Hayan is used to refer to non tribals, especially mainland Indian people. When we say 'Hayan-Misan', misan is for people of other tribes. Besides, the old lady speaks for the time when this place was not influenced by Indian Govt. We are today by any means Indian but no offense was intended in this video like you thought.
thanks i was confused.
'Hayan' means all the outsiders..
Thanks for this clarification...Wish I get to visit Arunachal soon, especially Tawang...And the entire northeast....Gosh someone please give me a month's break to see this part of my country
it kinda made me sad to see how disappointed she was over the fact that it 's not seen as beautiful anymore to have tattoos, ear-, and noseplugs and that they don't wear their traditional clothing anymore. I suppose in this day and age those traditions lose it's meaning to mainstream fashion and beauty (I'm not saying that's a bad thing. we are all part of it)
+Nina Szabo It made me sad too. It made us sad because it's very sad to have part of your culture "decided" away.
+Nina Szabo Nothing in the world remains forever. The only thing constant is change
+Z Jay that's absolutely true.
Nina Szabo
it's a quote from bhagwad gita.
+Nina Szabo There is no such thing as mainstream fashion and beauty, every culture has its own standards which are vividly different from each other, there is increasing westernization in the world, and adopting western values seems like progress which is not the case. I hope people realize that every culture has evolved and should keep on evolving on its own terms and not be replaced by a different culture.
WOW! Thank you natgeo. NE india is a place not many of the western world even know anything about
Jose Rhode Island visit someday... India is too vast and diverse.
@Shubham Bhowmick brother, I did not mean it to be interpreted in this manner. It's true, the west is not the owner of my validations, but I am very grateful for Natgeo to inform people like myself of stuff like this
No need to go that far. Even the people of India don't know anything about this place.
@@onyxgan9923 exactly
@@onyxgan9923 True. I went Ladakh last month, and they don't even know where Tripura is.
I can see her sadness...
I always thought it was silly how hard it seemed for adults to deal with change when I was little.... Now that I'm older, I see it's difficult to come to terms with. And I'm not even that old so I'm not excited for further aging.. lol
Mreel P 🤗
Mreel P absolutely her sad is shown through her representation
Mreel P I totally agree that there are sadness shown through her representation about her traditions is being replaced by modern lifestyle
She is an overall happy person. She only has sadness because of the younger people don't wearing traditional clothing. Her customs and culture will be lost forever. Otherwise her day to day she is very happy. She sees the writing on the wall and that is the only thing that saddens her nothing else much does.
It's sad how these cultures die down. I'm scared that one day the whole world will be the same.
Well if you see it that way. People will always find a way to differentiate between themselves anyway. Seeking to label ourselves and each other. We are not a we without them. I am not me without them. Human instinct it seems.
the world will become the same but in the past the world would of been as diverse as we see it now
some random medieval farmer living in Europe would have no idea about China or american cultures at the time.
Sh3020 M Or others will form.
Sh3020 M ofcourse it will be. Nwo.
Lvl 3 Roadman thats kind of mean and how would it be facing reality?
Change will inevitably take place and these traditions will die out..... But it's important that we document and preserve it for longevity... That tinge of longing and holding onto your roots and culture tugs at your heart... Thanks#natgeo for showcasing this gem!
girlintheairportTrue...they really give a real value.

Exactly. If it’s real, lots of NG documentaries are fake... I have seen real ethnic minorities like these, and their piercings are not in noses.. make real documentaries NG...
Lol I'm also from north east india and my tribe is galo the apatanis are still here we are not gonna die or anything we have our own state
India is blessed to have northeast culture.
The Person who is Chanting with the Chicken liver is my Grandfather "Buru Tanyo" ...feeling Proud for him....Thanks National Geographic for showcasing our Tribe "APATANI"
Buru Tago nanu Christian maa poo
Buru Tago there was a baby sparrow, was that part of a ritual?(or
Buru Tago you mean the man killing baby chicks and has one tied up to a stick pile as it struggles to escape? you mean him?...
Buru Tago @ I belong to one of the tribes of Kuki and this movie remind me the past of my culture. While watching this movie I can see the similarity of my culture and yours' culture. The traditional dresses of our are the same, specially the scripts are exactly same as CHIN-KUKI also, many more things like chanting and sacrificing chickens to the omen/god. In the past before christianity came this priest are highly respected. They heals sickness, ask blessing for more crops yielding and production and many more.. It will be very interesting to learn the similarity and diversity of our culture if you could come in like google chat or something...
how old he is? your tribe people looks very healthy charming and also lots of old age
Appreciating the diversity of our world. The spirit of that woman is beautiful and so she is beautiful. Thanks NatGeo for the peek into a life outside of my norm.
External Religion always destroy culture. Adi religion is their main , many were hindus. They destroyed their culture and proud of it. So Shameful .
What she is referring to as Indianisation is actually westernisation. And each and every old generation of India is complaining of losing traditional ways.
I am from Odisha which is supposedly in mainland India, yet some fifty years ago my people never associated themselves as Indian. Only after formation of India did we see ourselves as Indian.
My grandma had those tattoos too, I hear it was very common back then. Even now people do it but none of those elaborate traditional patterns Suddenly they were out of vogue and considered old fashioned. I can relate to what's going on in this tribe.
mtarkes interesting. I just looked at it on the map and it appears to be not far from Nagaland area yet not close either. So what ethnic background did your ancestors associate with? Do you look oriental such as the woman and her relatives in the video or do you look more like the Indians (Dravidian or northern) ?
Globalization is a plague affecting ALL nations of the world.
mtarkes Indian govt banned it. It didn't just fall out of fashion... Maybe if you dig more, your traditional tattooing must also be banned?
mtarkes any dominant community suppressing and invading the space of minor culture can leads to any zation, so in Northeast, it's not just westernization, but indianization and hunduisation.. You ll know the intensity only if you visit the place.
I think this old lady is much more smarter than you on that point becos she brings the context in place.. Whereas you blindly go by text.
Speaking Hindi, watching Bollywood and getting influenced, wearing Indian salwar kameez to look modest in public, calling girls "maals". Learning Hindi falls and what not. That's what indianisation is.
Thats my tribe. My mother also has tattoos.
Yaming Rubu I'm from Maharashtra and I love arunachal people. in fact entire north east!!!
SAMSHER DUBEY , its from the apatani tribe of arunachal pradwsh
Yaming Rubu hala poo
You don't look like them... You're beautiful, but you look more Polynesian or of South-East Asian heritage. You should get the tattoos they'e dope! (Not the nose piercings though)
imax digital india is a multi racial country, they dont look of polynesian or SE asian hertiage, they look of NE INDIAN HERITAGE
I feel her pain and sadness at how disappointed she feels for abandoning their traditions these days. I don't belong to Apatani tribe, but they are a beautiful tribe. I am one of those who will love to preserve the dying tribal communities all around the world. They are special treasures.
Hruaii Vangchhia such ugly and painful traditions should be abandoned.
Needle work101 I agree. It's harming their lives
The only reason people stopped wear Tiipes is because the govt banned it since those who wore tiipes were discriminated
True
@@fancyegg1891 It's harming their lives because larger society discriminates against them. It's the outside world's fault, not theirs.
Thank you national geographic for showcasing our tribe 🤗😁

nice to see the kids play bey blade
Haha, was thinking the same
Those are not bay blades, those are old cultural toys called "lattoo". Pretty common in india way before the bayblades got introduced.
It is amazing how Nat Geo makes a documentary on NE india but not one document has been made by Indian
The dog at 2:49 was adorable.
Abigail Lyttle haha u and me are same kind of creatures 😂😂

The sadness in her eyes when she said her people didn't have those tattoos anymore
I'm an arunachli, nyishi by tribe, but its so nice to look at NAT GEO,telling the world about us.
Would you know why the tradition of tattoos was stopped / banned in the Apatani tribe? AM doing a research on this topic and any information would be of help. Thanks.
@@deepalikampani it's not banned. Just the new generations don't feel the use of needing it. These girls want to look normal just like any other girls(without tattoos).
Deepali Kampani Due to health reasons.
I learned something in watching this video that I think has made me a little bit more understanding of religion.
She doesn't get those hideous plugs because of some religious view in this case, she got them so people in her tribe could stand out and be unique from people in other tribes. I never even considered that tribes in the past did these sorts of strange practices just to stand out and be separated in some way. It's a matter of pride. So even though some religions do horrible things like tattoo a child's back with sharp rocks in order for his skin to swell like a crocodile's back, it also serves a purpose in helping the tribe stand out. Apparently that's important. I understand a bit now.
There is one tribe in Africa that doest the same thing.
+Bryan Bones
im curious in knowing why you have a problem with his choice of words? I mean I see what you did there a whole lot on CZcams. Is he not entitled to choose whatever words he wants to use as a grown man without someone having a issue with it and trying to correct him. Im not looking for an argument or a debate.
just searching for an answer.
I totally feel you on what you said. It gave me more understanding. I dont agree with it but at least I know now.
+doodelay
Why do you think tribes wanted to differentiate themselves and be prideful? It's still not important but to stroke someone's ego and belittle those that do not do that pointless thing.
People think it's important. Quite frankly there is cultural tradition going the way of the Dodo because they deserve to not be continued because they are just there to enforce an archaic mindset (we vs. them, we are all moral because we wear the right tattos or hats, do that or we throw you out of our community).
The appeal of Western culture is that it protects indiividualism vs. all kinds of this stuff from religion over nationalism over political pressures to such community traditions. If you don't want to none should be able to force you. It also has its flaws, however they do not come close to the protection and relief this can give to people.
If you freely decide to enjoy heavy body modifications, the West doesn't stop anyone from doing that on their own free will, it's essentially en vogue in various sub cultures and goes to fetishistic extremes for some people.
Not so different from many young people today; they want to stand out, be different, and it's a way of identifying. Human behavior!
I love learning other cultures, talking to their elders, to celebrate with them and just appreciate the beauty of everything they stand for.
It is sad that some good cultures are dying off while other unfavorable cultures continue to flourish.
True :(
I've been here in Ziro just few weeks ago. It was a beautiful and cool place. The people were humble and nice.

When she said even her own daughter had had her tattoos removed, my heart broke
The music made this quite eerie. Amazing to see though!
Same here. Letme know if you come across this background score to download.
Very well done short film, loved the music too. Would've liked to hear from the younger generation, or maybe see photos of how these women looked & dressed when they were young, but it was very interesting.

Me too. It must be hard for her, but it also would be hard for her children in very different ways. So I would love to have heard more stories from others as well. And the music, although the audio of this video is way too loud to have the dynamic range it deserves, is very beautiful, I totally agree. ^-^
(I'm a musician and recording engineer, so a bit particular when it comes to sound).
I am a south Indian and I can relate to what that lady is telling in this video. The southern part of India is much different from the northern India. Due to effect of globalisation, our culture got disturbed a lot. The youth of today's India is getting inclined towards the western culture. They don't wear traditional clothes, instead they are opting for the costly, low quality clothes that are made somewhere in the west. They don't speak local languages. They consider English as a superior language than the actual Indian languages. Perhaps in the next 50 years or something, India will no longer be the same as it is now. It is going to look like a mini america or europe
+Phaneendra Boosala That's interesting to see that the young people of India as you said consider English as a superior language. In Indonesia, we think Indonesian is the proper language and if we speak English to our fellow Indonesians, it'd be considered very silly. It also goes the same with other Asian countries like Thailand, China or Japan. But i gotta agree with the traditional costumes. We Indonesians also don't wear our traditional clothes in our daily life, but we still wear modern clothes with traditional pattern though.
+Phaneendra Boosala Bhagwat Gita says "Nothing in the world remains forever. The only thing constant is change"
+Imanuel Aaron Mogie you should learn the language which has more knowledge related content and which can be used communicate with every country.
+Z Jay That change has to be useful and good in the context, which is debatable in India. Just to tell you, the Europe, even engineering journals and papers are in the country's language, English is only used to read papers written by others in English Journals and only the local languages are promoted. The mental colonization in India w.r.t to the west is not a cultural change for the good, its reducing the inherent diversity of the world and bringing in aesthetics, and morals, etc which are not necessarily universal. Westernization is NOT modernization.
Rohit P
So you want sharia law right? western culture is free of lies and open. some people can't stand for it so they blame west.
I had a good friend of mine and he belong to the Apatani community of Arunachal Pradesh Soon post completion of our graduation from Guwahati I haven't meet each other, He was absolutely abstinence in all forms of the social network and I really missing him a lot.

They are Apatani tribe from Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
They are from North East India which share its border with Tibet and Myanmar hence you can get an Idea why do they look so similar with dress of your place in Thailand

This story is very similar to the Atayal of Taiwan. Their culture also seems very similar, facial tattoos, backstrap loom weaving, the iconic diamond eye pattern, it's all very familiar.
Yes, the people in the video have cultures similar to Austronesean, but linguistically they are Sino-Tibetan.

This is both amazing and sad. The diversities in cultures and traditions are dying, but it’s amazing to see how they once were through the last of people who still hold true to their culture.
it's always amazes me to see how other people around the wprld live. its crazy how diffrent people are across cultures, yet we are always so much alike too. can see her genuine sadness of the break away of the norms.such is like grand ma. the world os rapidly changing.
I feel so comfortable and homely whenever i see those faces..as my mother has this too
The reason for facial tattoos, nose plugs and ear plugs were told to me very differently. Well we all should know that the Apatani tribe of Arunachal Pradesh are and considered very beautiful! So the story goes like long ago people from neighbouring tribes or race would be very attracted to the ladies of Apatani tribe so they would most times ask them out or took them by force, so to prevent those things from happing they took resolution to totally change their look. (source: a friend from Ziro) I am familiar with the place shown in video I have visited them and they are very beautiful tribe. But I can't say that I am 100% sure if it's true reason.
Edit: Sorry If it's false information. I wrote what I was told.
I confirm the version as well after being there for reportage purposes
Mac Addison Basumatary this is fact bro
i belong to this tribe and I grew up knowing this version being the reason for the apatani women getting tattoos and nose plugs. 😄 no doubt, ziro is a beautiful place and the apatanis are beautiful people 😄😊

Its must be so hard to see the culture and tradition that you live with for years suddenly gone and not practice anymore by anyone

I am an Apatani and I would like to inform EVERYONE of a mistranslation.
The word "hailyang" and "misang" are generally used to denote any person, culture etc which is not Apatani.
Would you know why the tradition of tattoos was stopped? Need information for a research project.
Deepali Kampani miss I was raised outside of Arunachal Pradesh as my father works in the Indian Revenue Service, so unfortunately I am not well versed in our tribal history.
There are many competing theories but my favourite one is that in the old days men from other tribes used to raid my tribe. So in an effort to minimise kidnappings, they started this tradition to make the girls appear unattractive to the raiders.
I cannot vouch for this theory as it is not proven yet, so I would suggest that the best way is to actually go there and ask the locals, especially the older generation.
@@deepalikampani it was just like any other makeup. Kajal, mascara, lipsticks, bindi, sindoor. Theirs was that way. Difference is tattoo was a permanent makeup. While you can wipe off the other one.
@@habungsama3867 okay. So why have the tattoos and the nose plugs which drastically alter's a woman's face ?
@@riichobamin7612 That's just for an identical distinction from other tribes. As the old Women here has also told that it resembled beauty or may be superiority/pride at that period of time. I saw one last just like this for the first time about 4 years ago. She looked so graceful.
I'm actually fine with some traditions dying, some people in my tribe in Nigeria still practice Scarification. Once one of the older auntie's got invited by her granddaughter to stay with her in America for a few weeks to meet her great granddaughter. One day when her granddaughter and her husband where away, she completely scarified the babies face. The granddaughter was horrified, but it turns out a lot of the scaring can be avoided if medical attention is sought early enough, also she married some white guy so her daughter doesn't scare as easily as a fullblooded Time person would. but the baby's face is still horribly marked up, and ill celebrate the day we finally stop doing this
omg
I'd kill someone if they cut my baby-with or without my permission.
Madeleine but why would u give them permission in the first place lmao
well, you're talking about a tradition that is practiced on babies without their consent. The implication of this video is that the girls go through it young, but voluntarily. Like, when they're thirteen or something. Maybe as a rite of passage. It sounds pretty messed up to scar a baby, and I'd be worried about an untrained person doing something like that. There's nothing wrong with scarification in general though. There are many people here in the US who choose to have it done for beauty, or as a mark of heritage. But it really should be the person's choice, so you're absolutely right to get mad about this incident.
Cj Looklin OMG-did they put her on the first plane back toNigeria after that?!
I think that what makes her beautiful is that she is the living form of traditional beauty in her tribe. She is unique and I can see why she is sad that the younger generations aren't doing these traditions anymore.
love the music and film editing jesus ya'll did a phenomenal job on this i need to know who was behind it
I wanted to cry at the end.. very amotional..
they look similar to those indigenous tribe in Thailand and Tibet.
yes because our ancestors were from Sino Tibetan and Burmese terrains.
smlbcity23 Tibetans don’t have tattoos, or nose plugs or ear plugs. Clearly, you know nothing about Tibetans. Also, Tibetans are Buddhist and historically/ traditionally don’t eat pork or other exotic meat like what people from north East Indian do. There s a huge difference. There are minority tribes in Yunnan province of China that resemble north eastern Indian tribes in dress, looks and culture.
They look similar with some tribes in Taiwan and Philippines.
Yea because we believe we came to India from Tibet
Tibetans dont eat pork? Lmao, what do you know about Tibetans? Tibetans eat everything from cows to pork. Majority of Tibetans are still tribal nomads wandering to one place to another in tents. Tibetans of Lhasa or refugees in india are not the sole representative of Tibetan community.
Apatani is just one of the many tribes of so called Northeast India. Not all tribes have nose plugs or tattoos.
Ofcourse these tribes are genetically related to the tibetan tribes. Just the difference is that Tibetan tribes converted to buddhism while these people remained animistic.
Tibetans and NE Indians share the same haplogroups and are genetically very close.
great stuff wow! come film in the Philippines next, it is so amazing here :)
Nomadic In The Philippines oh you mean film the slum?
Nomadic In The Philippines pinoy
The fact that theyve never heard of T’boli tribe, as well as Manobo, Tausug and all others is already a reason why they should come.. i pity those who only see the slums
Spicy Cactus you are very smart... yes nomads live in the slums.
There's slums everywhere. Not just here in the Philippines. I pity your ignorance.
Fortunately I got a chance to spent a year with Apatanis in Ziro. You people are really beautiful from inside and outside. I always miss those days.
It is still beautiful. I hope more people recognize the beauty.
Wow the fields reminded me so much on my neighbor totoro...
thats sad how a culture just disappears like that
From the looks of things it seems to be a real good thing that the face of beauty over there is changing.
it's good to see how they created a different and unique way to look beautiful.
I have lived in Maharashtra, a western Indian state and know some clans used to have tattoos, some facial ones. One can usually see this tradition dying with the grandma/grandpa of the family. Same is true for the Kutch people from Gujarat. So every state underwent what she is seeing. maybe northeastern parts of India are still remote and isolated so have not completely undergone the changes which she is terming as 'indianisation'
We all are resistant to change, my grandparents who were migrants from the South tried to keep their ways alive. We follow some we like and adapt to others so we can can also relate wiith our non-South Indian neighbours. Adapting to change to make life better should not be considered betraying your ancestors. Because they themselves had picked and adapted to customs to suit their lifestyles. India is a melting pot of diversity. And northeast is not too different from how other places were. They are just located too far from the mainland and are under going the mixing very slowly. All said and done, I would like local languages to survive and hence support having literature, music and art to be preserved with utmost care. That's legacy
Same for here in the Philippines, when it was the old days, plants here were very healthy, no chemicals. And when it came to the 21st century, everything changed. More population, only a few people spend their time reading books and doing outdoor activities. But I somehow luv the change:3
This is unbelievably beautiful. This is haunting my soul. Everything about it.
I love my india from Nagaland
I see her sadness and feel for her pain. But cultures have always changed over the years. only the pace of that change has quickened along with the technology that influences these changes. It's not always a bad thing though, I wish someone would show her pictures of how tribes like hers have influenced many westerners now too. I think that might make her very happy and understand that her ways will never truly die, because...
exactly like archaic humans such as the Neanderthal and the Denisovan live on inside of us to this day, cultures are not wiped out so much as they are incorporated. What we as humans all over the world need to do is simply understand that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Our world can remain colorful, and filled unique beauty for everyones tastes if we can simply accept that not everyone see's things the way we see them.
Peace and prosperity to all of you. ^-^
this tribe themselves decided to move on. I believe education brings this change. Though handmade dresses are really cool. People look happy and comfortable .
I 💜💜💜 this Grandma she is so passionate about her culture.
It's happening everywhere! Change is the nature of this world! You can't run away from it!!
Were losing cultures all over the world. we speak of extinction of animals but what of our peoples? the cultures of the world? these old world cultures are slowly being eroded away.

Watching this enlightens me and also brings tears to my eyes. Such beauty and belief being lost. The world slowly no belonging to individuals but controlled without limits often invisible. The roots lost are one step closer to devasting consequences.
It's always mind-blowing to see things like dying cultures, customs or nature recorder with modern day technology, shared online with all the world. You can really see the two sides to progress.

I live in Ziro for the past 16 years.. It's beautiful.. Good people & nice landscapes to stop by.. Full of life
Since you live in Ziro, you would be knowing about the history of tattos. Why did they stop / ban this tradition? Need information for a research project. Please help. Thanks.
@@deepalikampani i know its late but the answer to your question is simple. The world keeps changing, urbanizing and there's not much we can do about it now.
I travelled from the other side of the world especially to see those old people still alive and make some portraits of them. It's so sad to watch an entire culture dying because youngsters just don't care and are not proud of their own culture and don't keep it alive and well..... When those old people will die, bye bye culture, bye bye interestingness, bye bye tourisme, bye bye money.. And hello boring, hello all-the-same people So sad the younger generation don't understand that.. FIND YOUR ROOTS AGAIN AND BE PROUD ! it is a win-win for everyone.. !
Its easy for you to say. Would you get nose plugs and facial tattoos just because that's a part of a tradition your grandmother followed? Say your hypothetical grandmother with noseplugs never went to school. She never even ventured out if the village. Would you want to same for your life? Would you go to school and travel the world while sporting facial tattoos and nose plugs?

well friend, you are most welcome to visit ziro, arunachal pradesh (india) the land of apatani. Will be glad if you can make it and appreciate our culture which is usually isolated from the mainland indians
take a lot of antibiotics then.
Hey National Geographic, did you check the DNA strands of the Apatani people and match them with DNA stands in Japanese people and South East Asian people??? Does their DNA match with Ainu people and other indigenous people in Taiwan???
Interesting insight. Their face tattoos do have similairities with the indiginous taiwan and even to the new zealand maoris
lol And the Ainu!!! Don't forget them. All throughout the Eastern part of Asia amongst the indigenous/native populations there is the tradition of face tattoos. And with the Maoris as well. I wonder how come researchers having done a report on the culture of face tattoos and is there a DNA connection between them?????
+yuubokumin415 Have you giys seen the tattoes from ancient Alaskan women ? and some Amazonian tribes? they have same patterns down the mouth. How interesting.!!!
Sumaq Llanqha Yeah, I wonder if there was some reseatch done on the connections with all these tattoo cultures???
Aren't Ainu mostly from the north? Okaido island is from the north, right? These island is were most of the Ainu lived. I think that the Ainu look more similar to Australian aboriginal with their frizzy hairs, caucasien shaped head, I don't know.
God bless them!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
My is is really a diverse, vibrant and colourful country... I really love my country.
Radhe Ado I would rather be happy if they dont. Bihari and UP people are a big NO. NE is great I would love to have more politicians from there. Ofcourse, Every Indian respect NE as much as their own state. Jau Hind. Enjoy the best of India
Being Ado NE is very resistant as well, people respect Bhuddis...etc there’s something about everyone, you’re not the only one. I recently started learning about them. Nepalis are side by side with us too.
Being Ado no brother may be some central Indians have lack of knowledge they don't know about their known country
what a beautiful culture
I wish your children get each other to preserve this beautiful culture and inherit as beautiful as it was.
condolences to the old lady
It's sad to see the culture fades away. But, that culture is not that aesthetic to me though (i'm sorry). It's very interesting though that people can be very attaching to what they think is good. They'd think it's bad if their descendants decide not to follow what they think it's good and this video tries to make us feeling the same way.
It's like a girl is considered really bad because she chose not to wear a scarf on her head like her mum does. At the end of the day.. culture, customs, religions or anything should come after your own personal freedom of choice and the right to be accepted for who you really are or who you wanna become.
aesthetic is a noun and nobody asked your opinion on their aesthetic
Imanuel Aaron Mogie i agree with you .. i dont know much about this tribe but i can share my own experience .. i am from north india .. in my village nose piercing is a must for a woman but now a days girls dont like it so they are not piercing their noses... veil system is also there but young women are opposing it too.. so its all about change.. some customs are not apt in today’s time so we have to change them.. India is and will always cherish its customs and traditions but we have to modify these customs and traditions accordingly
how can they breath ?
+Sabi s breathe
Through their mouths?..
don't know that is weird
+devastator walkthrough yeah how do that fucking smell
+Sabi s theplug is not blocking the breathing holes of the nose it's above it
