- In this episode, we travel in our converted Ford transit campervan, with our dog, Twyla to Mt Disappointment, Victoria, Australia. We enjoy a night of free camping at Andersons Garden Campground.
ANDERSONS GARDEN, MOUNT DISAPPOINTMENT
The Andersons, after which this campground was named after an old gold mining family. Being reasonably close to Melbourne, this campsite is quite popular during the busy season. Also because of the excellent trail bike and 4wd drive trails through the park, you will quite often get groups camping here. At the campground, you'll find facilities including composting toilets, wood-fired barbies, and picnic tables.
Mt.Disappointment is located in Mount Disappointment State Forest, just nine kilometers off the Hume and a 70-minute drive north of the city. It's a pretty, grassy campground on the banks of Sunday Creek, which is filled with swimming holes that are ideal for cooling summer dips.
There are plenty of walks to keep you busy, taking in Strath Creek Falls, Sunday Creek Reservoir, and the Summit of Mount Disappointment. If you'd prefer to drive, then jump in your car and cruise along the Mount Disappointment Forest Drive; a three-hour scenic adventure.

Good episode guys and thank you. Always a pity when people do what your neighbors did at midnight, what can i say, some people just have no consideration at all. Well that said I did like the BBQ segment and wished I got those lamb chops i saw at the butchers today as now I'm craving them :) That creek and surrounds certainly looked lovely and yet another place added to my list. I'm a real morning person and if I encounter inconsiderate people that are noisy late at night I get my revenge early in the morning. I make as much noise as I can and god help them if they complain!

Great video guys, unfortunately its apparently a comon problem in the area. Should get a thermometer in the van see how cold it is lol. Grab an echoflow and a few heated blankets to keep toasty and warm.

Really good video guys. Mt disappointment sounds like a Bogan hang out. Great location is great for the safety video. So disrespectful to be loud during the night. Can you report idiots to the Rangers?
If you ever ran out of fire starters but have cottonwool balls and Vaseline you can make a good fire starter.
