Warning⚠️. Everyone just talk about compounding with that same usual 10% accumulated example. But nobody explains how actually it works in mutual fund or stock. In stock compounding never or ever will work because profits are given to shareholders as dividends or stock bonuses or stock splits. In mutual fund I haven't seen any additional nav quantity allotted or my asset value increased due to compounding. In mutual fund and stock, the only thing that we can realise is the asset price increase due to market demand, no other form of compounding affect... Compounding is true as in that example, but i think its not working in this market... 😕

You have to pay capital gain taxes. You can take exemptions for elss funds & few other under section 80C & 80D After that you’ll have to pay taxes on gains.
