  • A lot of home theater videos claim to show something "NEXT LEVEL", but this really does show the NextLevel Acoustics Reference Cinema Speakers!
    Speakers can be one of the most excruciating decisions when you’re building a home theater. They can absolutely make or break the performance of your room. And they’re completely subject to room placement, room construction and treatment, oh, and just every other thing that comes before them in the signal chain. So how do you decide?
    The NextLevel Acoustics Reference Cinema line of speakers is a high-quality, great sounding speaker that fills a void in the market. It’s a cinema-style, MTM horn speaker that doesn’t carry with it a huge space requirement, or a huge price tag.

    Finding a worthy HT speaker that covers all uses has always a trade off game. Maybe these are the ones to have.
    I am glad that you found these blend with your sub well - that's another wrench in the gears of audio.
    I have a pair of 5.25" Polk TSi100 bookself speakers paired with an 8" Emotiva SE8 sub that was easy to blend and a joy to listen to at my desk.
    If only we all could afford to own speakers/systems like you are enjoying. It's what goals and dreams are made of.
    I'm happy that you get to keep these speakers and will fill out your room with that brand.
    All the very best, Kevin

      I haven't listened to any sort of 2ch music on them, so I can't speak to that. Concert Films are generally mixed more like a movie than an album, so it's difficult to say how they would translate. All my true 2ch listening is done upstairs on a completely independent system. Finding an all-purpose system is really next to impossible, there will be a trade-off on music or movies, and you just have to decide which to prioritize.

      @@av_nirvana Yes sir, the perfect All-in-One rig is very hard to find. Luckily, I am happy with the, surely less than ideal, 5.1.2 system in my living room. I have a pair of Emotiva T-Zeros, C1+ center, B1+ side surrounds and a SVS PB1000 Pro fed by an older Onkyo 636 AVR. To me it's on the "just above good enough" scale. Would I like better? Sure do, but "beggars can't be choosers".
      I hope you and your family get to enjoy your new speakers for many years to come.

      Thanks! It’s still a work in progress, and it’s a pain to film in, so I only do it when it’s really necessary.

    Hey great review. Quick question, you mention in the video that you may install ceiling speakers in the future for height channels. The question is, which speakers would you use for height channels that pair well with the Reference Cinema speakers?

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Před rokem

      NextLevel has a whole line of in-ceiling speakers to go through, so I'll be looking at those, but also, just for simplicity's sake, I'm also looking closely at the SVS Prime Elevation which I could easily install in this room without having to run wires through the walls & ceiling.

    Great review! I am a current Triad Gold LCR owner, but previously owned JBL speakers. Something seems to be missing for me with the Triads. Might be time to give these a shot. Are you able to share pricing information?

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Před rokem

      They don't list the price on their website, but a previous review listed them at $2999/ea MSRP.

      Key being "SUGGESTED" price. Reach out to a dealer and see what they quote you.

    You didn't mention price, and I don't see the price listed on their website. That leads me to believe only the rich can afford them. Too bad.

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Před rokem

      They’re not cheap. They’re not out of reach either. They’re not priced on the website because they are only sold through dealers, so dealers set the price. Reach out to a dealer and you may be surprised. Mention our video and you may even get a special offer.
