- Hello & welcome to a new episode, This week's episode we go to a cool #cargraveyard well a scrapyard to be precise haha, this place was quite the eye opener to say the least, ive never seen so many nissan Navaras in my life,very interesting place, not the greatest finds but still something to watch, One thing i don't mention enough is that i absolutely love being a #carhunter there's nothing more rewarding or satisfying to me then finding lost and forgotten classics.

Always amazes me how little it takes for people to scrap a car! That Camry needs saving!!
Plenty of under 1k cars on auto trader, once something goes wrong there scrap unless you can fix it yourself

@@livelife7428 I do fix my own car and maintain it ,but some people can't so cheaper to scrap than pay garage bills .
It'll all change if the ice car ban comes into farce, you'll be seeing people driving around in ever older cars as they either won't by electric or can't afford it.

Love a casual one stu. We don’t need sierras every weekend. You could try doing more of these. We watch the vids for you stu so some scrapyards and re-visits of early locations fine by me if they’re still there. More tractors.

Mad how so many cars some only 10-15 years old aren't maintained and just left to rot,so many sets of alloys there worth half decent money!

Scrapyards like that are becoming rare, today’s kids will never have the fun of climbing on cars stacked 3 high to retrieve a steering wheel or window wider 😂
at 11:46 under The red Peugeot 206, it is a very rare (in the UK) Toyota Innova. A Toyota Hilux based MPV that officially sold mainly in southeast Asia. Several internet people in my country was found a similar spec, but in black (10 reg plate). This car were known for it's durability, just like a hilux but without the 4X4. No wonder me as a people who always seeing this car were asking how on earth it ended up at car graveyard

Just like being thrown back in 80s 90s 3cars high but with mk1,2s escorts, zephyrs etcs😢😅
It’s so strange seeing how most of the cars aren’t wrecked and still have there windows intact and rolled up. In American Junkyards, all the car are totaled and rusty or just the frame of what’s left of a car.😂

To answer a few questions,
Everything you see here has been issued with a COD which means nothing can be sold complete, parts only.
The navaras are indeed part of the scheme, we had about 250 of them, most of the engines went to the Middle East or Africa.
If your in need of parts, I’m happy to help, will work out the best way of contact as the yard owner is not the most tech savvy😅
I spent a big part of my youth wandering around scrapyards, as you say it's a pity you can't do it much now. Thanks for sharing as always Stu.

The navaras are probably there due to the issue with the chassis. A few years back there was a major recall on them as the chassis where snapping at the bed, I'm imagining that the ones there were maybe written off due to cracked chassis I did see one with no bed on it and one that looked like it had snapped at the bed, I'm sure Nissan did a recall and waded plates onto that part of the chassis.
11:46 I was surprised that there's a common NPC car here in the UK.
Here in Indonesia it's very common: it's a 2008-2010 Toyota Innova (or as we call it here 'Kijang Innova').

Maybe not the most 'interesting' video now but as CZcams-videos stay on for 20 years or more, imagine how we're gonna look at this video in 2033. Personally I love any scrapyard walk, it's all about the excitement to find one true gem. In my humble opinion the honour goes to the Toyota Camry. Keep up the good work!

Can you actually re-register this if you restore it?
sadly not, once cars go in the yard, its end of life. Say if it had just come in, and had not gone through the process yet. Then you could offer to buy it, but on another note. Some yards may sell you the full car, as a donor.
Once a car is sitting in its roof it's game over 😅 but the scrap dealer will milk it for all its worth in parts 😉

Hard to imagine that every one of those cars has been somebody's "Pride & Joy". Ordered new from a dealer, the owner counting down the days to taking delivery, full of owners memories & now just abandoned to rot.
I noticed a renault safrane, they were rare in this country new .

Hey Stu, Nissan bought loads back and scrapped them. I bought one knowing it had a recall for £3200 on a Saturday, Nissan inspected it on the Wednesday, offered to buy it back for £5250 on the Thursday 😅😅
Might be worth asking if there still buying them in 😂😂😂😂

Good video mate. Like watching these scrap yards vids. Yea I agree with you the amount of Nissan Navaras is ridiculous but as you said they have a common problem with rust specially at the chassis near the rear canopy not sure if the newer models has been improved or not. Keep up the next vids

Nissan charge a lot for servicing too so some owners may have gave up on some of them.great video stu. Always appreciate the effort you make.
Laugh is i remember when 03 and 04 platers were brand new!! I was expecting to see one escort in there like, from the 90s, and a couple of rovers , Just a metro , two MGFs and a 205 is as far as we got there. Also you saying about the nissan pick ups, the last time i was in a yard, they had about 15 to 20 saxos in, and the funniest thing was, not one had the standard rear lights. All had the lexus style lights. The MGB must have been laid up for some time, a restore project a little too far gone. Also anything MG Rover based id say is classic now. Due to newest ones been close to 20 years old, the MGF is a classic car, but it wont be as iconic as the MGB, mini, metro, minor was, but then again you could say it was rovers iconic car from the 90s to the 00s. Like metro was in the 80s to the 90s,
I think the MG F/TF will survive in greater numbers than the metro because it's last roadster produced by MG, and because roadsters are always more desirable.
@@deanosaur808 already more MGFs than metros, Metros were most scrapped car, A series fell donor to minis, ( a lot of good ones were binned off for their engines) Also the K series ones suffered with rot, the later ones R100 were even worse, and rover pulled them in mid production. The R100 was only in production from 95 till 97. When i was building a vvc mk3 metro, 10 years ago, Trying to get later Mpi bits for it, was a bridge to far sadly. All my local yards had in were Spi and carbs, which were the older models.

Navara's are well known for the chassis rotting and breaking just behind the cab!!
The 06 saab 93 convertible still has mot till march 2024 ,only looks like rear bumper was broken .

I scrapped my mk6 rs2000 10 year ago to free some space up on the drive and it’s my biggest regret in life 😂😂

The graphs on Howmanyleft show a zigzag pattern which indicates they licenced for summer then hibernate (sorn) when summer ends.
However many are left they can't challenge the good old MGB for numbers 🤣

The navaras suffer from broken frame on the back, theirs one in your video that looks like its got a tipper on the back, their was a recall from nissan for this i know someone that had this problem and took nissan ages to get it sorted wether this applies to them lol cheers stokes great content ❤🎉😊
You can buy a proper lazer cut kit of plates to repair the rotting chassis issues on the navaras

Anytime I see a nice BMW or Mercedes you show Stuie I cringe, knowing how much they cost here in the U.S, it is almost criminal seeing them in a scrap yard.
There was a recall on Navaras due to corrosion. They were returned to Nissan to be scrapped.

bet all them navaras and pathfinders are snapped underneath very common i even think they had a recall for weak frames. You can even see on most of the navaras that they have collapesed
Just found this page, one question, why do the cars still have license plates on them? In canada when you trade in for a newer model you keep the old plates to go on the newer vehicle. a few even keep the same old plates over and over again from one car to the next their wholes lives...
Could you share the name of this scrap yard mate? Spotted a VW T25. I’m always on the look out for parts for my collection.
