Jailed | Abandoned BREAKERS YARD, Imprisoned For negligence | IMSTOKZE

- Hello & welcome to a new episode
In this week's episode i head to a well known location to see what all the fuss is about, We go and look at an abandoned breakers yard, The story goes that the owner was imprisoned for negligence due to faulty work equipment, So i'm told.
What an experience in deed, Now before i get heaps of angry messages, This location has been done by the masses which is evident in the video,.
You can clearly see that it has been overrun by most if not all the locals and many others over the years,
Not much has been left untouched, Which is a sad sight to see, It just goes to show that there's not much you can keep a secret for very long.
I'm not entirely sure on the story of why its been subsequently left to the world, but whatever reason it is the owner will certainly not be happy with how its been left.

Some cars arenât even 10 years old. There was an Astra j, fiesta mk7, insignia facelift. Such a shame. Great find
Astra J shite car mk7 fiesta shite insignia facelift dog shit hardly a shame
lancia ypsilon
Early mk7 fiestas are nearly 15 years old and mine with over 200k miles will probably end up in a scrapyard soon.
â@@toolbox777 fix it then
Not far from me in South Wales, owner was jailed for not complying with health and safety at site regarding dangerous structures and forklifts.
was always a popualar breakers when i was growing up.
Always been fascinated by scrapyards since I was a kid. It's getting a bit weird now though as most of the stuff in yards is newer than anything I've ever owned.
That's what I think when I walk round the scrappy now đ€Ł 80%10 plates n newer ill stick to my lat 90s early 2000s motors lol
My new car is 1994 and my old one is 1972. And there are 60 plate cars in the scrapyard?
Most cars to many people in todays world are a disposable item. Even if the fault is repairable, people will decide that taking finance out on an expensive new car is better than repairing the old car.
Iâm obsessed with scrapyards so your not alone
I was born in a scrapyard !!!
Remember, older viewers, when the scrap yard was a Cortina on top of a Wolsley on top of a Vauxhall? We would sneak in and clamber all over. It's miracle none of us kiddies weren't swashed like a pancake! Excellent visit as always.
" Aye, there's a capri down the back somewhere, go have a look yourself and let us know if you need a hand".
I recall crawling under a half.buried Mk1 Capri to loosen the bolts in it's axle. What wouldn't I give for a time machine.
Hi Imstokze,
I can't believe what a place you found!
Something like that brings you back to the 80s. That is now unthinkable here! The environmental authorities would give you 2-3 weeks to clean it up and there would be a hefty fine or jail time. They would take soil samples. You have to remember that 1 drop of oil contaminates 1000 liters of drinking water! It gives me quite a stomach ache when I see the cars turned on their roofs with engines in them! Catalyst stealing is a common occurrence lately! Especially with older Opel models. They're so bold, you're at work and while you're at work they're dismantling the exhaust with the catalytic converter. And that in the middle of the big city!
The video took me back in time like a time capsule!
Great video!
Greetings
Klaus from DĂŒsseldorf
25 years from now it'll be a wow vid if they're still there! Another great vid Stu,thanks.
He only got 12 months in prison so very strange this site has been left like this maybe he made so much money from the buisness he just doesn't care anymore about it.
Definitely worth the 3 hour drive mate great video from the legend himself stu.
Keep up the amazing work fella still my favorite You Tuber.
Still itâs in his better interest to weight in all the cars for metal when the price is high but maybe it will cost him too much to move them all as they donât have wheels on them
@@Alexander_l322 bring in a crane and a crusher. Itâs going to be the environmental aspect that will make it difficult, disposing of oil, old fuel etc.
Sad to see what happened to Ian Seabrook's City Rover. The other sad thing is some of these vehicles don't look like accident damage cars but cars that could have been repaired, guessing emissions failures or slight bump insurance write offs.
Maybe the cost to repair was too much for the owners like dpfs, blown engine etc
@stephen brader true. People see cars as disposable items now. One small fault and it's throw away time.
Pr Broke down ,too expensive to fix , massive mot failure s
Ian only paid ÂŁ200 for it and it was basically worthless , scrapyard best place for It
@Haunted Coachman đ» yeah it was on end of life when he had it and has mentioned that in a recent vlog video.
I canât believe the scrap yard stored tyres inside and the cars outside? Great findâŠ..
Morning Stu â Another great location!! Really appreciate the lengths you go to to give us content đKeep up the good work and DLY đ
0:50 the city rover with the hubnut sticker was owned by a youtuber by the same name I do believe by looks of it
I was thinking that too
It is mr hubnuts Ians old city rover what a shame
@Kris Wilson
Wonder, does Ian know it's been scrapped
I didn't know that!! Wished I did, would have been a bit extra to talk about
That is indeed HubNutâs old City Rover! He bought it for ÂŁ200 from
Birmingham a few years ago now.
i miss the old scrap yards, were you could walk around
You should add more exploring abandoned buildings will be loads of building houses to explore in the places you go
I know its been done before Stu, but its not about who does it first its about who does it best...... and you're way ahead of the competition â€
Good video stu ....wounder how much they got for all cats of the cars thou plus cats left on cars on deck they could not get to
Wounder what story of place is as well
Keep up the good finds buddy
Hey Stu you may be the last to get to this joint but youâre always the best, stick with it Bruv.
Thanks for taking the time đȘ
Stu another great location well worth the visit thanks again for sharing đ
Another great video stu keep em coming matey đđ
The structures that are left behind look amazing. Some of the cars are amazing as well, I wish I lived close by.
Another great location Stu keep them coming đ
Another gr8 vid Stu, such a shame why theres so much been totally trashed!!đ
Fantastic video. You always do a great job đđŒđ
Cracking video again Stu, looked like quite a big location. I was also wondering why nobody had been looking after the site, imagine the sheer amount of value that has been destroyed/stolen whilst the owner isn't around. Keep up the great work brother.
Great video stu some amazing finds shame itâs been trashed đą
Another Amazing Video Stu thanks Brother Keep Strong We Are All With You đđđŹđ§
Oh my that is so heartbreaking and sad sight to see all those classics all rotting away great video
Loved the video. Keep up the good work. Shame seeing all them nice cars wrecked

That yellow tt had some good bits on it lowering springs etc, the front anti roll bars fetch a pretty penny too đ keep up the good work stu
3:05 That's some kind of Pump / Engine House.
What an amazing building to have worked in tho
Make a nice shop if it were cleaned up
Llanbradach Caerphilly for anyone wondering
That is an amazing location most of the cars are newer than my daily đ. Donât worry about it being done before I donât watch other so called explore videos. Keep up the good work đđ
A most intriguing site indeed with so so many vehicles. Good luck on the next one đđ
Stokze you have done it again mate another great video more great content shame kids had vandalised it and thieves had been and had their way with the site but still great content keep up the brilliant work mate look forward to the next video
Wow thatâs been some scrapyard!! Sad as it is to see the remains of cars itâs equally sad to see those huge buildings in that state ⊠wonder what they were used for originally? Presumably not designed for filling with tyres!!
Odd that nobody is looking after the site âŠ..
Great video đđ
Great video stu, unbelievable all them cars, I know there scrap cars but a shame to see whatâs been done there đ© keep it up mate đ
Locked up for 12 months in Nov 2021 so looks to have just abandoned it since getting out.
Awsome video đč stu once again đ
Great video as always, good find. Richard
You have said it before. Everyone in the UK has too much money and gets rid of things like Insignias which some are not even 10 years old. In Spain and Greece, West Africa, you see people still driving in cars from late 80s to early 90s
They probably let scrap yards reuse spare parts over there whereas here they do anything to make you buy a new car instead. I can't even get a replacement engine management board for a 2019 Ranger, the only one I found available and ended up buying turned out to be different.
Just the amount of tons of scrap there must be crazy, the whole place was literally scrap though.. lol. Great video Stu, even though no classics this time mate..Alex.
Cool video stu and think good thing to feature abandoned scrapyards cars ,to think the kids running riot vandalizing all those cars such a shame and over a long time too...feel sorry for Mondeo owner on the ramp ,awesome m8 đđđđ
The long wheel base iveco would have made brilliant contain for a camper conversion..just brilliant well worth watching
Great vid as always Stu đđ
Top job Stu đ€đ€
Nice one Stu, worth the visit, even with a 3 hour drive.
Youâd have been kicking yourself if you didnât go when you had the chance mate đ.
Good content Stu certainly a good amount of cars there to look at shame the idiots have been there doing their things, that place has been abandoned for a good while the guy must be doing a fair amount of bird and like you said he will be pissed when he gets out
Morning Stu
Excellent video - shame there were no real classics there - I'll be visiting a place soon that has mostly v dubs but with a few jems mixed in aswell - lookin forward to Wednesday's Video - take care & stay safe out there brother
i most definitely enjoyed the vid my brother as always thanks for your hard work to entertain us till the next one stay safe âïžđ
Stokezy Time....almost 11pm here in Nanoose Bay....settling down with a cold one....
Thanks brother, keep being awesome đđŒ
Love the vids ladđ€đ»
I agree why has no one taken up the scraping business while MR BIG is inside guess perhaps the whole team are in the same cell probably some interesting body parts under those tyres! Real shame people like to smash things would have been interesting to see what it looked like before the mindless people got to destroying and ransacking the place. Thanks for the 3 hours travel I enjoyed the video!
Stolen cars I rekon
Morning stu great explore mate another famous CZcamsrs car is I that scarp yard right at the start of the video
This is amazingđźđźđź
At the start of the video, that's the famous Rover CityRover that used to be on the HubNut channel, Han Solo! It was one of his better cars. That's really sadđą.
Yea I actually know where this scrapyard is because I used to use it with my uncle, but the guy that ran it was reported to HSE because of dangerous buildings and as you said fork lifts, he only got 12 months in prison, so I am guessing he abandoned the site because of no funds to sort out the health and safety issues
Cracking video mate
đș
Great video stu only a couple of miles from me đ
Sad to see the Rover Metro there , a rare car nowadays.
Hi stu looks like the dwarf is getting alot of stick on his channels đgreat video bro
I used to use this place when I was younger. It was operating a few years ago. The site is an old Colliery.
Is this in rotherwas?
Good vid. Definitely interesting subarus there. I'm in the middle of fixing my impreza and this makes me sad to see that one. Wonder when the guys out as I'll offer him something for it đ
How wasteful are we as humans?? with new car manufacture, pushing towards unclean electric vehicles just because they have no exhaust emissions yet really impact the planet -look at all these cars, most of which are newer than mine⊠Should still be on the road. Whatâs going on anyway⊠Intriguing video
Did you ask if there were any Mk5 Golfs in đ€Łđ€Ł unreal location bro, love a rummage round a breakers!! đ
This is reasonably local to me and remember going there when it was a working yard. Was always full of old Fords XR's etc. The Police are up there regularly catching vandals etc.
Where is the location of this id like to explore and have a good look at some cars please
Beautiful sky and a place full of treasures
The sad thing is 99% of the cars there are at least 10 years younger than any of the cars that I own.đ
That's Ian Hubnut's old City Rover.
Wow đźwhat a shame stu, great post I think and as you said why isn't someone looking after the place while he is in prison and what do they get out of wrecking the place, đąđą
His scrap metal license will have been revoked when he was locked up, so there's no way the site could have continued to operate.
Someone would have had to start it up from scratch in their own name and you can bet that before they were issued a licence, they'd have had to address all the safety failings he hadn't - so they'd need to put their own funds in, to kick that off.
@@wurlyone4685 you would think still someone would still check on the place, it's crazy I think that it's been left open for anyone to take what they want, but also he shouldn't have been a naughty boy lol
@@kevinhaigh3962 when you read the way he clearly had complete disregard for the basic safety of his staff and customers, I suspect he isn't the kind of guy that had many people who were particularly close to him...
Thanxs stu for this amazing footage.
Some cars as the Mazda 6 ar from late 2008.
Becareful what u explore.
Well worth the drive what a place!!
This is a really good findđ
Been years since I've been to a scrapyard! Some interesting stuff there
Keep it going mate đ
Used to love a good scrappy
Iâm a Subaru Fan âŠ. And man that Subaru looks like the Turbo charged version of the Impreza estate. Wow this find is incredible and the Vauxhalls âŠ.etc đźwell the guy/ owner needs to get some kinda of Money out these things
Good video though Stokzeđđđđ
looks like a replica, or even a UK2000 so nothing special either way.
best place for it if it's a UK spec.
good video mate
Was that Ian Seabrooks City Rover?
I think it was bud
Love it
The City Rover at 0:57 used to belong to a CZcamsr called HubNut
Really interestin to see these abandoned places an their stories đ
Like watching your videos your the best mate love the cars they need saving
cannot beat a good old car scrap yard i feel a good find just think about the owner when he comes out of jail lol keep up the good work imstokze đđđ
The owner is not in jail. He is currently in talks with the environmental agency to get the place cleared
Thanks Stu. I will always big you up, because you make me do it with great uploads and amazing editing. Iâm catching up a couple Iâve missed tonight. Mrs is out with her mates, my daughter is off to the pub(23) and my boys are playing fort nite on the PlayStation. Iâm gonna spend 30 mins of quality â me time â watching you, then spend an hour being an a$$hole on gta 5đđŒ. Life is goodđđ»â€
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł mate I'm exactly the same on Gta! I l9ve a good old police chase đđ
That Pug 207 reg DV08UTA MoT expired in 2022 and the Audi on the ramp seems to have a false plate,, many cars had expired Mots but no advisories
its called longlife spares
Great video Hello from Gilroy California we got lots of spots out here that would make you cry đ
Hopefully, I'm heading that way this year, fingers crossed
@@ImStokze It would be expensive so if you do come over I have a Airbnb Located in Morgan hill California you can stay in for free to help with traveling cost Iâll keep a eye out for the video that says where going to America !!!
@@ramseshernandez3332 Donât you still have to be repeatedly jabbed to get into the USA ?
@@allseeingotto2912 Iâm not sure
Nice weather
Got to shout out the hub nut sticker on the rover city! Great work as usual bud.
That is Hubnuts old Rover!
I didnât realise! A shame but canât save em all I suppose.
@@ollysimpson1490 True unfortunately. Slight hope is that the doors being removed is a sign that it has been used to repair another one. Hubnut knows about it and is saying the same thing about not being able to save them all
@@retrolover1990 Why was it sent straight to a EOL destruction yard instead of being parted out if it was a collector? It seems there is no future for owning classic cars.
@@charlotteclarke4665 From memory Hubnut who owned it sold it on to someone as a spares and repairs car after quite a bad MOT failing, on the understanding that to make it road worth again there was some serious work involved. I'm guessing the work involved became too much or too expensive to justify and unfortunately it ended up being scrapped. Hubnut himself has said that after he found out about this video, he ran a check on the car and it had never been back on the road since he sold it. I agree with what you're saying about the future of classic cars but Rover is a bit of a difficult one as parts, particularly model specific parts, are not that easy to come by and the City Rover wasn't very successful for Rover before their collapse so not many survive.
I am very surprised that the local council has not been in there and cleared the full lot out, due to safety and environment concerns. Or the owner been told to clear it, before he was jailed.
Absolutely brilliant video stoksey â€â€đ aren't they bastards trashing cars like that waw was gone smacked brilliant
Morning Stuđ
Iâd love to go with a battery and see what starts. Nice location mate
thanks stu its a great rainy day today so im binge watching again top man if these vehicles were rd 350 lcs trust me they would be saved
The old buildings look interesting. Shame the place has been left to rot
Did I miss a video or was I dreaming it.
Something about beard explorer.
Brilliant video, shame they've let it go to waste, some sort of upkeep at least, where is this? Interested in the railway side if the video too, old rails still can been seen
Amazing video shame people had to ruin the place.
