Finally getting to sit and watch the whole of this after the move and everything. Thanks for the kind words and your time that weekend! Looking forward to our next meet up!
And likewise brotha! Thanks again for coming down
Great Video! Thanks for sharing your insights to help us improve our game!
My pleasure, and I appreciate your support!
Love it! Nice to see improvements even at that skill level.
Great video. Excellent throwing, Cam!
Thanks!
The way you explain the physical dynamics of form is not like any other coach. Love it. Keep posting!
@@vega1221 I’m glad to hear that, and thank you for the support!
I’ll need to try out some of those drills. I’ve got consistent 380-400 golf distance and hit a new PB this past weekend. I sent one about 15ft deep on a 475ft(according to UDisc) hole. I do have further throws but they are all throwing down a decent hill. First time I’ve been close to 500 on flat ground.
Good luck and let me know how it goes!
That one at 8:50 was whippy with a lot of spin. His wrist looked elastic.
Agreed! His throwing arm and hand mechanics were super dialed in
Super cool to see behind the curtains! Camoff has gone so far 🔥 what he meant around 5:20 that he is pushing back/ rising throught the finnish?
It was mainly pertaining to the right leg pushing his body up through the release point, but because the right leg (brace leg) is at an angle, he could feel the sensation of the braking forces pushing back against his body as well.
What nick said
If you could name the most impactful thing or two that got you from 400 to 500 what it could be? Besides calling to Nick Krush obv 🔥
@pisteville7797 really for me it was commitment to solid practice regularity. There isn't a magical fix for most things. But dedicated focused practice goes a long way. My biggest things to work through were smaller stride and nose angle (which is what I was working on with nick)
Love to hear that your form work is starting to pay off.
Can't wait till I get healthy again an finally find my old form and re break 500, and hopefully soon ish exceed 550.
You'll get it back, you've already got the blueprint from doing it previously 👍
You mentioned his shoulder stays internally rotated - can you elaborate on what exactly you're looking at, and why that's a good thing?
When I'm analyzing footage, I am looking for where the elbow is pointed as a clue to the degree of internal/external rotation at the shoulder joint (humerus head). We don't want to go into too much external rotation near release because it can cause a lack of elbow extension and positive nose angles.
Nice. I'm stuck at like 300. I know I am throwing nose up and constantly on hyzer - saw this on a tech disc. Not really sure how to fix it though lol.
Scott Stokely has a good video on nose angle, I’d check that out. Regarding not throwing on hyzer, I focus on shifting weight into my heels and leaning back a smidge when I throw an anhyzer shot
I started working on exploding off the front leg. It seems too cause my hips to snap through the rotation. I'm still chasing 400. I know I have it in me after my last session but I've gotta get the correct line and full flight
100% you've got it in the tank. It usually takes a couple of sessions for the body to re-time everything and then you start throwing bombs 👍
When you're throwing max distance do you release on a hyzer that turns over. Or do you release a overstable disc flat/anhyzer?
@@hbloops understable discs usually have more glide so if your body tolerates hyzer release, it can generally produce longer flights
@@NickKrush.DGandFit Makes sense, thanks!
@@hbloops you're welcome :)
Do you leave your arm loose and use your body to throw or is the arm involved some?
@@Gh0stz9211 interestingly, the sensation varies a lot from person to person but generally you want to have the shoulder pull the elbow forward pretty fast but keep the wrist and hand pretty loose. The whole body will be used to help pull the arm towards the target 👍
@@NickKrush.DGandFit makes sense thanks! I was trying to use only my legs and body no shoulder or arms to throw yesterday and kept hyzering and throwing nose up but maintaining my usual distance. Stuck at 300 max with most being 270 consistent
@@Gh0stz9211 you're welcome!
What age do you think we're distance starts to decrease.
It will vary wildly from person to person based on genetics and lifestyle, but I feel we can maintain our top distance up to anywhere from 35-45 years old if we take care of ourselves. There have been some world-class sprinters that were running well up through age 40.
Although this stuff is definitely fascinating to watch, there’s not a single course near me where throwing 500’ has any practical use.
Having more power means longer and safer hyzers.
Also means you can disc down to putters for 300 etc. And have more predicted flights
