It's true, there is no wrong way to continue this musical journey of discovering Nightwish. I was glad to see you among us again!
Welcome back to Nightwish, unfortunately it's been a while since your last reaction.
Honestly, I don't care which song you react to from them, because you're going to hit my favorite song with every choice.
The crowd likes to follow Floor everywhere, because with her personality, her positive charisma, and her joy on stage, she takes everyone into this wonderful world of music that is so far away from all the worries. I think I can judge that after 34 Nightwish concerts.
I LOVE it when someone with a solid musical background reacts to Nightwish…and they can appreciate all the little finesse details.
To me, Marko and Floor’s voices together is one of the most perfect vocal pairings there’s ever been.
I know, its why I hope that Marco returns one day. The way their voices blend and can swap midway its like a vocal slight of hand

Marco and Floor were born to meet and sing together they really push one another vocally ......theres so many songs that they sing together ....sometimes him as the main vocalist and her background.......

There is such underlying joy in this band. Their love for the music that they are playing is so very obvious. There is a shot in this video of Kai (the drummer) just smiling away while his is playing. Makes me happy just to see that. You know, since you like the bass player/vocalist (Marko) so much, you might like to listen to a song where he takes the lead. There are several to choose from. My favorite is "The Islander" (live at Tampere), but there is also "Kiss While your Lips are Still Red"(Wembley), "High Hopes"(end of an era) and, another absolute favorite of mine "Endlessness."(No live performance, but the video is gorgeous). But, in any case --- more Nightwish please. Your reactions are so good, and I just love it when you analyze one of their songs.

I concur. Endlessness is so beautiful and fitting last song for Marko to sing with Nightwish and While Your Lips are Still Red shows off Marko's sweet, emotional side of his voice. It's a beautiful ode to innocent young love.

Great Reaction. Fantastic closing song. Has one of my favorite Nightwish lyrical lines. "It is hard to light a candle, easier to curse the dark instead." Inspired by roller coaster rides, The song is a fantastic celebration of life and living in the moment. Appreciating all that is before us. Incredibly uplifting. When I saw them live in Boston in May 2022 this was one of the songs near the end of the setlist (Last Ride of the Day, Ghost Love Score, Greatest Show on Earth, Ad Astra movement from All the Works of Nature which Adorn the World). Such an inspirational end to a concert. I left with tons of energy and motivated to live my best life. I will recommend two of my favorite Nightwish songs. Dead Boys Poem live from Buenos Aries and Shoemaker. For Shoemaker the lyric video is my favorite because of the visual that added even more epicness to an epic song and you can hear all the complexities of the music but the live performances from Hellfest or Deichbrand in 2022 are pretty amazing as well. When the Human Nature album came out the band said they weren't sure if they could perform it live but they have and it is stunning.

You are already hyped for the song before they really get going! Then on the other side of that is her really sweet open arms gesture. She is welcoming you into the moment to experience it with her. Marco's singing and harmonising is often commented on, but let's also deal with the fact that he does it while producing that flawless baseline.

Lovely reaction, Liza. I just love this band. 🙂 Floor is an enchantress, and the whole band is incredible .... they make me grin like a maniac one minute, then bring tears to my eyes the next. Keep up the Nightwish reactions, and I for one, as a new subscriber, will enjoy watching this journey of discovery. I think you would enjoy "Shudder Before the Beautiful" and "7 Days to the Wolves" (both live at Wembly, 2015). For something more emotive, but vocally stunning, try "Sleeping Sun" (at Masters of Rock) or my personal favourite, "Dead Boys Poem" (live at Beunos Aires). Great work liza! This song is soo good and absolute great way to end concert. Check out their opening/fist song of set list from their latest tour 2022-2023 "Noise", example this "NIGHTWISH Masters Of Rock 2022 Noise & Tribal REMASTERED" from Nightwish Arena. Same festival but year 2022:)

Yes, Floor is a force of nature, and seeing how big on nature Tuomas is, it makes her a perfect fit for Nightwish. And then you add Marko to the mix, he and Floor whips up a hurricane of beautiful sound waves.

Great analysis! Keep on diving freely Liza but keep the poet and the pendulum and the greatest show on earth on the back burner for a little while longer. As a vocal coach you might enjoy 7 days to the wolves.
Nightwish as a group, Tuomas as a composer and Floor as a singer are all out of the top drawer. So much of Tuomas work is covered and so many good covers are out there. Sound out Andra Ariadna’s last ride of the day. In my view Andra is the fourth Nightwish singer Tuomas never had.
The Nightwish Army general Gabriel Bardac must have given you lots of suggestions in your earlier reaction, but if you prefer to select some bangers:
