    As a French Canadian girl, the title should be French Canadian Girl (because "French girl" is more a girl from France we will say that) but the movie is really good ! Loved it 🫶🏻

      I was going to comment this too, because as a European, a French girl is from France and Quebec is in Canada. They are not French and nobody has ever called Celine Dion French.

      that's great! I recommend getting a head start on your french asap 👍 Québec has some special rules for immigration that other provinces do not like priority for french speakers. Furthermore, this will open up a whole world for you. Otherwise you'll pretty much be confined to live west of St. Laurent Blvd in Montreal. À bientôt! 😉

      Don’t do it. Very anti-English everything. Check out Bill 96 and everything François Legault/the CAQ government/any separatist says about English speakers (whether they are born here or not). Just a very accurate warning!!

      Don’t do it! Very anti-English everything. Check out bill 96, François Legault/CAQ language politics/the OQLF/anything any Québec separatist has ever said about English speakers (whether born here or not). In short, if you are English (or now bilingual), they don’t want you here. Just a fair warning!!

    I liked the quality and cast performances overall. Great surprise cameo appearance midway. It was no better or worse romantic comedy that i personaly saw. 9/10, mainly because i'm very tired of watching crazy action over the top violent movies. This one is for laughing, relaxing and hoping that it all ends well, cause there's a few chaotic and challenging moments, LoL.

      @SonOfBaraki359 In Canada we call english speaking people "english" and we call french speakin people "french" too ahah it’s just a way of speaking! It’s because we are separated by language and there is often conflict of divergences so we say ahhh those damn english or ahh those damn french or what ever! So it’s a Canadian thing don’t take offense

    The way that NO ONE in their right mind would say that Vanessa Hudgens is a better singer than Celine Dion, MUCH LESS a Quebecois just took me right out of the fantasy and makes me side-eye the whole movie 😒😒😒

    • @vueport99
      @vueport99 Před 3 měsíci

      if you've heard how Dion butchered most songs she covered, then it's not that much of a stretch that someone can be better than Celine. Of course, I'm not saying Vanessa is a good singer by any means. The way Dion killed an Air Supply classic, and then butchered it! (The Power of Love) The Laura Branigan cover is Much Better. I dunno if it's Celine's voice or French accent or bad vocals.
      I'm just glad I'm not a sound engineer who had to sit through all the hours in the studio smoothing out her voice. The raw tapes may be very jarring. Go take a listen to Laura Branigan's version. That's TV footage, no fancy mastering, sound engineers etc.

    Why create Canadian content if you're just going to mimic American romantic comedy? The notion that anyone is meant for anyone else is absurd and wastes lives. These two didn't belong together from the first place, and it was highly disappointing to see them stay together instead of finding happiness in their own individual pursuits.
