The Desiro High-Capacity (HC) trains are produced in our facilities in Krefeld, Germany. These regional trains are being manufactured with German precision and expertise. Every step is carried out with meticulous care. From design to assembly, from the integration of state-of-the-art technologies to the final quality control. Every detail is monitored to ensure that the trains meet the highest standards.
The trains symbolize an advanced mobility solution that propels Egypt into a new era of growth and development, creating 40,000 local jobs. 160 km/h is fast, but not high speed 😢

The video only shows the regional trains with 160km/h max speed. Additionally to those, Egypt bought Velaro trains for high speed travel, those are much faster. If I’m correct

The project consists of 41 Velaro, 94 Desiro HC, and 41 Vectron. Velaro is a high-speed train with a speed of 230 km/h, Desiro HC is a regional train with a speed of 160 km/h and the Vectron is a locomotive train with a speed of 120 km/hr.

I will tell you that we do not need more than these speeds because the difference between each station on this railway is not 45 or 90 or 110 km and this is in regional terms As for the expressway it is 230 speeds and we do not need more than that The distance between the main stations does not exceed 150 km The interdistances A task to determine the speed of the train
