Brilliant summary of things to look out for. Even in Europe, with the craze of duesel scandals and stuff, 3.0D still reigns supreme with reliability and sales.
My favorite Buying Guide episode so far, in retrospect I now think we should have bought the F15 X5 30d instead of the G01 X3 20d, not that there's something wrong with the X3 but the X5 is just much better. 👌🏽 😂 😂
Love these buying guides,....not sure if i missed it but should've addef that this particular 30d is estimated to do 1400km on a full tank with civilized driving obviously 😂.
I think the reason why F15 BMW X5 didn't receive a face-lift (LCi) is because it was basically an evolution and big face-lift (LCi) of the previous generation E70 BMW X5.
Replaced all 3 Turbos on my m50d due to excessive carbon Buildup caused by the DPF and EGR. Cost R80k to fix Still drive the car today...was still worth it. Very little keeps up with the m50d. And fuel economy around 8l/100km while having 290kw under the foot is a pleasure.
A BMW with 3+ turbo's can: - Only be bought brand spanking new - If bought used, with total comprehensive warranty & insurance plan If these 2 above rules are not followed, pain is what will be your portion owning such a vehicle.😂😂
@@itumelengmahaole5890 one thing I noticed about this channel and it's content they only show the basics. They don't show major things like timing chains and labour costs, pricing of tyres (which is north of 10k for each rear tyre I think) if your starter starts giving trouble it's not so expensive but to get it out of the engine maybe a slight problem. This one video they did of the polo tsi they recommended but speak to polo owners about long term ownership they say it's a nightmare especially that DSG gearbox
@@nqobilemahlaba2230 north of 10k? Sheeesh!!! You're right about the DSG boxes, long term ownership is a nightmare and repairing them isn't cheap at all.
3L diesel engine is epic in all bmw models.
I would definitely search for a X5 30d.
Love these guides.

30d is the way to go. 190/195kw is plenty enough
Loving these vids. Hoping you can do one on a 2nd Gen Cerato Koup

Would love an x3 take for similar production years please

3min 40 excellent comparison I used to think that lol 4.0 4l etc love the new presenters
You can get covers for the door handles from takealot under R500 or so. Looks OEM and nothing needs to be taken out, just cover over the handle
U guys are the best❤❤love this new show.
In Zim and Swazi we can import the 35d with the twin turbos from Japan basically a 40d
N57 is a gem

1:14 is all the facts 😂😂
Brake and Tire wear is dependent on how you drive. Not how much power your car has

This was very helpful and informative.
Eish I hear you but the e39 m5 at the backroom looks superfresh
easy...you DON"T
For every reason you shouldn't, there are 10 why you SHOULD!!❤
I drive and service my own x5 3.0D for years not one problem and it has over 230k on it
oem mark up is a real pain
Front control arms costed me R30k 5 years ago
From the agents?
@@itumelengmahaole5890 yes.
Review that E90 please
Please do a Mazda 6 MPS
BMW will advise you to get the 30d instead of the 40d, 50i, or the 50d
they are plenty 30d
M50d for me
These cars are expensive yohh. R32k worth of repairs we haven't even added the monthly installment nor the service plan. Hell no!
Any Suspension issues with the F15??
Your gear box needs service as well
Thank goodness under maintenance plan? Thank goodness I'll never buy one.
Didn't the M50d have 4 turbo's pushing 294 kW and 760 N.m?
This year model M50d had only 3 turbos...
The F15 had 3 turbos. The initial G series X5 had 4 turbos but those are discontinued.
😊
I wished you put the pricing of tyres for that car
Is it bad?

I wouldn't touch a used BMW with a 10 foot pole 🤭
Not a nice looking BMW.
What wrong with your Hans please stop moving your hands 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
🙈👋
Polo GTI next please 😁
