In this video I make a soap dish using 1/2" acrylic & Bondo, in a totally DIY old school style! Since we are shooting a tv show in the shop, I have limited time to set up the printer and to prepare a 3d model .. so in between takes, I made this model by hand, then the silicone mold, and then the castings using Total Boat high impact resin - Enjoy!

Awesome, I love how those silicone moulds can really let you cast whatever you want.
I kept waiting for him to put the soap in with the logo down so the letters in the dish would sit in the letters on the soap and keep it from sliding around... alas that satisfaction will never happen.

Fabulous, made spectacular as you did it when most others would have been sat with coffee and resting & with all the slopes by hand yet to eye the same. With my home made soap I set it on a slab of foam that allows it to dry with a drain for the water & it lasts longer. Motivational as it shows with a bit of effort something unique and personal can be made in little time. Thanks for sharing!

Nice as always, but may i suggest adding drain holes? that would help the soap bar last longer by reducing its exposure to water contact

There are reasons for putting a reversed logo on it, but they’re not entirely convincing - so I’ll say it’s either a mistake, class A trolling, or both.
I think it has to do with the camera or I missed something entirely.
I think it's so the Diresta soap bar can slot into it directly.

if you notice at the end, he puts it in there and it kinda stamps DiResta into the bottom of the bar.
No matter what soap you put in, it DIRESTA soap.

The process for getting the lettering inside the dish is very instructive. For sure I would have forgotten to reverse the letters on the first try.

So curious do you find that sink being mounted under the board makes it difficult to clean that crack?

What is the white hard plastic? You used in the beginning? and the glue (gray mixed meterials) is that car body filler?
