- Had this dude just start tailgating for no reason. Caught up to see what was going on. He was just driving poorly in general. Wanted to show him that he can’t touch motorcycles.

Don't see what the big deal was about the Ford? He pretty much ignored you then you cut between him and the Subaru for no reason. I don't get it.
He was tailgating me for a while. Then came up to within a few feet of my bumper. Remember - the camera makes everything look really far away compared to real life.

Petty for the motorcycle guy to turn what might have been a driving mistake into a confrontation. And then doing an illegal pass between a merging car and the traffic flow. He endangered everyone around him with his little pissy fit. The real macho answer to the problem was to be an adult and accept that people make judgment errors and carry on with your day as if nothing happened.
Dude wasn’t making a judgement error - he had been tailgating me for miles - and got to within feet of my bumper there. Remember - the camera makes it look a lot further than it really was. Dude was on one.
I especially liked the part where you gave him the business. you don't own the road cause you're on a bike, my guy.
Lmao. Guys like this need to see that they can’t touch a bike. They often feel rewarded by their bad behavior. That just encourages it more.

@@SeattleSpeed I’m 62 and have kept myself alive riding for my hole life including the last 46 years on road. I really don’t want anything bad to happen to you, people are different now they’ll purposely hit you, run you off the road, or possibly use the pew pew on you all for only pulling up next to them and giving them a look they don’t like. No amount of my experience, your experience, or anyone’s experience will protect you if someone wants to do you harm especially when you’re right next to them.
@@boosted. what are you talking about saying there’s nothing I can do to not get hurt? I use speed and skill to avoid bad drivers. That’s literally what I did here. I split away from this guy in a way that makes it impossible for him to follow.

So, tell me if I'm wrong, but you were in the left lane, which supposedly is only for passing, someone else going faster is coming behind you, you have a lot of space to move to the right and let him pass, but yet, you chose not to.
He is a total @sshole for tailgating and coming so close to you, but you're also an @sshole for not moving to the right, and not letting someone who wants to go faster, pass you.
A few points. I was in a special HOV / toll lane. Not just the “fast lane”. This happened at a section where the HOV actually had two lanes - with one of them exiting. I had no option to leave that lane unless I wanted to be back in main traffic.
Also I was slowing down because traffic was slowing to a stop in front of me. You can see at one point in the video that there is a car almost fully stopped in front of me.
Also this dude was actually about a foot or two from my bumper at one point. Keep in mind the camera makes it look even further than it really was. This guy was putting my life in danger while I tried to slow down because of stopped cars in front of me.
@@SeattleSpeed Ok, knocking so near to your bumper was not a good act, but when he started to ask to pass (at 0:03) you weren't in the special lane, and when he decide to overtake you at left there was no reasons to interfere speeding up (at 0:25). Sorry bro, I'm a biker, often a too fast biker, but in this situation I don't agree
@@satured yeah it’s the tailgating. Dude was so close I could almost touch him. He doesn’t need to do anything else. That was big bad. He did it because he was frustrated I wasn’t going faster. He did it while I was slowing down for traffic too. Trying to keep me from being able to safely brake for stopped cars in front of me. The reason he took off was because he was trying to avoid the stopped cars… I wanted to just go say hi and remind him that he isn’t “winning” since he seemed to think traffic was a race.
There’s nothing he can do to “win” against a bike. See later in the video he was tailgating the car in front of him trying to get ahead and to block me from coming over? Dude is a mad bad driver tbh.

Changing lanes and going around you is road rage? I don't like tailgaters either but slowing down like that on a highway will have that effect.
Go read the other comments. 1. Dude wasn’t just lightly tailgating. Was almost close enough to touch. 2. I had to slow down because traffic was stopping in front of me. If you agree with this guy - turn in your license.

Why? Good potential to needlessly escalate things with a person you'll probably never see again. People are crazy these days and have been killed for less. Particularly in the place you call home. This from a person that has been riding for 20 years

@@fokuz02I definitely didn’t escalate anything. Being around someone isn’t escalation. Notice I didn’t try to tell them off or brake their mirrors. Just reminded them they can’t touch a bike.
@SeattleSpeed what you did was antagonize. Just remember, you aren't with bumpers, and you can be run over. Reality has to set in at some point.

@@SeattleSpeed I'm typing this using a mouth joystick because I'm a quadriplegic. I was hit by a negligent driver three years ago. Before that I was an electrician and a volunteer firefighter. I've seen brains from a cocky motorcycle rider, much like yourself, spread out on the pavement. So no I'm not mad, just laughing actually because you think you're invisible. You think driving like that to " Show other drivers that motorcycles can't be touched", Is worth your life?! What kind of statement is that anyways? Two wrongs do not make a right especially on a motorcycle, and only a child would bring a motorcycle to a car fight. At least you can say that you "have skills" to all of the pretty nurses when you're laying in the ICU bed. Take it from somebody who is paralyzed from the shoulders down, you will be lucky if you💀

Literally in a toll lane you’re not allowed to leave except for at certain exits. And I was slowing down for traffic that was stopping in front of me. You’re criticizing me for something that didn’t happen.

Cars were stopping in front of me.. so I was thinking about it. And the dude who was trying to climb inside me cut someone else off and did exit there. I followed him to see what was up after that…
But normally if there’s traffic there it clears out and then the toll lane is faster again. So sometimes you just wait it out.

You said earlier that I was “impeding traffic”. I wasn’t. I’m not obliged to exit that lane. I don’t have to move over from that lane because someone else wants to go faster - it’s not the left passing lane.
You seem to think I was going slow in the “left lane” to “impede traffic”. That’s not the “left lane”. It’s the toll lane. And I was slowing for traffic in front of me.
The only bad driver here is the SUV. Dude was way closer than the camera makes it look. Definitely just trying to bully me because he’s in a bigger vehicle.
