😊👍your right,I've mounted the motor back a bit so the battery can fit without hitting the motor,I only used a 1500mah lipo so needs a bigger one to counter balance I think it does okay got pretty churned up out there the boat has no fins or trim tabs 😊👍
Love this, just bought one myself, it’s my first boat. I’ll be looking to upgrade it soon. What other parts did you change, I’d be looking at using 4S batteries probably as I have them already
@@paulcooper7162 can I just ask Paul, does the new motor mount to the existing motor/ steering servo mount? Just looking at mine now and I can see 4 holes a bit further back, does that take a new mount? Lee
@@ducatikid58 Yes best to make a new motor mount and fit the motor back a bit and mount the battery up front center and fit the esc on the left side when looking from behind if this is your first attempt I wouldn't ty it, Vector SR80 Oro is way better and easy to upgrade
@@maxxm.108 Thanks 😊 soon I just received the epoxy resin and cloth to reinforce just very lightly up side front so as not to upset the balance,1 layer of weaved fiberglass cloth
@@paulcooper7162 Hope you show us how you strengthen the front of your zonda. A very useful modification. I can see that many owners of this boat strengthen its front 👍🙂
@@maxxm.108 😊 I will try vid of it but really it's hard as I need to use both hands,I paint the resin on when it's nearly time to go off and then lay the dry cloth on top and the paint more resin on and then try scrape the excess resin off,the lighter the stronger I've been told
Hi 😊👍 I changed everything and put ESC on the side and battery in the center also flex cable motor ESC and repositioned the motor mount back and bigger servo and rudder
@@paulcooper7162 ok nice, does the flip function still work? And can the stock motor handle 4-5s without being to warm? I’m planning on changing esc for higher top speed
@@bigblueoofheadd2210 The stock motor wouldn't self right the boat and got very hot, and the smell was burning ,4s smoke and fry motor.upgrade motor selfright instantly.Best motor to fit is Mitoot 2200kv from AliExpress

Hi definitely changed the strut and cable to 4mm and found best 6s 1800mah lipo,120A esc and mitoot 3216 2200kv outrunner motor,35mm TFL 1.9p prop

How big is the original motor? and can the stock one deal with 4s or do you need to change the ESC?
About 30mn original motor,ESC and motor ,cable are weak,I'd fit a 2200kv mitoot motor,see my Vector SR65 build
