Extending the swing arm is not a bad idea as you already probably know Kev, that drag bikes and hill climb specials all have that extended swing arm to minimize wheel lift, that thing is going to be a beast
The chain looks like 25h which is 6mm and readily available so should be able to push the axle to the back of the slot or die-grind it for clearance.

GPM sells an extended drag race swing arm for the Promoto. I believe Vitavon does as well. The eBay Steering stabilizer kit is necessary for jumping and high-speed wobble control. You're so wild, Kev! I love this channel with my whole dingy heart!

Hey Kev, extending the swing arm will also help keep the front wheel down. If you go out long enough you may not even need to weight down the front!!!! Cant wait to see it, it will truly be EPIC!!!!

Any thoughts on changing the gearing? Thats the first thing we do with full size motorcycles when trying to add top speed.
dont think theres any need for 70mph, whats holding it back i think is the tire rubbing. If i want to go 100+ maybe gearing change

Gotta love the RC habit doesn't matter what part you want to replace you always have to take the whole thing down to one screw. Anybody who has this hobby and is really into it you're probably already a mechanic and you don't even know
I love watching your videos because in this hobby you make the impossible, possible. If possible can you try to make a custom wheelie bar, custom small speedrun spur gear and extend the rare arm to give your bike more speed and stability.
Kev is the best youtuber. You have got me into the hobby dude. My first rc was a cheap amazon one. Then I saved a little money, got a traxxas bandit xl5. After a while, sold that one, and got an arrma granite 3s 4x4. I'm only 14. I would really like to see an extreme bash video on the granite blx. Thanks.

Maybe you could save some space and get rid of the voltage-regulator (to 6V), by exchanging the gyro-motor with a lower kV-version. Just an idea… Great video, thanks for sharing! 😊

I have an older Nitro RC motorcycle which is a blast to drive, if you have an large open course, you need something with big sweeping curves like a go kart track to really take advantage of it. This thing looks so much more fun, it would be cool if Losi made a sport bike version.
Vitavon does a longer arm and chain set. Don't forget the tensioner inserts. They also do some nice road tyres.
Love the bike series, a streetbike version would be sick

Tcs and abs still not had the slightest sniff by kevs brain after all these YEARS
a few places make extended swingarms and chains, that will help with the room for tire expansion and also help keep the front end down. But the biggest piece of advice I can offer is to lower the rear end as much as you can without the tire hitting the battery tray, this will increase the rake/trail on the front end and make it more stable at speed, which will get worse when that rear tire balloons all to hell and the front end angle steepens, if that makes sense. (I managed 67mph on 3s with the stock motor, but I've seen 70 be done on 3s). best of luck! -Steve from MountTrashmoreBashers.
I believe the Vitavon Swingarm is wider on the inside and a bit longer too. They make a chain too so is recommend getting that too if you do end up snagging one.
You might be able to dremal the swing arm spindle slots to get 5 mm more movement on the wheel and then put smaller motor "pinion" on to give the chain slack so the wheel can slide back and then make a wheelie bar that's fixed in place by the wheel spindle and chain guide bracket. Obviously smaller pinion will lose top speed but unless they make different size rear sprockets (smaller) an longer chain and swing arm extenders there's not many other options.
Solution to having to walk every time the bike or one of your cars crashes, bring a e-scooter with you. I learned that lesson when i took my nephew out street bashing. He’s 6 so he has tiny legs and would take him forever to retrieve his car. But now that i think about it, you owning a e-scooter probably would end up with you trying to add “MORE POWER!!!”

You should run it at 8 volt. 2s sit at 8.4 fully charged up. And the stator is ran directly off where the lipo plugs in at. So it sees 8.4 with no issues.
You summed it up perfectly as to why I have only run mine once LOL (If you need exercise...).

With more power now you can change sprocket sizes for more top end speed if they make them also might help with the front end trying to lift. Bigger in the front, smaller in the rear.
if youre just looking for straight line speed then you need to lengthen the rear arm and lower the whole bike. probably remove the "rider" and replace it with a heavier ballast to keep the weight distribution more like an actual motorcycle. and definitely change the gearing. looking foward to the update!

It's not 3 times the power, it's exponentially more power because current will go up as well as voltage. This is why just putting an extra cell into a model is a really bad idea.
Lets say your motor controller is placing a 0.4 ohm resistance across the battery terminals. With 2S you'll get 18.5A and 137W
However with 6S you'll get 55.5A and 1232W, almost 10x the power.
The formula for that is here:
7.4V / 0.4Ohm =18.5A
18.5A X 7.4V + 136.9W
22.2V / 0.4Ohm =55.5A
55.5A X 22.2V + 1232.1W
boom even better!! haha

At 3 x the voltage the current consumption will be 3 x so 9 x the power. To go twice the speed you need 4 x the power, the back tire is a brake at high speed.

Proline promoto tires will give you moreclearance. Bump that bec to 8 volts( fully charged 2s is 8.4) should help with stability. Bigger pinion.
Good stuff kev, you can also select a custom voltage setting in castle link and set it to 7.4v which will make it more stable and reduce the tipping.
He never takes the time out to read anything or give a good teaching value. Just shows you how to throw money at them. Fun channel for destruction that's about it. See everyone cram on every aluminum part they make for these makes me laugh.

There's a difference of being laughed at or laughing with. I don't understand why people show all these upgraded on these. Which some are not a good idea. We talk about not doing certain aluminum parts on cars but throw all logic out the window with this bike because it looks nice. All them part literally give no forgiveness in flex at all with a 9 lb bike hitting the ground. Some of the parts are good for it and some aren't. And of you have the money by all means have your fun but for people who don't have disposable income get the wrong idea.
You RC however puts the biggest smile on your face and I RC however puts the biggest smile on my face. If it puts a smile on the owners face he's doing it right, you don't need to understand, it makes no difference to my smile. You can laugh with me or at me I don't really care as long as you watch the vids and comment all is good.

Zip tie the front shocks down a little or cut some of the springs so it sits lower as well! Won't wheelie as much or as easy 👍

You could shave off a little arch inside the swing arm to give the tire more room to expand. That seems easier than moving the wheel further back.

Gotta try this again with a sproket change to lower the gearing and make it faster that wat. You have more then enough power, just need to get the speed up with gear ratios.

You could also try filing a few mm of the suspension arm where the tyre rubs. I think you'll get _over_ 70mph prolly 76mph is my guess!
I have to do the same thing drawing a diagram and taping the screws to the correct part of the paper, at least when my teardown happens days before the parts arrive.

wrap some wire around the back tyre and wheel between the knoblies and through the spokes to stop it expanding
Is a smaller rear sprocket gear available?, so you can both move the rear wheel backwards and also change the gearing for higher top end?.
Move the battery to the front off the bike to help with weigh disstribution to counteract the wheelying

Get yourself some lead stick on wheel weights to use as a ballast maybe? You'd get a decent amount of weight in a smaller area. And even be able to put them on the underside and keep that centre of gravity down. Ps- I'm a Tyre fitter, not an RC enthusiast so just throwing it out there 🙂

If you lower the front it will help keep weight forwards. A sprocket swap would give you the top end and also help keep the front down also. Carrying that rock alone must have cost you 3 mph.
You could also strap down the front suspension to limit the rise. Common practice in drag racing.

What servo would you recommend for the xmaxx that is cheap ish? I had the heavy duty servo for the xmaxx but something inside it is broken and i think i need a new one.

you need a smaler rear chainwheel for more topspeed. or a bigger front chainwheel. but the chain is to short for a bigger one in front
You could just use braided fishing line around the tire and glue it atleast 6 spots around the tire and it works better than belted tires
I would 3D print a longer swing arm with 100% infill.
That way you can test different lenghts, longer should be better for high speed stability.

oi Kev, i told you about what my friend did when these first came out. he took off the swing arm and scanned it to 3D print but lengthened it for making a hill climber and for using a paddle tire in sand. scan it lengthen it and print off a couple. bobs youre uncle|
Bigger front sprocket or smaller rear sprocket and it will give you space for tyre.
I am really curious if someone could simply use a roll of avionics stainless-steel Safety Wire and use it around tires, twisted for strength and externally even just below the treads (or foam tires;). If it's just tight enough to stop expansion, would it help, or just cut into the tires causing them to explode faster.
If it works, could greatly help speed runs.
