Kevin I went 12s with my Xmaxx it’s not pretty. If you drive it on road you would shred the diffs on sudden throttle. Unless your doing speed run 12s is not for bashing.

Can't imagine how insane that power must be as the X-Maxx is huge anyway.
I run the max5 118SD combo in my xmaxx now for about 5 months, I had to switch out to mod 1.5 gearing as every other time out i'd shred the mod1 pinion/spur. I got some pretty nasty bashing videos but not flat-out full trigger goodness like you do sir. Great video as always dude. It's so fun to see someone just hold full trigger and not care if things blow up. Im glad you do it so I dont have to. Also, my wallet is happier its happening to yours and not mine. What is it you always say, "could have been worse, could have been mine" hahaha.

I've made a CZcams channel and did other stuff but when I watched your video on the sg1603 baron drift truck and I've never had as much as fun as i did when I bought it after my parents died. Fun fact: It will go on backwards after a while and if you're not paying attention is quite a surprise when you hit the throttle.
Keving, I've done nothing but watch your videos the last two weeks. I bought my first Hobby Grade RC car, I bought the TRX-4 Traxx! Its such a fun car, but I wish it was faster. You should do a video of upgrades youd do to turn it into a crawler/basher! Much Love from the US.

Kev, if you want a magnetic tip, wrap a coated cooper wire around the driver and touch each end to a battery. If you dont want it magnetic, slide the driver out while touching the battery and it will de magnetize it.

Pro line has really "shat the bed" lately in their quality control dept. That happens some times with new found popularity. They are trying to keep up rather than make sure every set of wheels is as good as what made them popular. The 12S experience is going exactly as I figured it would but good laughs none the less. Oh Kev, thanks for having the balls to try things no one else does.😅😂
Since Horizon Hobby acquired them it seems quality has gone down. Same as their customer service with their other acquired companies. It's too bad as it's hurting the reputation the smaller companies have/had.

Proline was the best (back in my ancient day) but once acquired by Horizon what more could you expect than crap!
I think the 12s highlights the lack of a center diff. Also a thought perhaps you could get some better adhesion of the superglue with some Accelerator. It would help especially around the plastic wheels as the mould release they use when they are made is very difficult to fully remove.
Hey Kev try taking your magnet and rubbing it one direction about 20 times. You won't have to leave the magnet on the bit. That's how we used to magnetize screwdrivers

Thing is a beast I have beat mine so much I am going to buy another one tomorrow after having my original 8s for 2-3 now! things are absolutely legit and one of the easiest to work on could not decide on xrt or xmaxx another xmaxx it is!
DBXL-E definitely needs a monster locker in the centre, only decent way to stop the fronts ballooning and subsequently exploding.
Blew my Redcat Blackout XBE diff to smitherines on 3s and a cheap ebay brushless setup. That's just madness.

Kevin, with the 12S, you need to put a damn wheely bar on the back of it just to keep the front end down!!!
Generally going up in voltage, as long the electronics are rated for that voltage, lowers the amps draw and strain on the system. Also lowers the voltage sag during hard runs.
Next up, try fitting in the electric motor you use in one of the raminators lol

Funny thing about the proline glue failing is we have noticed the same in the 1/8 off-road racing pre glued tyres as well
Traxxas pretty much nails that balance between performance and destruction straight out of the box ! For real speed runs on that X-Maxx, put some weight on the front end.

No big.jumps , I just run it about so stock is good for me . Rpm hinge pins rpm rear hub and bearings 2085x servo should last a lifetime. 😊 so thank you kev for all the xmaxx videos you have made. Very helpful educational and so funny.

You should 12s the Xrt, it may not wheelie as much and may perform a lot better because of the lower center of gravity

Just a advice, but if you really want to know how fast you can go on 12s, you need to program the throttle. It will need a bit to figure out the increase line, but that's the only way to keep traction. That won't stop you from blowing up the tires, but at least at the max speed 🙂Btw... why does nobody vulcanize the propper rubbermix direkt on to metal rims? Also for the speed record attempts?

First thing I would do with all that power is lock the center diff, and add some kind of ballast in the front. To bad the long travel shocks were leaking. That would have been nice too for the extra load.

I race 8 scale nitro, i used to run proline pre glued on truggy and buggy. They used to be great. A few years ago after they went through a change, the pre glued tires became shit. I then started buying tires and wheels from them that i had to glue myself, even then they wouldnt stay together. Something with their new compounds just dont work. Ive tried all these new brands and never had an issue with ore glued or gluing myself

Try adding weights on the front of any over powered RC to prevent wheelies. That way we can really see what their capabilities really are with all four traction on the ground

Around the 9:22 mark it shows how awesome the low end speed control is yet it can still rip at higher speeds. How do you manage to get that low end control?

Sometimes I find using the throttle on low throttle trim and increase the trim when you're comfortable to work better with some controllers on faster RC's
You need to look at adding weight to the front and maybe adding a front wing to improve the downforce.
That was a hilarious fun video. Lesson learned though- more isnt always better but super fun to watch what these things can and will do when curiosity wins the day and caution is thrown to the wind.😂

Please put raminator wheels on the Rear only (see if you can blow them up) paddle tyres on the front so can steer properly (if they blow change for sparkling wheels) with extended wheelie bar possibly slower gear ratio so faster acceleration possibly add little weight to the front to counter balance the weight of the tyres should be some good fun 👌👌 love your videos ❤❤

i have a brushless swapped hpi savage and the tire were blowing alot so i used the traxxas 100 mph tire glue and just a little bit will help hold them down with such high rpms going to the tires

You need some advanced 3-D printers so you can print the vulnerable parts out of much harder metals Kevin like the transmission gears & drive shaft & cv joints and suspension control arms

My hpi on 6s will do a standing backflip. Great video. By the way hpi savage is expensive and brake diffs. Everytime you put 6s in it. I still rip it cause I love wrenching.
What can you say about the h-speed servo, what you installed? Do you use it a long time ago? Or anybody of the crew? I would like to see the max6 g2 combo 1250 kv 8s in the Xmaxx. I think it is the best combo for Xmaxx. 👋👍❤️

it would be beneficial to replace all plastic components with metal parts. This modification may add additional weight, potentially enabling the RC to remain grounded for an extended period.
Put a ballast arm on the front to get to full speed. That's why rail dragsters are so long. More powa more length!!!
