We agree on how each life will play out together before we are born at a time when it seems like a good idea for spiritual growth... and then we come here and largely forget so that we fully live the lessons. You are together still and you will eventually reunite on the same plane. Research life after death, life between lives etc. Plenty of books and CZcamss.
