Our babies never left the delivery room before they were sent to the nursery, without a nameband

@@sharonwells9593 right. The hospital I birthed my son in, standard practice was to keep baby in delivery room so delivery rooms were basically delivery and recovery rooms. Encouraged Skin to skin and all that. I was honestly a great birthing experience.

@@alee111 even in an emergency with the newborn. The doctor is going to working on this baby in the baby warmer, the namebands are put in the warmer and the delivery nurse quickly picks the namebands up and puts one on the baby's leg and snaps the other to mommy's wrist. Then if necessary the baby may be rushed to NICU by the Dr.
I remember reaching in front of Dr's abdomen with the nameband and clipping the name band on the baby , trying to stay out of Dr's way but making sure that the baby does not leave mama's side before having nameband.
