  • The odyssey to Makhel, Tadubi, Manipur, is an experience on the vibrant oral history of the Naga people, disseminated down the ages since time immemorial. Very less has been written and lesser still is the history of Nagas known to scholars and the like unless for the oral tradition of sharing knowledge on our history.
it was an expedition worth the bumpy, dusty ride as one venture around the mysterious village laden with semiotic treasures everywhere. A heritage for the Nagas in general, oral history has it that Nagas migrated from Makhel or Makhraimai Village which lay about 45 kms away from Kohima.
The Souvenir Committee, Angami Public Organisation Golden Jubilee Celebration 2022, undertook the phenomenal trip as a 'Jubilee Souvenir' travelogue during the 17th & 20th March 2022.

Dear esteem viewers, The Pear Tree is not at Makhel. It is at Shajouba (Charanghomei)
