  • In today's video, "Years Of Breeding Ruined Popular Dog Breeds," we dive deep into how the most cherished and popular dog breeds have been negatively impacted by years of breeding. From the loyal German Shepherd to the charming French Bulldog, and the distinctive Bull Terrier, we explore the surprising and often heartbreaking transformations these breeds have undergone. Through a blend of expert interviews and compelling case studies, we reveal the unintended consequences of breeding practices aimed at enhancing specific physical traits, which have led to widespread health issues and decreased quality of life for these beloved canines.
    The journey doesn't stop there; we also turn our attention to breeds like the Pugs, known for their adorable squished faces, and the majestic St. Bernard, along with the unique Basset Hound and the regal Chow Chow. Each of these breeds has a story tainted by years of selective breeding, pushing them further away from their original, healthier forms. By highlighting the stark differences between the past and present conditions of these dogs, our video aims to shed light on the urgent need for change in breeding practices. Join us as we uncover the truth behind how years of breeding ruined popular dog breeds, sparking a conversation about the ethics of pet breeding and the way forward to ensure the health and happiness of our furry companions.

    This is a brilliant vid, I knew there had been many changes over the years but to see the original pics and what they look like now is mind blowing. Wouldn’t want a dog with breathing issues, it’s heartbreaking seeing them panting all the time hence I have a Lab 😁

    One hates to see such beautiful and helpful animals being changed to be more decorative, by people who obviously have no sense for natural beauty.

    I wonder how long it would take to breed these harmful traits out of the dogs😢

      Wish it were possible... Being aware of these traits is the first step to helping our pups live more comfortably with their various conditions 🐶💖 Looks like the least we can do for them

    Leave it to humans to change things … & not for the best interest of the dogs 😢👵🏻👩‍🌾❣️

    I wish something like this could be done with humans. Like how we selectively breed amongst ourselves. The years of breading soldier spirited and warrior minding people over the years. Is our womens lust for the tall men gonna create men later on with certain joint issues or growth problems. What about men loving large breast and all the complications women have from this.
    If only.

    • @captbunnykiller1.0
      @captbunnykiller1.0 Před 8 dny

      What you are proposing is eugenics. It doesn't end well for dogs, why should it be good for humans? We favour those who are successful and success always links to living conditions and the local environment, way before cultural expectations. Preferences are neither globally nor generally aligned. A lot of women prefer smart men over strong men, and a lot of men prefer loyal women over beautiful women. Let people breed as they see fit.

      @@captbunnykiller1.0 How is that working out? We are more healthier due to our living condition and not necessarily because out bodies are healthier.
      People don't breed as the see fit. Culture, race, social status, access all define our breeding patterns. So to suggest that there be a more systemized procreation method is not out of the question. We kind of do this already.

      @@ghoxted2789 Your premisse is wrong. We are not healthier. Quite the contrary.

      @@captbunnykiller1.0 We may disagree but u have no way of ruling me as wrong. And I am stating that we are less healthier. I was making the point how our elderly today are in better "health" than I will be, more than some adults and youths right now. And they and before them were heathier.
      it's not always a disagreement because the words are not the same.
