Dude they have to leave some flaws to keep selling controllers. This is just them reaching a portion of the market that previously only Scuff monopolized. This move wasn't thought to "improve" their controllers, just to sell more expensive ones.

I took mine off and spray painted it immediately.
The case and design are quite nice, but that cable design is phenomenal. The best thing about it by far.
Just got one on the PS website, $50 per month for 4 months :) should be here tomorrow 🙏

Putting the cable lock cos they know the battery will only last you 10 mins. They know what they're doing.
Basically returning to cabled controllers.
I never really understand why everyone makes a big deal about the battery. Like yeah it's not very big and maybe it's because I charge it every night but I've never had the controller go dead on me.
@@WaitWhatWho it's gone dead on me. Loads of times. And I'm not a heavy gamer mind you. I put in about 3 to 4 hours when I'm off work and the 2 pads I have doesn't last that long. I end up just plugging 1 in to play. Had to get a 3mm USB C cord

These controllers last for 5.5 hours .
Pre ordered this for use on PC. Seems Sony kinda forgot that part. Building a "pro" level controller and not expecting power users to want to use it with a PC ... Probably gonna return mine
Microsoft owns xbox, why didn't you just buy an xbox elite controller that is set up for PC use?

My only problem for that price tag is the fact that the elite controller for Xbox has a charge station that you can easily just lay the controller onto to charge but this controller requires you to still plug it in?
Nah there’s charge station for this and regular ps5 controllers as well, all the features are as premium as they look, hope you get it bro
Nice, they clearly looked at the case and options of the Xbox Elite controller.
Also liked they adopted the form of the Xbox controller. Now both consoles play much more alike for me.

U forgot the interchangeable thumbsticks like the whole thing com out
Who needs that cable lock I play wired all day long on my Xbox series x and never once have I ripped the cord out and it’s a short cord at that.. I just feel the materials are cheaper compared to the elite controller!! But I’ll still probably get one just waiting to see if they offer any other colors like the cosmic red or black to match my plates! 👽🛸

I've been curious on this for a minute since I started running across ads. I've have drift issues on both controllers I've had. They're both serial numbers ending in A or whatever the deal is thats supposed to say its a different model to the original and allegedly doesn't have drift issues. These look awesome, but I'd like to know if they have the same problem.

You forgot about the complete replacement of the joystick..which I think it's the best idea ever ..wish they find a way to stop stick drifting one day cause 200$ for a controller that still have it is really dissapointing.

@@someoneyouneverknow7529 I don't know what's going on with them PS controllers, the controller that came in the box with the ps4 lasted me about 1 month before it got serious problems but then I bought a fake one for 40$ which lasted me 3years, exact same thing happened with my buddy's ps5 controller.

I hear the battery is quite a bit smaller than the regular controller though. 5-10 hours vs 12-15 on the regular one. According to hypebeast.

Does it have magnetic docking in the case like the elite s2? Like so you can just drop the controller into the open case and it'll charge? I love that feature on the es2
One of the many disappointments of this controller especially considering it more expensive than the elite they cut a lot of corners.
@@christophergardiner7372 are you okay? Just saying as the Dualsense edge has more features then the Xbox Elite Series 2 for only 30 more dollars. And it can fix stick drift without going inside the Internals of the Elite.

the whole joy stick mechanism comes our also for easy replacement there 20$ on the playstation store.

Do you think this would benefit a gamer with one hand? I just started getting back into gaming and still struggle a bit. I’m just wondering if I should hold out for their adaptive controller or try this out. What are your thoughts?
Adaptive controller can take a while to come out, if ever. At this point it would be a crowd funded endever.

If you do good "Death/Kill" ratio, you may not need said controller. If you had a previous adaptive controller, try it on the new system, it might work.
Does the controller actually feel more premium than a stock PS5 controller? For example the Elite Series 2 feels 2x as solid as a stock controller

@L_O_W_K_E_Y-G tried the basic Nacon before, PS4 isn't outdated coz the connection is only via BT signal. . Not really into 3rd party controllers though. . I was just saying if dual sense works with PS3 via wired connection, Sony should also do that in PS4 via BT. . I guess, they don't want people to stop buying PS5 and just get the dual sense controller 😅 PS5 here in our country have issues with stock and it's overpriced 😆
