Jean - thanks as ever - inspiring - and great moody colours!
Lovely! Beautiful colors 😍
So beautiful! love this granulate paint
Jean, looking forward to a new year of your videos! Thank You!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the granulations.
Thank you Jean, another fabulous painting
Great video. I just love to watch you paint. Always a beautiful piece or artwork. thank you!
I love these tecniques!
I learn so many interesting things from your videos and your online courses, you have really freed me up with my watercolor painting.
Lovely Jean! Thanks for another great lesson. I am going to try this on Arches rough also and see what happens.
So glad finding Your new video; the Daniel Smithcolours are wonderfull, Iam using them a lot. thank you very much
You make it look effortless. I am always amazed. Gorgeous abstract landscape.
Jean thank you! I have learned something new. I like how you encouraged the water with the pipette at the bottom of the ink. I have sprayed the whole line in the past and what a mess I had made. This is Beautiful!!
Very wonderful art! The color is very beautiful. 😊💛💛💛
Thank you and I hope you have a great year too. It would be fun to try a painting with all granulating paints.
Thanks Jean. Granulation is so interesting.
Tus trabajos son una gran inspiración para mi! Muchas gracias por compartir tus técnicas.
I just love your videos. They are so honest, informative and easy to follow. Thanks for for all the hard work you put into them.
Oh, and I love your calm voice :)
So interesting how the landscape dried. Looks quite different from wet! The sky is amazing
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You are really helping me loosen up and enjoy my painting process more every day. I can't get enough of your classes.
THANK YOU P K
Love this. My favorite part was when you turned it upside down and let the ground granulating colors flow towards the horizon. Great techniques. I’d love to see more on using a mix granulating and non-granulating paints, and where you would choose to use the different ones in your painting. Thank you for posting. 💙🌵
AWESOME
This is lovely, Jean! Perfect for testing how these colours play together! Have you tried it on Clairefontaine Flamboyant paper (50%cotton, 50%cellulose, ‘moon surface’-like) -no need for granulation medium and it enhances the granulating effect of the colours!
Thanks
If you ever write a book, Jean, I'm buying it.
Me too!
And me! I love your work, Jean!
Please write a book Jean.
Et moi aussi!!!! Thank you for sharing your work, I love it!
Wonderful and informative as always. Thank you!
Super job!! 👍🏼💐Greetings from a new friend!
I will watch your new work🎨 stay safe and blessed🙏
By the way... I and dying to take your online courses...however, they do not seem as though they are for beginners...as in just learning how to swatch and do simple washes. So I am waiting until I get more experience under my belt. I hope you continue the online courses for the future!!
like! Great work, very good alternative, very good video, L+ S
Bonne année 🎈
Fantastic thank you. I have a few Daniel Smith granulation colours I bought to play with one day, so will give it a go this weekend. Did you just water the paints down with water or granulation medium Jean ?
For this painting I just used water but often do use granulation medium when doing landscapes.
Your painting style is so stunning! Do you mind sharing what you had in the pipette that you drizzled on the sepia acrylic ink? And is there a reason you chose acrylic liquid ink over watercolor liquid ink? Thank you for sharing your time, talent, and creativity with us!
Thanks Barbara. I used water in th pipette with the acrylic ink to make it granulate. I like how acrylic inks react with watercolors.
Another great demonstration. Was the paper dry or wet when you started?
It was wet on dry Janice.
Hi Jean, Can you use PHMartin India ink instead of acrylic ink?
Thank you Kathy Pedreira
Two questions. Which paper did you use? And why did you use acrylic ink rather than watercolor? Does it give more coverage? Love your videos!
I used Arches hot pressed 140lb paper. I also like to combine acrylic inks with watercolor for special effects. The sepia granulates and creates interesting textures when used with watercolors.
why did u use water and not granulation medium w the sepia ink?
It’s rather amazing what granulating colors can do ! Have you tried granulating colors on rough paper?
Yes I have but I find I get the best results on hot pressed paper.
Jean, How large is your plexiglass board? Nice idea
It's 12" x 16" Francine.
Gorgeous! I love granulation. What paper did you use?
I used Arches hot pressed 140lb paper. My go-to paper for most of my paintings.
I would never think to use hot pressed!
@@suel4269 It's always good to try things outside your comfort zone. You can get surprising results. Give it a try.
Me gustaría saber si el líquido de granulas es casero o se compra ?
The paints are granulating pigments. for granulation medium to make paints granulate here is a link amzn.to/2xzJUV8
So gorgeous, what a beautiful painting. Are you selling this painting by any chance?
HI Stephanie. I no longer have this painting unfortunately. If you are interested, here is my web site that show the paintings that are available. www.jeanlurssen.com
Jean, what do you think of the granulating medium for watercolor??
I use granulation medium a lot but decided to just use water for this one.
@@JeanLurssen 🤗
Where did you get the long dropper you used for the water?
Hi Francis. Here is a link to where you can get the droppers. amzn.to/2to8A4r
