- A preview of the upcoming Casio A120W or shortened to Casio A120. The A120W is a follow on from the already classic A100 which was itself a homage to the F100 used in the movie Alien by Sigourney Weaver. The A120W will feature larger rectangular buttons on the front and will come in 3 different colourways: silver (A120WE-1AEF), gunmetal (A120WEGG-1BEF) and gold (A120WEG-9AEF).

I'm all in on the gunmetal version. Those buttons... fantastic. I could pretend I'm the captain of a long haul space cruiser, adventuring around the galaxy with my crew of misfits and controlling critical ship functions from my wrist device.

That's what the more unique casio models are about to me, they have such sci-fi and futuristic feels to them and make you feel as cool as they look

Just a week after you posted this video they announced a model of the A120W in conjunction with Netflix and Stranger Things. I picked one up and will have it within the week so really looking forward to that.
I'm 100% getting one on release but also tempted to get all 3

This one is even more retro, looks like a walkman with those buttons. I'm not sure if it's worth getting this one if you already have the A100 (I don't, but I have it somewhere on my list, so now I'm more confused). It's like the A158 and the A159 - the first one has some colored dial variants and the second has a different bracelet and is made in Japan. Although I'm sure some people would want both. But in this case I'd get the negative version of the A120 if you have the regular A100 and vice versa. At least that way it'll have a different look.
And the LF20W looks like a mix between the standard F91W or the similar W59 and the Royale. Not sure if I need one, because I got both. But it looks good, gotta check it out in person.
You’re right about the buttons being reminiscent of a Walkman. It reminds me of one I used to own.
My FIRST ever watch when I was a child the Casio F100 at 00:42 in this video ... This watch was a STONKER!
They fetch good money second hand and it is impossible to get the original straps for them.
I so wish I still had mine.. I think I like the negative display version at 03:24 in this video the best... Thank you, Casio for sticking with digital watches while other manufacturers have turned their back on them.

The original straps did indeed look very delicate and liable to perish over time.
Wearing my favorite watch today my Casio DW5600E ... I should have bought one earlier. So pleased I have one in my watch collection now. Might give my humble Casio MQ-24-7BLL a wear tomorrow... It is a while since I have given this watch a wear. It is so "Minimalistic" but it still does its job.
Are these watches resistant to sweat? I've been using my a120 for a week or so, and I'm worried about the back side of the band and the case in terms of coloration and functionality, since I sweat a lot these days.
I want to take out the positive display from the silver version, and replace the negative one in the gun metal version.

Great stuff with a metal case, but I just can't unsee the asymmetrical reset and light buttons.

I wish the silver had a matte finish like the db380. It just looks like the face will get all scratched up. Other than that, gorgeous watch, I like it better than the 100

There's a new model that I like. It's the MTP-M300D but right now it's too expensive. Cost as much as a Seiko 5 sports watch or one of the numerous G-shock models from Casio. It has a very attractive panda sub dials with a moonphase dial. I guess I'll wait when it gets to a decent price level.
I just checked it out, and it is nice looking. It's also a decent size at 40mm width.
Hi, any idea if this has a 24 hour clock display option? I've heard the A100W didn't which was a dealbreaker for me unfortunately
no, it has pm indicator
I'm.a disappointed that both A100W and A120W stopwatches uses 1/10 seconds instead of 1/100 seconds stopwatch. Why though? For cost reduction or something?

Yes you can. The Stranger Things special edition version already comes on a resin band.
