That truck should be in a museum. I remember when they were new and was shocked at the big round holes in the frame and the lack of a full floating rear axle. If I remember it has a Dana 44 front axle too. They improved them as the years went on and beefed them up and became good trucks. Had a 1982 F-150 4x4 with a 300 and a 4 speed over drive. It was a great truck and did everything I asked of it and some of it was more than I should have asked

This one is a light duty 3/4 ton which had the light duty axles and springs. It was based on gvwr which I don’t remember what it was. The heavy duty 3/4 ton had a full floating rear axle and much larger front hubs as well. It was rated at 8600 lb gvwr. I agree with the other comments that this truck belongs in a museum or some collectors garage.

A working feedback carb system on these is rare in itself. They were extremely easy to disable and convert to straight carb and many people who got these just pulled the systems off themselves. They broke down a lot especially under heavy use anyway and there is little chance of restoring an old one to working order because parts are nearly nonexistent. You might just have the last completely stock bullnose underhood.

One absolutely beautiful survivor. I myself would rather spend the money on this old-school gem than anything new on the lot today seriously!.. Well sadly that's if I actually had the money this gem could get that is. 😭😉😁
Please sell this to someone who will appreciate it properly and keep it as it is now that's all I will ask of you!. 🤞🙏

      Price

@@richardbishop156 It was either $29,500 or $26,500. But for a truck with only 76 miles on it even given it's age is a really great price and you can't even get a new F-250 for that price even for a base model, well not in my state anyways.

Awesome truck. This one has the “Swiss cheese frame”’ Ford used that for a year or 2 on the 150 and under 8000lb 250 to cut weight. They case hardened around the holes to keep the strength. Also this one has the semi float Dana 60. Too bad you can buy this truck today. I had to buy/build my 84 c3500 to get the truck I wanted

1980 was the first year for those 7th generation Ford F-series pickups & same with the fullsize Broncos with that same body style.

Guaranteed every bit of rubber on that truck needs to be replaced even if it was in a climate controlled environment rubber just dry rots it'll probably start leaking oil too

I wish ford would make brand new "resto mods" of some of the classics. Same body, new drivetrain to meet emissions and all that.
