BMW E92/E93 rear HiFi Retrofit

Hi friends,
This time I am showing you how to retrofit a pair of OEM 2-ways speakers at the rear part of your car.
The difficult part is to cut the hole on the cards of the car but following my instructions it will be quite easy!

Hi Jose,
Before you upgraded the rears, did you have low volume from them? I also performed the hi-fi upgrade and coded, the fronts are great, however next to no sound from the rears.
Did you notice a big difference after the retrofit? I fear there is still a low current supply to the rears since they do not appear amplified by the new separate amp.

¿Como amplificaste estas vias traseras? ¿O las dejaste sin amplificar?
Desconozco como van montados estos altavoces de serie, supongo que iran con una etapa de 6 canales en vez de la de 4 del kit alpine, porque creo que no existe un kit hifi alpine para las vias traseras ¿Es correcto?

Thanks for the video mate!! Where do I get those rear tweeters from? Do they come as a complete enclosure with the housing and grill and stuff?

Hi!
They come in two parts:
- The full speaker (with case, grill, wires...)
- The nut ring.
You can find then at your dealer shop or in ebay.

The rings are sold separatelly but you can check the part numbers at 0'15"
They are very cheap.

Did you use the Alpine amplifier with this and if so did it have enough power for it?

Yes to both questions.
I used two Alpine amplifiers (4 channels for the front part of the car and 2 channels for rear part. 2 other channels are left disconnected)

Where did you manage to get the grill for the rear tweeter?

They come with grill from factory and they cannot be disassembled
You can buy them in 3 colors (black, grey and beige)
If you buy the 'Individual' one the come in silver color.
