I Build A Boat As A Wedding Gift For My Bride And Me | part 1: welding the frame

In this series of videos, I´ll show you the building process of our dream boat. It will be the perfect symbiosis of a water sports boat for a daytrip with friends and a place to stay for a few nights with a comfy bed. My bride and I love to stay on the water for a couple of days and with this boat we have everything we need for that. She gave me all her requirements and I made a design out of it.
The hull is 6.9 m long and 2.5 m wide, all made of marine grade aluminium, fully welded. Everything is planned, constructed and build by myself.
This will be a series of short videos documenting the building process, mostly time laps.

Hallo Alumawave vielen Dank für deine Videos. Ich interessiere mich auch für den Aluboot Eigenbau. Welche Blechstärke hast du für den Rumpf benutzt? Schon mal vielen Dank für deine Antwort. Gruß Ingo

Hi Ingo, der Rumpf und alle horizontalen Flächen sind 4 mm stark, senkrechte Teile 3 mm. Für einen Rumpf in dieser Größe ist aber alles zwischen 4 und 6 mm geeignet.
