So proud ELVIS got this . But I’ve never understood why it takes after he died to award him with awards he got . Should have been done while he was living . Elvis is and always will be the best there ever was . Love me some ELVIS big time ♥️♥️♥️
The rock and roll Hall of fame wasn’t started until 1983, 6 years after he passed. That’s why it wasn’t done while he was still living..

Why on earth would they pick Julian Lennon to induct Elvis, Bob Dylan or Paul McCartney would have been more appropriate
In a way, it felt as if through Julian reading that note John wrote about Elvis, that John was inducting him. Secondly, Julian was quite popular during that time but I understand your point.
John Lennon was to Elvis what Michelangelo was to Leonardo da Vinci. While they were polar opposites in personality and art, they were the two artistic high points of their time, the two greatest rock stars to ever live. Having John's sons induct him feels almost symbolic, Elvis was the only person John ever admired, and that REALLY means something. I'm so happy his offspring got to honour his only ever hero in such a way
