I have a theory that it could be a message from Ella's dad from beyond the grave (possibly played in the background), but time will tell

I think that the Fairy was in love with Ella's mom. Ashes to Ashes really gives me that vibe.
All i know is that castle on a hill is the opening, ever after is the act 1 finale (bc the vibe is so finale of first act coded) and starlight trappings feels like its towards the end. Ash to Ash is the cinderella gets her gifts by the fairy godmother song and Cursed Crazy is the belle song so thats probably gonna be the second song, and then ash to ash is somewhere around there too. Pretty much all of the songs seem to be in the first act besides trappings of starlight which makes sense like they dont wanna give a lot away about the story and the second half would have a lot of spoilers. I cant wait to know what trappings of starlight is about its giving me life

What does it mean for a song's vibe to be "end of first act coded"?
@@adamdavis1648 coded essentially means like “it feels like” and that song feels like its the end of the first act solely based off of the context and other songs. Its a build up song, and it is also a reprise of some of the previous songs. We know it has to take place after or at the end of the ball. Kind of like how nerdy prudes must dies act 1 ending song was nerdy prudes must die and it was a highly explosive song and it was kind of the climax of the story. It just fits the criteria, in my personal opinion, of being the end of act 1. Especially since a lot of the song demos released are also definitely from act 1 as well, as to not spoil the entire story, the only one in question is trappings of starlight which i believe personally is act 2, but i could be wrong. That one feels like actb2 solely bc they can’t tell us anything about it which means its story heavy and we’ve already established a bunch of songs from the first half so we know the basic story of the beginning half, just not in specific detail. Also nerdy prudes must die had a reprise in it of Cool as i think i am, and starkid clearly does a lot of reprises in songs that are highly important.

I am *so* damn excited for this show. Jeff fucking killed it with the songs from what we've been able to hear. I can already tell Cursed Crazy is going to be one of my favourites, I've had it stuck in my head the past few days. ^^; Obsessed with the fire crackles at the start of the song (Actually, quick edit here. I think it's more like the feedback you get from playing a vinyl record? It does really well selling the sort of sound of fire to me though!) and how it really just sets up the overall darker tone of it.
Pretty sure I could ramble on about all the songs. Cannot wait to hear the final versions!

I think starlight might be a sword! Or at least thats one of the theories i have. Or it could be like some time of magic ella is gifted. The reason i have the idea of a sword is because theres a sword mentioned in a few of these songs already, in “do they pull the sword from the stone to decide” and then she specificially says “craft” like shes making something which i mean she could be crafting a sword idk, and then ella mentions her fathers sword so maybe its already a crafted sword but shes making it a magic sword.
Also i forget the prince’s song also mentions starlight which means it has to do with him or something that he knows about! Maybe…. Unless its just a coincidence 😂
@@sonailee3619I think starlight is what she wears, "I will wrap thee in these cinders, Elle, you will be as radiant and terrible as I" "she'll radiate and glow". But, swords do get another mention. Ella talks about killing the trolls "with my father's sword in legion" in step on your grave, so it's possible she will have a sword in the show. I like your idea of, some time of magic will be gifted. As we know the original story Cinderella must be home by midnight... What if, in this play, she has to wait until midnight for the slaughter to begin, for her magic to arrive? An interesting thought maybe!
@@Eilavamp i didnt even remember but she blatantly says "forge" when she talks about the gifts aka "i forge you these three gifts" so it could honestly be something like the dress or the sword is referred to as starlight. maybe both even, maybe starlight is a set of glowing armor (neon light infers that her dress is very bright) that she can turn into a dress lol

As someone who hasn't seen it yet and trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can. I'm just curious, does Step On Your Grave have Reprise Version? Specifically is it or does it sound like the cut Nightmare Time 2 song "One Foot In the Grave" (I only discovered the song about a week ago, on the 16th July and can definitely here the resemblance)?

Will Jeff Blim be singing all the songs in the musical or will the cast sing them?
He will sing some of them since he’s the narrator but most of them will be sung by others. This is just the demos that Jeff recorded. Like “Neon” is a duet between Bryce and James as Ella and the prince and “Ash to Ash” is between Kim and Bryce as the Queen and Ella. Rn most of them seem to be mostly sung by Bryce since she’s the main character!!

No these are probably like half of them maybe? The others had spoilers and stuff so these were other only ones they wanted to release right now!
These are also not all in order. So castle on a hill is the opening but the others are in random order
In the stream they also give some context to the songs like how facade is the villain song with the stepmother and sisters, neon is the prince and Ella’s song at the ball, ash to ash to the queen and Ella etc.
