- It's a long way from Nashville to Nairobi, but you can still listen to country in Kenya. BBC Pop Up went along to meet Sir Elvis, a Kenyan whose parents named him after Elvis Presley, to find out more about the unlikely music scene. We filmed this story after it was suggested by a member of the audience.

Saw this guy at the international country music awards in Jefferson, TX this weekend. He is fantastic . Best male vocalist winner.
This is why I love country. Namely classic country, it speaks to people all around the world and breaks down barriers. As the late George Jones said, walls can fall. Much love from America brother!

Pure love of country music.
We have another Charlie Pride on our hands,,,what a Great Talent.
Not an easy thing to do, breaking into country and western music. You do it so well. Thank you so much. Garth Cape Town
I love country though I don't know of any concert here in Kenya would love to attend
Me too...where are the concerts at?
Run, don't walk to your nearest International airport, on arrival get a Nashville agent like Terry Choate, etc., and start counting your millions. Or, walk to victory on America's Got Talent and count your millions in Vegas. Money today is in "covers". And you do them perhaps better than any man alive.
If Jay Z had half a brain? He'd sign this man UP and promote his music! He'd make a mint!
@Ozzy Mandias What the hell are you sounding off on?
This is how to win against Isis.
Guys got a great voice. He should do American Idol, there's no black country artists in the US. He could get signed with a voice like that and his unique background.
Little Jimmy Scumbag What do you mean there’s Charlie Pride, Ray price, Darius Rucker and etc.
Wow this guy is great and I don't even like country that much!
Zoroastrianism-Islam-Sikhism Shame about his shitty hat.
His music is his weapon against the al shabaab.
Haha
Well, I'll be gobsmacked. Kenyan country.
Hoesay LMAO!
country’s music created by blacks never whites nope
