Few people here in the Philippines loves country music but I don't care because country music is my passion. In the 70s we had folk-country artists like ASIN & FREDDIE AGUILAR.

Sometime before about five centuries in the American continent came together some people from Ireland and South Africa respectively, everyone in the country-continent was playing traditional Celtic and African music, so when found together on the ships and in the New World began a new genre known then and now as Bluegrass. then under various conditions the Irish compose music Saloon and Africans the Spiritual, over the years these two "then newborn" sounds evolved in two major bases of Rock, was the Country (Ireland) & Blues (South Africa).
