Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!" - Zábava
For anyone who hasn’t seen House of D, please do. It’s absolutely heartbreaking and wonderful. Amazing cast. I love it
He put together a sweet film with Anton Yelchin & Robin Williams...He has nothing to be ashamed of...
Isn't anyone going to comment on those shoes... ?
It was the first thing I noticed!!
He just seems like a slightly more Midwestern Hank Moody.
Or a slightly rounder Tim Allen.
House of D also starred Robin Williams and his daughter, Zelda.
I love it when Stephen has off the cuff conversations with people rather than the planned interviews.
Craig Ferguson always did it
especially with the ladies
David Duchovny is by far the greatest actor, writer, director and singer in Tinsel Town! And his movie "House of D" is awesome, although Ebert and Roeper thought it sucked. The movie does not suck! Nothing about David Duchovny's work sucks. He has been my favorite actor since 1998. Wanted to be like him ever since. David Duchovny RULES!!
I loved House of D. We even went to Paris to search for DD there, lol. Found the hotel (the Ritz) but then we didn't dare going in, lol
I liked house of D. havent seen it since I was 12 but I was moved by it as a kid.
One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Wish I was there to applaud when he jokingly paused for it
Although he did get an A for "Files of X"
house of d was a decent movie
Beautiful film, including Robin & Zelda Williams, & gifted actor, Anton Yelchin who sadly passed at 27 -- lovely work he left us.
This was definitely not how Stephen planned on the segment going 😂😂
Now our comments are becoming clipbait? Nothing unexpected happened
myztikrice I'm just guessing Stephen thought they'd be talking about the show a little more instead of having a discussion about food terminology. After the first few minutes it went back on track though. :)
Man, I liked House of D. Legitimately.
Every time I see this man......."MOTHAAAAFUKKAA "
I haven't seen _House of D_ in a few years, but I remember really liking it. It wasn't groundbreaking by any means, but it was a cute, uplifting story. And sometimes a cute, uplifting story is exactly what I need after a long week at work.
I just saw House of D and I thought this was a great movie - I really enjoyed it.
That was the best interview ever. Made me laugh twice when I saw this on my tv.
I loved the movie House of D🎉It’s heartwarming and heartbreaking. It’s classic storytelling and will endure time.
Sir Hank Moody! :D
Fuck those critics, that movie was amazing. Left me in tears😢👍
Of course, when he woke up that morning, it was with a gorgeous 21-year-old cocktail waitress -- so, ya know.
House of D was the best movie David did)
I loved the house of d!!!
We still love you Fox.
2:44 I love how Stephen is culturally literate when unscripted.
house of d is a great movie!
I loved house of D, found this looking for its trailer.
I love David Duchovny. Hes awesome
I looked up house of D and the cast has Robin Williams and Anton Yelchin :O
mohillic watch it don care about the critics, Anton and Robin perform such a beautiful characters on that film, try not to watch the trailer spoils too much the movie
come on! that movie is beautiful.
House Of D was a beautiful wholesome film and the story was perfectly tied together with great acting as well from the fantastic Anton Yelchin RIP (so young) and Robin Williams. I loved the film, it really touched me and my husband cried and he NEVER cries 😊 some hard hitting scenes I won't describe not to spoil for those who haven't seen it. I'd give House Of D an A plus for sure. ❤😊
One of my favorite movies ever is House of D! Sorry for you if you missed it.
House of D is one of my favorite movies...
wow david tell the best stories
He looks so much like Stu from Rugrats hahah
Oh hi Mulder
I really enjoyed the 'House of D'.
Critics were probably expecting a pay off they didn't get.
he high as hell.
ayy kenny garrett tune at the beginning
nice intro music. kenny garrett's "sing a song of song"
OMG those shoes!
I love House of d!
YES! sing a song of song
they might have disagreed on the meaning of "do" and "make" at the beginning
I loved house of D
I f**king LOVE House of D...
I wish I could live a thousand years to see him rebuilt over and over until he's rebuilt into calculon.

wearing same outfit he was wearing with Gillian on Kimmel
Move him from Room A to Room F. Ouch
Damn, and here I am making spaghetti and meatballs for my kids tonight 😬
We all could use some F's
House of deez nuts amiright

+MO hahahah!
He's moved well past the character, but I was a little sad he didn't say "The USA Today".
I’m sorry but it was a beautiful movie , those that say it sucked have no heart !
just like hank moody but violent...
House of d is a good movie.
I'll give you a steady diet of F's😈
The hell does that imply?
someone says the girl in HOUSE OF D... is Robin Williams real life daughter????
I want the Duchovny D.
I'm sure you do. Why do you feel the need to express this on a public space such as this?
Maybe senpai will notice me :3
Great movie…Robin Williams hidden gem
hank does play a good david duchovny
"Make a G. Get and F. Make an ....:
Haha somebody forgot leg day
Hillary Clinton ad before this
If he directed and wrote it, how can he not remember that House of D came out 2004 not 2006?
Because that was 12 years ago. As you get older, the days and years blend into one despondent time period where one half of you wants to be more than the empty existence that is life, but the other half just feels like embracing the cold grip of death isn't as daunting as it seems. At least that's what my experience has taught me.
welcome to second puberty, that feeling of discomfort you have experienced since your teens, two things might happen. it can explode into a midlife crisis in about a decade, or make you work harder at anything you are currently fucking with, including menial labor.
oh, and they might both happen too ;P
Thats how bad it failed.
It was 2006
He's gone from "sincere but inept" (House of D) to "sporadically gripping" (Aquarius), according to Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe he can aim for "moderately entertaining" in his next project?
"sporadically gripping" has got to be the weirdest consensus on Rotten Tomatoes.
I would've given House of D at least an A minus. Just wanna be fair.
his face is devoid of personality.
Dukhovny Russian Beer Ad coupled with imperialistic tendencies there made him less than actor to me.
David needs to fire the person that decides his wardrobe. Too kindergartener.
Looks like he's dressed for say... a blanket fort.
I actually suspect he's one of the rare breeds of real men who wears whatever the hell he feels like. Few still exist
His first F was in 06? Lol
Here the kids say shit and fuck on Dutch tv all the time and nobody cares. It's so hypocrite bleeping it. They hear it all the time.
The movie wasn't that bad.
Yeah, David, whatever, failure sucks, no-one cares about anything to do with you that isn't X Files, just go make another season of The X Files.
I watched all of Californiacation and thought it was hilarious and intriguing. Aquarius is also intriguing to me, not so much because of his acting in it but the time period. Plus I think the dude that plays Manson is killing it.
Californication is great and so are several of his movies.
I loved house of D, found this looking for its trailer.
