    My experience.
    1. First and most importantly - there is a difference between buying a 2pc suit, and buying a jacket/pants individually, that have attachment zippers. Generally with 2pc suits, the jacket is cut short, and as such they AREN'T good for matching with jeans etc - you end up with an exposed midriff.
    2. 2-pieces often don't have the same stretch materials / accordion panels etc around the back/crotch/hip area. And as such either the suit's cut is racy (and it's a pain to stand up in) or it's cut casual and it's a pain on a sportsbike (but fine if you're on a naked).
    3. You're more likely to get pockets and such on a 2pc suit. Lots of 1pc suits have either no pockets or maybe 1 inner wallet pocket. This varies though, I have seen some 1pc suits with 3 inner pockets.
    4. There is zero information out there about brand compatibility with 2pc suits. If you're trying to mix and match brands (heck, even different ages of gear in some brands....) it's likely the zips are incompatible.
    5. I agree that putting on a 2PC is often as big a pain as a 1PC. In both cases, regardless of what liner the suit has, I recommend a set of lightweight merino longsleeve single/long johns. Merino wool you say? Won't I get hotter? Actually no, because they wick sweat away, they stop the suit sticking to you, and the other reason for going merino is that synthetics will stink to high heaven after a long day - merinos won't.

I think #2 is the real kicker that people overlook: if you're riding a naked, you're probably better off in a two piece. Also, as a non-Rossi human, I will never get any of the benefits of the aerodynamic back hump, so I would prefer not to have one because it causes problems for EMS if something catastrophic were to happen. Lots of two piece tops are made without the hump. I have never seen a mass market, non-custom tracksuit without the hump except for flat tracker suits.

I would also call out two other considerations: (1) hot weather (Track and road); two piece is great to cool off. (2) going to the toilet - definitely the two piece wins. I use my two piece for road and one piece for the track; i bought my two piece first then upgraded to a high quality (expensive) one piece for track. Point is the double zipper system in 1 piece leathers makes it SO much easier to get on off i cant see why ALL suits are not 2 zipper systems .
The Alpine suit with 2 zipper ...w frame .. system wasnt popular because of the PRICE. 2700-3000$ even back almost a decade ago.

I am old, skills shot lol.Have a superbike collection of all curreent japanese and euro superbikes . not Brian, but a fellow shorty. Finding the right length in off the rack leathers is next to impossible for shorties. The advice I was given that I found to work is to pull up the leather a little from just under the knee (then zip up boots so it's held that way) and once you are on the bike the armor is usually in the right spot. If not, it's most likely adjustable up or down on the inside. For sleeve length, a good tailor that knows leather can fix that easy peasy.

Late comment, but I don't see why a company couldn't make a two piece suit like how freediving wetsuits are made. The wetsuits have a stretchy piece of fabric that hangs off the back of the shirt that goes between your legs and clips near your belt-line on the front. It would keep the shirt from riding up in a crash and would be easy to take off if you get hot. Only problem I could see is if you got into a slide feet first, you might get some "discomfort" down there, lol.

Well mr. Van Dam, I have both and two stand alone leather and textile jackets. My one piece fits like yours if you’re honest. It’s tight in the crotch and baggy ass in the back, looks like something is wrong. The positive is ahh, umm, not sure.
Now the two piece( both heavy duty from the same manufacture), the pants fit amazing, and the jacket also. It’s so much more comfortable to ride in, not even close. Pros/ fit looks and feels better, usually cheaper, removeable jacket for extended stops or breaks in between sessions. As far as getting it on an off it’s easier than the one piece. But let’s be honest, both are easy with the right undergarment. I have a bulge on the one piece in the front that is nonexistent with the two piece. I do enjoy switching out occasionally, however, the two piece is the way to go. Also one other side note, they won’t admit it but riders look at like you are a rookie or can’t afford a one piece, not all but some. Certainly for most, one will feel better than the other, but when it comes to my two suits both will afford me the same protection. Both are 1.3-1.4 genuine leather.
Also my two piece are directly made for each other, no mix and matching, huge difference. The deals are ou there, I bought two premium suits for a combined price of 775$
