  • www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/ma... General Motors has been growing the Chevy Malibu family for quite some time now, and now the lineup is almost complete. Late in 2011 Chevrolet launched an Ecotec version of the Malibu to introduce the 8th generation of the much loved mid size sedan from America, and now for 2013 The General is offering up a 2.5 liter version which will be their bread and butter vehicle. The two and a half liter four cylinder produces a confident 197 horsepower and 191 lb-ft which and is mated to a fuel sipping 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu gets great fuel economy and is capable of achieving 22 MPG in the city and as much as 34 MPG on the highway all with a base price of $22,155.
The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is a great choice. You cannot really go wrong as this vehicle: its reliable, the styling is good, the interior is a great place to be, the car drives nice, and the price point is affordable. Soon we should see the Chevy Malibu turbo hitting the showroom floor. The mid-size sedan segment is now loaded and with the upcoming redesigned Honda Accord and Ford Fusion.

Exactly, this Malibu is plenty big already. Large family sedans aren't my thing anyways.

how do you figure this car competes with a Sentra? this is a mid sized car not a compact. Midsized means same class as fusion, Camry, accord, and 200

the previous gen impala, as crappy as it was, sold quite well. how many of those sales were to fleets is another story but sales are sales

    Nissan Sentra?
    what are you smoking?
Sentra starts at 16K and ends at 21K.
Malibu starts at 23K and goes up to 32K.
Malibu is Chevys answer to Fusion, Altima, Accord and Camry.
and where did Taurus came in between?
Taurus goes in competition with Impala, 300.

The Chevy Malibu isn't my type of car. But being fair and objective, I will admit that the people I know who have them never had much to complain about. So Chevy must have done a few things right when they made the Malibu.

2013 Fusion is already here with all the engine variants at once, so in my mind this is a waste and GM will see yet another terrible future.

this cry cries for a V6.

You say reliable. I'd rather walk than drive a GM vehicle. My channel show's GM'S past quality. and it carries on to this genegation of Malibu
