Continuing frigid conditions have plunged the Yantai and Weihai areas of the Shandong Peninsula into an ongoing cold snap, culminating in relentless snowstorms on December 21, 2023. Zhifu District in Yantai City witnessed a historic meteorological event with snow depths reaching an astonishing 53 centimeters, setting a record high.

@@ocrambleanything but EV. A tank I suppose. My word that's a lot of snow. Reminds me of my time in north Dakota . We had 4x4s and snow mobiles. In North Dakota you had little heaters in the freeze plug and had to plug your car in if you wanted it to start in the morning. I don't believe you can do this with an EV car. Mine was a 69 camero. So cold I got in one morning and the seat cover broke up from the cold. If plugged in, that puppy started every time.
Never seen a 4x4 Camero was it a special option
@johngibson3837 Bwahahaha, you funny. That was my little daily driver. I was in the Air Force at that time and had access to the 4x4 and snow mobile. No battery could handle the cold. First time I ever saw little posts with outlets on them. I learned early on you had to roll into your extension cord when you left, there were always extension cord thieves. My first day plugging In my car. Came back to a no start on the camero. Not a good day, but a good education
Those days were hard on the poor car. Little 69 6 cylinder. I'm from western Washington and those winters were rather new to me. After a storm the locals would head out on their snowmobiles and pick up people stranded in their cars and take them to their farm house to warm up. Interesting times. In winter, you were checked leaving base and they checked that you had the required safety things in your car . They gave us a list. One item was a bright red or orange flag or ball for your antenna. If you got stuck, you put that on the extended antenna so the rescue peeps could find the car in a snow drift. I stayed in the barracks on those days. That mess in China looks horrible. At least in North Dakota the snow was dry. Couldn't make a snow ball. They told us newbies to watch put for the snow snakes. You can see their tracks. Butt faces, no snakes, just little tracks left on the surface from the wind blowing little chunks of ice on the snow. I was very gullible back then.

I have photos of lake Geneva in Switzerland where the cars , trees, house fronts on the are shores are totally covered on ice, and I mean solidly covered in this stuff. People lived through it , then went on with their lives. WHAT HAS CHANGED.

Some areas are better prepared because they deal with it every year. What changed is now we have youtube videos showing us what other people go through. Last time they dealt with a bad blizzard they just dealt with it and we didn't' get to see any of it.

What is not normal is record cold and record snowfalls , which are the absolute opposite of what we have been told to expect due to the planet supposedly getting warmer.
Maybe the planet is actually getting colder , while the statistics and measurements are revised ,homogenised and manipulated to give the appearance of warming when there is in fact , none.

Ice ages are one of them actually, much of the Earth's history has been in an Ice Age, entirety of human written history exists in a gap between ice ages which is kind of crazy to think about. It reminds me though I saw there was a recent thing when all of the enviro rich elite hypocrites flew (in their gas guzzling private jets) to some big international meeting, some of their planes actually froze at the airport due to the weather - when they were going to talk about global warming! LOl!

Where I live, we have 60 cm (2 ft) of snow every few years. But here, it looked like much more! Snow drifts, I gues.s. But when I lived in Warsaw, there was a snowstorm, with the aftermath that many people who parked at main streets could see their cars again only when the spring came. There was no other way to restore traffic quickly on the key streets.

I thought this looked like a typical winter storm clip for Buffalo. We live in a world with sometimes weather extremes, that's it. I feel for people unaccustomed to that weather. I grew up in it, no big deal for me. Waist high snow walking to school was a norm. But they are in a tropic zone and probably don't know how to deal with it.
