In a climatic clash with unyielding cold fronts, the coastal landscapes of Yantai and Weihai in Shandong Province have become battlegrounds for a relentless winter storm. The Shandong Maritime Safety Administration, cognizant of the impending risks, has issued a yellow warning, prompting the suspension of all passenger ships within its jurisdiction.
The channel lists such natural disasters as:
1) Geological emergencies: Earthquake, Volcanic eruption, Mud, Landslide, Avalanche;
2) Hydrological emergencies: Flood, Tsunami, Limnological disaster,
3) Fires: Forest fire, Peat fire;

ウクライナ侵攻の時期は例年なら穀倉地帯は凍っていたのが、実際はシャーベット状になっていて車輪では走行不可能な状態なところをドローンに爆撃を受けています。つまり参謀本部の判断ミスですね。

I. have lived in Illinois & Wisconsin and such a small level of snow is NOT a big deal. Put on your chains and off you go. It is a big deal if you're in an area that doesn't usually get snow. I also used to live in North Carolina where 1" of snow pretty much shutdown the whole state. It's one thing if snow is normal AND you have snowplows, etc, but a different story altogether if you don't have such equipment.

Here in Texas we had the vortex 2 years ago znd it was devastating, we love our 30 day stretch 100 degree weather over 30 degrees, we love our models and margaritas ,cold sucks big time,!
Same is true in upstate New York where lake effect storms can dump several feet of snow very quickly. You have to adopt a totally different mindset to survive during winter. Most motorists carry storm survival items with them such as chains for tires, shovels, blankets, food, water, flares, etc. It can be brutal for the unprepared.

I’m sorry, 8 to 10 inches of snow is just not that impressive. Even in the southern United States, there are snow storms of more than 12 inches and it’s not the end of the world. It doesn’t go past the local news.

This weather is an everyday occurrence in upstate New York, where lake effect storms dump several feet of snow in just a few hours causing whiteout conditions with near zero visibility. The plows and other snow removal equipment is some of the best in the world because of necessity. But it still takes a day or so to get things moving again. A big city with high traffic and poor snow removal equipment in a storm like this is a nightmare.

Yeah, I'm from Scania (the southernmost part of Sweden) and like many people here can remember the blizzard week around New Year, 1979 with unusual masses of snow. Spent some of my early childhood in Norrland, where cold and snow-heavy winters are quite normal and a part of life. :)
