Anyone watching this video DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER ON SENSORS. Use MAF sensor cleaner so you don't damage the wires. And you should never physically touch the inside wires. Good thing there is a disclaimer in the video

    • @draxus1266
      @draxus1266 Před 6 lety +2

depends to what result you gotm did your car got better idling & no hesitations, if yes, so your wires are definitely fine. For some their maf sensor cannot work properly when sprayed with carb cleaner or even a cocntact cleaner. It's still best to use MAF Sensor cleaner, safest..

@@istiakahmad4727 That's what I was thinking. Not Wd-40, but I might try gasoline, lol. MAF sensors arent that expensive online at rockauto (aftermarket) so it's just as easy to replace it, inmho. $30-35 usd

    Good videos, perfect finnish accent.
I replaced plugs and air filter on a 2008 1.6 Avensis.
There was a tiny gas leak which became a huge leak when I disturbed it. O-ring in two pieces. New o-rings from the dealership.

Like bill said, NEVER use carb cleaner. Man contain a light oil . Buy a spray can of MAF sensor cleaner., available at any parts store. It's good for many cleanings.

Hi sir Peter, I'm planning to this by next month (june) and really hoping to help our family corolla altis 2002 (220,000km) somehow bring it's power or better idling, better revving. Hopefully me & my partner could buy a CRC maf sensor & throttle body cleaner. O, I'm going to replace her pcv valve as well.
I'll give you hint about the result. Thanks!
(also, please use a cleaner that was INTEND only for maf sensor cleaner & do not use anthing else, this is way much safer for the sensor due to it's sensitivity)

Hi Peter! I already have the proper sprays, finally with nice budget I completed it for the car and excited to do these this the coming week end.
Anyways, just wanna ask some issue again regarding altis 02, it has a problem when we bounces at humps theres a sound like tearing at front wheel and I''m not sure if those are bearings or just ball joints.
I already inspected last week end the ball joints and their seems so fine, just replaced the cv joints a year ago & sounds differs from cv joint issue. Whats your suggestion about this peter? The sounds just seems getting worse as days goes by. Thanks in advance again.

Thanks for letting me know I can use carb cleaner for cleaning the MAF sensor. I'm going to drive my car around ('10 Corolla S) and see if that helps. Sometimes when I pressed on the gas the car didn't accelerate at all. I cleaned the air filter and the MAF sensor, I'm hoping the MAF sensor being clean will fix my issue.

Check compression pressures. If they are less than 10 BAR, then that is the reason for a bad start.

My 98 Corolla is reading spark plug 1 misfire changed all 4 plugs and spark plugs. Car is running rough especially idling and back fires and I smell gas. Is it located in the house after the air filter just clean it or do you think it's a clogged injector. I did have oil in spark plug one. Do u think I need injector cleaner?

Hi I have a Toyota Corolla 2002 VVT-i engine, my problem is when I start it in the morning, my RPM is rough then dies after a few seconds, it will stabilize after 2-3 starts. Even when my engine is already warmed up, my normal startiing will be 2-3 cranks. I already changed my ignition coils, spark plugs, and air filter, will cleaning the MAF sensor solve my problem?

Peter I have a problem and i think is from MAF sensor. When car have speed with AC on and i press cluch pedal engine turn off... wittout AC on is everything ok. Another problem is acceleration... if I press very fast acceleration pedal only after some time (1 or max 2 seconds engine will accelerate) and don't have torque and horse power... past days I clean MAF sensor and my toyota yaris 1.0 vvt-i 68 hp from year 2000 run perfectly withouth this problems... but after replace some gaskets from fuel injectors I think MAF sensor goes wrong. Maybe imperfect connection... i don't know... can you help me please?
that problemsi had 1 year, but i clean all engine parts except maf sensor. After I read about maf sensor and this need to be clean, past days i clean it, work perfectly all thinks, but after I need to open again, something happend because I have the same issues...

yesterday I mount it, check engine light on, i drive some km and next day all looks good, no problem... now works again very good I think... CPU not "see" immediatly sensor if I connect, and need some time to be in parameters? Or what happened...? why I have this engine behavior...
I forgot to say that when engine have that problems, after some time (cold engine about 5 hours) if I want to start it, starts but at 500 rpm after a sec goes to 1200 rpm which is normal.
Now I didn't have that problems anymore, but what could give me those problems...?

on others wires I have about 13V (it's normal)
